  1. No, it uses the heat from the exhaust, to boil the water, turn it into steam and then inject it with the fuel in the engine...
  2. Hun, how could this be, I forgot to put this one on my list, dunno what I'd put in it though.
  3. Check this out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Celica-Coupe_W0QQitemZ330207563099QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330207563099
  4. Please post a link to that Celica. This is the car my dad had (well not THAT one obviously) when I was born and for my next project I think it would be nice to do it with my dad and revive the good old days.
  5. We have it pretty good ourselves too, up here in Canada. Speaking of global warmth, I heard, in a documentary on the subject, that if the planet had been 2-3 degree higher when "created", we wouldn't even know what snow is. If it had been 2-3 colder, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
  6. What I don't have, but I would really like. E30 wagon with 3.6 M5 engine and a turbo on top of things. Opel Manta, a bit like this one:http://www.hilmersson-racing.com/start.asp?show=ea MK1 Golf/Rabbit with 1.8T & AWD 1971-73 Celica with 3SGTE and Miata IRS/sub-frame/disc brakes. 1971 Datsun Skyline with RB24 N/A and ITB's One of these: http://www.dragonmotorcars.com/ An Attack kit car. Or, a Ferrari 308 GTS with SBC...
  7. Next thing we'll know, they'll start pulling back flips and corkscrew 540's in rally cars. When I was a kid, I was DREAMING of pulling a back flip on my dirt bike, but let's face it, it had never been done and I wasn't going to be the first one to break my neck, to prove it could be done, but I was sure it was possible. fast forward 10-15 years later, Travis Pastrana pulls a back flip in the ESPN extreme games. Next thing I knew, they were pulling flips with quads and snowmobiles, that only leaves us with cars...
  8. First time I'm witness to a "frame off" resto. on a UNIBODY lol.
  9. Depending on the thickness of the spacer, you usually need longer studs with a spacer. The longer the studs & the more the wheel sticks out from the mounting face, the greater the leverage force exerted on the studs, which can in turn stretch or bend the studs... Usually on car with very sticky tires. That's what I understood from reading, I'm no expert on suspension geometry or anything. Hope it helped. To the more knowledgeable guys: Correct me if I'm wrong.
  10. Yeah!!! I remember, I think we discussed the fact, cause I think it was for sale on E-bay, that the seller was asking way to much for such a hack job... Seems it's been sold.
  11. Think the Z would look good in that MirraChrome paint??? With flat black stripes???
  12. One quick question, is it possible to adapt the rear independent susp. of a normal 510, to fit the rear of a 510 wagon??? Thanks. Alex.
  13. Check the small metal tabs on the glass which the power and ground wires connect to (one on each side) see if they are not corroded or even broken.
  14. Did you keep all the e-mails, (from both sides) your invoice, your paypal confirmation and your shipping bill?? Cause if so, with that, the pics. and the mention of your call on your phone bill, you have quite a few good proofs. I'm from Canada, so I don't know much about your laws, but you could hire a lawyer and sue, for fraud, stealing... You'd have good chances of winning this, as usually, judges don't like con men. You could also ask that the guy pay what it cost you for all the process. On top of that, there are more than lots of chances that when the guy receives his subpoena, he'll suddenly develop a sense for cooperation.
  15. Do you have a link to this??
  16. Try to borrow a timing light from school, the little trick I gave you is THE easiest way to find out what quits when the cylinder goes dead. If the light keeps on flashing steadily, you know you have a fuel problem and if it stops flashing or skips a few flashes every now and then, you know you have an ignition problem. It takes out 1/2 of the variables off the equation...
  17. How old is the ignition wiring? Where is it routed? Check for cracks or worn spots. Also, here's an hill billy trick, if you have a timing light. You hook the timing light to cylinder #6, you route the light's wires trough one of the inspection lids and bring it inside (if length permits it.) or tie it to one of the wiper arms. Drive the car around until the fault occurs, when it does, check the timing light to see if it fires consistently. If it does, check the wiring for the injectors or fuel system. If it blinks erratically, you know you have a fault in the ignition system.
  18. Does it seem wider than the Q45 or is it just the pics.? So, the install should be the same as a Q45, regarding the axles??? Thanks, that should be the last question.
  19. SO, if I get this right, in Japan the 200ZR & the VG30DE powered 300Z had the CLSD from the BEGINING of the production run, UNLIKE the U.S. Z31T that got the CLSD only in April 87?
  20. I'll just have to believe you, I don't know if you read Japanese or if you have a translator software, but I can't make up anything that's in that link. Thanks for sharing what you know... Do you know if the 200ZRs had an LSD from the beginning or from 03/87 like the USDM 300ZX???
  21. I have absolutely no clue... In fact I started this tread, cause it's the diff. that I'm after and Japanese importers don't understand much of what I can tell them, so I needed exact years of production...
  22. Hi, I'm looking at alternatives to add gauges to my S30 and was considering external gauges on the cowl panel, like the dragsters... The reason for this, is that I don't like (read: HATE) A-pillar gauge pods and I don't want to mess up the original shape of the Zs dash, as it's one of my favorite feature on the car... Thanks.
  23. Well, let's see... when I'm not at work, working on cars, I'm elsewhere working on more cars AND when I'm not working on cars, I'm roaming the net in search of info. or parts for said cars, so I guess I COULD have a problem... LOL.
