  1. First of all what you are referring to happened in the province of Quebec, near where I live and it wasn't funny at all. + You might also find HILLARIOUS the fact the AK-47 toting, MOST trouble making, faction of those Mohawks came from your side of the boarder, (In fact some weren't even mohawks at all, some were hired mercenaries) in reinforcement for their Canadian friends and that these same Mohawks, from both sides of the boarder, are responsible for a huge drugs, weapons and illegal immigrants smuggling organisation by profiting from their NATIVE status with all the advantages it gives them. Some of those advantages are: don't pay for electricity, don't pay taxes and they can go about, from one side of the boarder to the other without being bothered. I'm sorry if this comes out as harsh but, you just brung back some not so good memories and you are laughing at it at the same time, people were stuck without being able to go to work for months, people were killed and people lost there homes and all they had in this event so I don't find that hilarious at all. The point of this tread, I think, was to laugh at how stupid some people can be, not to laugh at other's misery. Canadian or U.S.A. residents, we are all, in fact, AMERICANS as we all live in AMERICA and I'm pretty sure we have a lot of the same stupid people on our side of the boarder.
  2. GOT YA!!! That makes a lot of sense, I'll try to read more on this subject but, it's way clearer now that you explained and resumed it very well. Thank you Tony D and TimZ. Alex.
  3. Just read the article, so, what you are referring to would be the NUCLEATE COOLING PHASE??? and that the turbulence would help to prevent steam bubbles from clinging to the surface??? Thanks a lot for that, I bookmarked that page right away.
  4. So, you guys are talking about a steam barrier between the liquid coolant and the water passages??? I'm going to read what you suggested right away... Thanks.
  5. Bump. Funny, after one day of being posted, when I click on my included links, it brings me to the home page of the site instead of the particular car i want to show... Just edited, removed links and pasted them back in...
  6. Well, I'm Canadian and I can understand that Americans might not know the names of our politicians and national monuments & attraction but, Rhinoceroses in northern Saskatchewan and Mammoths in Labrador!!! Come on!!! I think that if the situation would be turned around, we Canadians MIGHT fare A BIT better as I'm pretty sure American politics are way more televised here in Canada than the other way around. You also have to take into account that this is a comedy show so, they did take the most stupid answers of the bunch to put on the show... The sad part is when he asked POLITICIANS and university HISTORY TEACHERS & STUDENTS and they don't have a clue that this is a joke... Bush didn't even realized that he used our Prime Minister's first name with Russia's President's last name... And the guy who said he was studying Russia didn't know that Saskatchewan was not near Tchetchenia but, a Canadian province...
  7. :lmao:It's sad to see that this guy owns welding equipment, he can't even lay down a TACK properly without burning trough...
  8. You could always use a "SATIN" clear coat over the last layer of resin... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few years ago, I went to a car show where there was this focus rally car on display, the dash was covered in a fuzzy like anti-glare (well I suppose that's what it was used for) stuff that, at first sight looked like suede but, upon closer examination, seemed to be SPRAYED ON. What brung me to believe this, was the fact that the original vents in the dash were fuzzy too and seemed stuck in place from the stuff... Anybody knows or seen what I'm talking about???
  9. Just subscribe to the tread... that's what I always do when i don't want to loose track of something... Whenever a new post is added, you get noticed by e-mail and you can access the tread you subscribed to in your "User CP"
  10. That part I understand... It`s that part I'm not sure about... I know that turbulence in the intake charge near the combustion chamber helps atomizing fuel but, what does turbulence do for heat transfer??? Thanks.
  11. Please explain this... I'm not sure I understand why... (genuine question, not arguing...) That's what I was thinking (without really knowing, I never ran my L series long enough to even be aware of such problems) when I suggested Extrude-Honing... ????????????????????????????? Now you lost me... I thought an Eddie was the area behind a protrusion in the flow, where the fluid is barely moving which would create a localised boiling spot????? What do you mean by "space-time continuum"???
  12. OK, I was going to buy this, http://lespac.com/search/detail.php?PHPSESSID=8b96b35fd6557f6e4cbf0b6c46ea6665&infst=RK_5742414%3B&cp=26&region=&gr=12&majalerte=&a=5742414&o=%2Fsearch%2Findex.php&r=1651&liste_ville=&listcmp=&parindex=0&page=1&total=16&nbrpages=2&visite_recherche=&categorie_titre=%5BV%E9hicules+-+Autos%5D&idcookie=c7d7a52137d79b3f14f772afedc31bf9&zc=26&zg=12&orderby=distance&mots=325&distancemax=0&agemax=0&liste_region=&catgr=c26-12&R11_de=0&R11_a=&R11=&prix_de=0&prix_a=0&annee_de=1989&annee_a=1989&no_region_de=0&no_region_a=&no_region=&R19_de=0&R19_a=&R19=&R12=0&R13_de=0&R13_a=0&R16=0&R14=0&R15_de=0&R15_a=0&R18=0&R07_de=0&R07_a=0&R06=0&R17=0&type=0&etat=0 since it was never available in America and it would be very different. + I work at BMW so, parts would be pretty inexpensive for me... Looking for E30 M3s the other day, I stumbled upon this http://lespac.com/search/detail.php?PHPSESSID=8b96b35fd6557f6e4cbf0b6c46ea6665&infst=RK_5740073%3B&cp=26&region=&gr=12&majalerte=&a=5740073&o=%2Fsearch%2Findex.php&r=1651&liste_ville=&listcmp=&parindex=0&page=1&total=1&nbrpages=1&visite_recherche=&categorie_titre=%5BV%E9hicules+-+Autos%5D&idcookie=3ae6a867b271589d9c259c0b925e967e&zc=26&zg=12&orderby=distance&mots=ur-quattro&distancemax=0&agemax=0&liste_region=&catgr=c26-12&R11_de=0&R11_a=&R11=&prix_de=0&prix_a=0&annee_de=0&annee_a=0&no_region_de=0&no_region_a=&no_region=&R19_de=0&R19_a=&R19=&R12=0&R13_de=0&R13_a=0&R16=0&R14=0&R15_de=0&R15_a=0&R18=0&R07_de=0&R07_a=0&R06=0&R17=0&type=0&etat=0 and I'm not so sure of what I want to do anymore... What all of you guys think??? Thanks for your help and input...
  13. I agree, there could be displayed in a museum... Truly a functional work of art.
  14. Very nice!!! I also like your strut bar... Is it of your own design or is it available commercially??? Thanks.
  15. Hey, MAXIMUS, where in Ontario are you exactly??? Is that diff. clutch type or viscous??? How much??? How much for the engine??? I might know someone interested... You can PM me your answers... Thank. Alex.
  16. Don't count on a 2 for 1 deal, the prices have started going up on these cars lately... Rumors are that the government wants to change the law from: "you can import whatever you want, just as long as it's older than 15 years" to 25, they say it's killing the used car market. The importers are profiting from this rumor by telling people: YOU SHOULD BUY ONE NOW WHILE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHANCE... How can it be killing the market if these are cars we never got here anyways????
  17. OK, that might seem odd coming from a guy who works at BMW but, has anyone ever seen a M3 lookalike body kit for the E30 4 door??? I was wondering how it would look on that wagon I'm looking at cause, if I do buy it and put the 335 engine in it, it has to look as mean as it will be...
  18. I see you have a darker color around the cluster, is it just a different color or is it a different material???? It's kind of hard to see on the pictures... By the way, that is simply awe inspiring.
  19. WOW, who makes that thing??? I find it rather interesting... Hummm, looks like we think alike, I was going to suggest just that but, kept on reading and it seems you beat me to it... Extrude Honing would sure take care of the eddies and flashing problems IF that's the main cause... Funny thing, 2 weeks ago I would have never known what an EDDIE is, if it weren't for the fact that I just got into Kayaking and the term is largely used in that sport... Sorry, just had to share.
  20. JEEZ, if you didn't live that far from the boarder I might have some nice things for you... http://lespac.com/search/detail.php?PHPSESSID=d0d820f6f22b29d9c6bbb3a18a0ce825&infst=RK_5689435%3B&cp=50&region=&gr=12&majalerte=&a=5689435&o=%2Fsearch%2Findex.php&r=1651&liste_ville=&listcmp=&parindex=0&page=1&total=2&nbrpages=1&visite_recherche=&categorie_titre=%5BV%E9hicules+-+Antiques%2Fcollection%5D&idcookie=712bfa07cb70a37ea7f6fe01b4e3d900&zc=50&zg=12&orderby=distance&mots=bmw+m3&distancemax=0&agemax=0&liste_region=&catgr=c50-12&R11_de=0&R11_a=&R11=&prix_de=0&prix_a=0&annee_de=0&annee_a=0&no_region_de=0&no_region_a=&no_region=&R19_de=0&R19_a=&R19=&R13_de=0&R13_a=0&R12=0&R16=0&R14=0&R15_de=0&R15_a=0&R18=0&R07_de=0&R07_a=0&R06=0&R17=0&type=0&etat=0 http://lespac.com/search/detail.php?PHPSESSID=d0d820f6f22b29d9c6bbb3a18a0ce825&infst=RK_5519584%3B&cp=26&region=&gr=12&majalerte=&a=5519584&o=%2Fsearch%2Findex.php&r=1651&liste_ville=&listcmp=&parindex=0&page=10&total=92&nbrpages=12&visite_recherche=&categorie_titre=%5BV%E9hicules+-+Autos%5D&idcookie=423caab4e5fc7f791d37b4e1b7827ebe&zc=26&zg=12&orderby=distance&mots=bmw+m3&distancemax=0&agemax=0&liste_region=&catgr=c26-12&R11_de=0&R11_a=&R11=&prix_de=0&prix_a=0&annee_de=0&annee_a=0&no_region_de=0&no_region_a=&no_region=&R19_de=0&R19_a=&R19=&R12=0&R13_de=0&R13_a=0&R16=0&R14=0&R15_de=0&R15_a=0&R18=0&R07_de=0&R07_a=0&R06=0&R17=0&type=0&etat=0
  21. Well, if you're into E30s, let me show you what I'm about to buy as a DD. I heard that only 4 were imported in Canada straight from Germany by privates... I had the chance to see 2 of them, one was owned by one of the service adviser's at BMW where I work and the other one is this one... You should like this... http://lespac.com/search/detail.php?PHPSESSID=c6b5ca2d15c898c6e55790b7d983cf33&infst=RK_5742414%3B&cp=26&region=&gr=12&majalerte=&a=5742414&o=%2Fsearch%2Findex.php&r=1651&liste_ville=&listcmp=&parindex=0&page=1&total=14&nbrpages=2&visite_recherche=&categorie_titre=%5BV%E9hicules+-+Autos%5D&idcookie=2ff5e2810359b999e0e58900a94cbe4e&zc=26&zg=12&orderby=distance&mots=325&distancemax=0&agemax=0&liste_region=&catgr=c26-12&R11_de=0&R11_a=BMW&R11=E&prix_de=0&prix_a=0&annee_de=1989&annee_a=1989&no_region_de=0&no_region_a=&no_region=&R19_de=0&R19_a=&R19=&R12=0&R13_de=0&R13_a=0&R16=0&R14=0&R15_de=0&R15_a=0&R18=0&R07_de=0&R07_a=0&R06=0&R17=0&type=0&etat=0 I'd like to swap a 335 engine in there when timing is right... (when an other salesman destroys his demo and I can pick up the carcass for a good price...)
  22. Yes they are and yes they will work but, with the cost of the mounts + the cost of shipping, you'd be better off looking at mounts that are built and sold by HZ members... Or build your own.
  23. Yeah, you can see the same green car in the second pic. behind the Charger...
