  1. You have to zip it up then upload it. The upload applet filters all but certain file extensions.
  2. Post your MSQ. I have a few things I'd like to look at.
  3. I'm willing to bet your lack of spark is due to the plugs being horribly fouled. Get a new set of copper NGK plugs and test for spark again. If you're still getting that sporadic spark signal then there's something wrong with your connection to trigger.
  4. Well, a good donut just for fun sake should only be attempted in an empty parking lot. Flying debris can get expensive. You can experiment with using the brakes to improve the quality and radius of the turn (brakes are biased to the front giving your rear more resistance to push against). Width and compound of the tires makes a big difference, especially on dry surfaces. As the tires heat up from the friction they will get sticky and start to grab more. Cheap high mileage tires are great for donuts because they're usually made of harder rubber. Harder rubber lasts longer, but is more dangerous in everyday driving. Most of all, just be careful.
  5. First, actually not a bad donut if you're still stock. Second, yes buffing and polishing will bring the shine back out. Use a little wax after if you really want it to sparkle.
  6. Nice, June of 1970. Not an early early 240, but early enough to be worth something eventually. You have more at stake here than just the decision of motor/body. You CAN NOT drive a car and restore it at the same time. It just doesn't work. I've tried as have many others. You always end up needing another vehicle eventually. Not to mention, it will nickel and dime you to death just keeping it on the road. I say strip it and get the body right first. Then worry about the engine options later.
  7. I must ask, but aside from the interior panel, what's the difference? I have an 82 2+2 Fairlady and I don't think they're different from my friends 83 2+2 USDM.
  8. Wow...I haven't been on zcar.com for a long time...I had over 2000+ posts there last time I remember.
  9. Ditto, there isn't much that the vlc viewer can't play.
  10. Oh I know that. Everything seems to be working now. I'm not sure what the deal was, but after I posted this thread the quick reply box started showing up like it's suppose to.
  11. You should ask someone in the service center if they can print out the necessary information for you from Alldata.
  12. Ok, but I suddenly get one here?
  13. At the bottom of a thread/post there always use to be a quick reply box. Lately it hasn't been coming up for me. I've tried Firefox, IE and Google Chrome with the same results in all three. It's like I don't have permissions to reply to posts or something?
  14. I'd be interested in seeing the hood to cover that hump... Scratch that, I'd be interested in seeing the look on the safety inspectors face when you try to get it inspected!
  15. i would highly recommend buying some of comp cams break in lube, its an oil additive so you can use any oil you want, and it brings zddp levels to 1400-1500ppm, and even though you posted a couple months it is recommended to use zddp in these engines every time you change your oil, and it can be dumped right in to existing oil, i bought mine off the shelf

  16. Damn, I was going to say I have an entire RHD S130 with a crack free dash for sale...
  17. Tony's right. It's referred to as uneconomically feasible to repair. Insurance companies love to use it because if you want to keep your car, they'll total it, pay you a set value for the car minus what they consider the current value and then you end up with a little cash and car with a junkers title that most states won't allow on the roads anymore. Check into your current state laws and see what the insurance company is going to do. Getting some money doesn't always mean you'll make out in the end.
  18. Tony, that was a fantastic read. Thank you.
  19. From the back of the board it looks like there's a lot of cold solder joints and a whole lot of flux all over. A good clean up and re-flowing some joints might help too.
  20. Also, here's a quote from the troubleshooting section of http://www.megamanual.com The point to that quote is to show what noise in the circuit can do.
  21. 4mp is great. I'll have to look a little more closely at it when I've had a bit more rest, however you need D19. It is important to the circuit because it controls voltage spikes on the 5v. Might not seem important to the injectors, but it is important to the system as a whole. You'd be surprised what kind of havoc an unclean 5v reference can cause on an MS unit.
  22. That is weird because the msq says 8 Cylinders 8 Injectors...Oh well. Can we get some high def pics of the front and back of the board? If it is a possible hardware config problem I might be able to point it out from pics.
  23. Just at a glance the first thing I notice is you're set for 8 cylinders. You have a spark cut rev limiter set to 25,000 RPMs must be a well built L28... Fix the number of injectors and cylinders and you might be ok.
  24. Yeah, I've noticed. Unless you work for a hotel, fast food or gas station you don't live in Barstow. Oh don't forget the homeless. There's lots of them here too. I think they come in on the trains.
  25. How many squirts per cycle are you set for? Post up your data logs and configs so we can get a better idea of the problem. It sounds to me like the injectors are staying open too long.
