Any ideas are welcome as long they are cost effective and ease of assemble . . It's all about time and money .

Thanks . 140mm COB rings and I used hot glue . You can also get them in different colors , I like white .

'73 6.2 LS3 Crate Build *Lots of Pics*

Very nice , love the color . -
I believed Autoloc sell something like the above pic . I'm trying to keep the cost down by using eBay LEDs , glue and go . If you placed the LEDs against the lens , they will be ok . I'm going to try to do something like a Dodge Challenger tail lights , perimeter LEDs . We'll see when my side emitting LED strips come in . Hopefully this week , takes a while when buying stuff from China .
-
Thanks . I'll try next weekend . Doing body work to it at this time . The car stays outside , covered , during the week .

It's a Texas thing .

Headlights installed . " Zbright " ( PLATA ) . Be aware of eBay 7" round H4 headlights . I bought 3 sets and only 1 fits , others are not keyed correctly for the Z buckets . Had to mod. the above set for proper fit .

Thanks . Hopefully , I do a better job on my next set . There are some flaws on the current ones .

Personally , I like the red lenses . It's not hard to separate the lenses . I will be using something similar to my Z31 and Z32 tail light gasket material , kind of sticky strips that won't hardened up and screws for easier disassemble in the future . To separate the lenses , I put the tail light assembly in the oven for 5 minutes at 250 deg. and kept reheat them ( 2 minutes at a time ) until the lenses come off . Make sure to remove everything that attaches to the tail light assembly like bulbs , screws , wiring harness , etc.

Going to do something similar to those , with perimeter for running lights . Side emitting LED strips are on the way . Trying to keep cost down and easy way for everyone to follow .
-
I saw them . I'm not ready to spend $500 for them . I'm cheap , ask Mattd428 .

Attempting to build LED tail lights by using cheap eBay LEDs . Got my tail lights disassembled . Here are the LEDs I was going to use . Plan was to have 3 halos on top and 4 halos on bottom with round COB LEDs in each halo . Halos were to be the running lights and top 3 COBs = sequential turn signal and bottom 4 COBs = brake . But the COB LEDs are very bright , it's like looking at an arc welder , and burning way too HOT . It'll burn itself out w/o some kind of heat sinks and fans . So the COBs are out . Awaiting on new LEDs for new design . Really like to keep the sequential turn signal , will see . Picture of sequential module ( behind the lenses )

Should have , right . I was going to put " 5.7 LS1 " ( eBay emblem ) in front of " 280Z " but I think that's just too much going on in a small space .
-
Awesome ! I would love to try that sometimes , more of a straight line kinda guy .
-
Covers on motor . I might have to pull the motor and do some detail work in the engine compartment , maybe later . . Wonder if I have to do something with intake to complement the coil covers .
-
Actually, pretty easy . I used Scotch brite pad ( brown ) to remove the old paint , down to the chrome . Taped up and sprayed gloss black . Put on red vinyl then trimmed out the " 280Z " .
-
Considered where you live , neither . Less work and money .
-
Here are the " 280Z " fender emblems . Before . Purchased from a HybridZ member , GRNSKY , at a great price . Great seller . After . Covers with emblems . Will have some more pictures of them on the motor soon .

Thanks .

Awesome ! . Welcome to HybridZ . -
I think either one will work but the C5 and Fbody are cheaper . Check with Rockauto catalog , you will see why .

Time for the 5.3 to get some more power

Not for FI . It'll go KABOOM again . -
What could prevent injectors from firing.

Double check your work , since it was fine until you worked on it . Make sure to use correct size wires/cables . Since the battery is further away from the original location , the wires used must be large enough to carry the work load . Pics will be helpful . -
These headlights are not true projectors . They are cheap eBay headlights . I just wanted to upgrade to H4s , replaceable bulbs , over the old school sealed beams .
