I just mounted the brackets on the car and then lifted each end up and put it on the stand. My car was a completely stripped 71 and so was not too heavy. The hard part was keeping it from moving forward of back while I was doing it.

Yes Rags is right. You can put a carrier out of a short nose housing into a long nose housing. The only problems are the ring gear bolt sizes and the side stubs that go in for the axles. My friend and I put a mechanical LSD into his 240SX short nose housing and his only problem was finding the CV's with the correct side stubs to work with that LSD. Long versus short has been covered a lot and I would search under "viscus lsd". The Viscus that comes in the Z32 and 240SX is the same size as the long nose R200's. Don

I like the idea of the solid rear but I think the 9" is overkill. I was looking at a 8.8 and I think that it is plenty strong for the for the weight of a Z. I mean look at the times some of the mustang run with a stock 8.8. The reason I was looking at the 8.8 and not a 9 is the weight diffrence plus I allready have one from a mustang. Another question is do the 8.8 and the 9" mount up the same to the car the same? If they do than which to use is a moot point as you could run either one. Just a thought. Don

It is a 02 civic EX and I am not going to change it much but I had never even driven a honda before I tested this one. I bought it for the mileage as with bush/cheney both being oil men you don't know how high the price will go for gas. I have learned so much about Z cars on this site I wondered if there were any like it for civics. Thanks for your help Don

Thanks guys but i just whimped out. There are not very many 240's around here and the ones I saw were eather over priced junk or way overpriced good ones. Then with gas prices going up again I don't want make bush/cheny any richer. They being from oil backgrounds and still tied to oil, they like it when the price goes up. Ok I whimped out big time and got a honda civic ex. I am going to try to get over 40mpg. Gotta save money for the Z as I still don't have everything for it yet.

I am selling my 04 Toyota Tacoma Doublecab and am wanting to buy a 240SX se. I would like to know the good points of eather. I like the 91 to 93 hatch back and the 95-98 SX's. My knowlage is a little limited on these cars and I want to get back into a rear wheel drive car.

Mike that LSD looks just like the one I bought from nismo or I should say MSA did and then sold it to me. It came in the nismo box with instructions I couldn't read. Yes I can read english I just don't write it well.

First turn, first row in the bleachers. Hard to get better seats. You can see the pit exit and the end of the straight, turn one , two, three. I can't go this year and would like someone to use the seats. If I don't get any results I will try Ebay. I paid $217 for the set of race and qualifying tickets and would like to get my money back. I have gotten a ticket for no plate but that was 28 years ago in Gig Harbor. Two years ago I was pulled over and given a warning by a WSP man on I-5. Do it and take your chances. Don

I have had emails from ebay saying I couldn't use ebay with out verifying my password. They looked real but ebay still works and I forwarded the emails to ebay then deleted them. Never click on the links on emails of that type as they only want account info. Don

I made my own mounts and the front crossmember is notched a little. The engine is a little tough to get in without it modifying the fire wall itself. I can send pics to whoever wants them and you can tell if I am crazy to do it this way. If you want pics let me know what and large or small pic, I have a cable modem so it's not a issue for me. Don

From what I know, the 302 and 351 are the same size blocks except for the 1.3'' diffrence in deck hights. My 302 and 351 front sump oil pans seem the same but for the diffrent size (cut outs?) areas to allow for the diffrent size bearings. I have not fitted the 351 yet but the 302 is sitting behind the crossmember with the balancer about 1'' above it. I can't remove my tranny (AOD) with out removing the engine also but it is a price I'll pay. Also all this may change when (if) I get the car running but it's the way it fits now. Don
