Sometimes my 83 will do that after sitting. I just pump it up and down with my hand at starts to work fine as long as the car dose not sit too long. So far I just call it character.

Take old starter with you and have it checked, free at shucks. If they say its bad you can be more confident that the new starter will fix the prob.

Dose this also happen when reving the engine under no load. My quick guess is the mass air flow sensor, the device on the intake closest to the air cleaner. Read this http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/EFI&fuel.htm. Also when you get back to us try to use better grammer and senteace structure.

Sweeeet!! Kinda reminds me of my cable tv headend;). There, our backbone for the internet was just upgraded form 2 cans and a string to dial up!! Yea! Btw, any one have any commado 6400 parts, my sever keeps crashing and those parts are getting hard to come by. Also how do you guys deal with the heat from those vacumme tubes?? You gotta love bleeding edge technology!!!

^^Yea but once you put a cam in you have to start scewing with running rich at idle due to low manifold pressure. Also Intake and exughst really help the cam do its job.

There is no switch up to 83. Besides that would just keep the starter from getting power. -
So dose it miss then at a steady throttle? If so dose it studder at steady 3000rpm?
