Hey Victor. How is life treating you? Heather and I are well. I'm not on Hybrid Z much as you can tell. The car is fine. I've been building rides for others for a few years. I've still got my Z, looking to put a turbo 5.3l in it this spring. I had a small block Chevy powering my RX-7, the one I had in Mass. Also built a nice Jeep for myself, and a new JK for Heather. My e-mail is rx7260z@yahoo.com my cell number is 724-407-3759 Take care. Keith

  5. I can understand your thinking in removing the crease, it does tend to give your ride the super smooth "Boydster" look, I'm leaving mine on to strech the car, but I'm also ditching my rain gutter as I feel it is cluttering the area just behind the door. It will take a decent amount of body work to sharpen and perfect the line but I really feel it is worth it, as the car it self looks squat to me, I feel the lines would look pretty good if you had a nose extension (G-Nose) or headlight covers . but again this is just my thoughts it your ride, make it pleasing to your eye. Keith
  6. I hit the site but it is full of dead links. does he still post on here? Maybe under a new name, If not I'm gonna have to spend more $$ at the machine shop. I would prefer to buy what I need from him. Keith
  7. Well that was more info than I needed, but I guess it will have to do. Thanks. Keith
  8. Anybody have the contact info for an old member that went by SCCA Mike? He had a web site for brake parts, I think it was Fonebooth.com. Any why I need some advice for some old parts of his. Please Help!! Keith
  9. I've been doing some searching on this, I would like to see the finished result, but I cant find the pics are they still here? could they please be reposted? Keith
  10. I got mine from http://www.Grannysspeedshop.com I bought the basic kit for the 2nd gen cars. I had my driveshaft made local, and I found that a 85 monte carlo 4.3L a/c rad works and fits pretty good. http://www.torquecentral.com has a v-8 rx-7 subfourum they have a BUNCH of good info there. The headers that I used are for swapping a chevy v-8 into a wrangler I think, (it is in the instructions) I retained the mazda alt, they sell a nice bracket for this. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rx7260z/album?.dir=066f&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rx7260z/album?.dir=172f&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos the first is the pics of my hood scoop the 2nd are the install pics of the motor and how I mounted the rad, some cutting is involved, but it is not that bad at all. Keith
  11. I put a 350 in mine for about the cost of a 13B rebuild, I did it with hand tools, and a floorjack. I'll pm you the place I got my conversion kit if you want me to. Keith
  12. OK I put a MS on my Jeep as a test unit for my Z. I would like to let the MS control the spark, but I've been having a lot of trouble with it. So I put a GM HEI and a MSD 6A in and I got it kinda tuned. I'm now ready to tune it past the Idle portion, I've now run into a block, I went to hook up the Vac. Advance, and I discovered that the Jeep intake and TB has no provisions for ported vac. I've been thinking that if I bore a hole just above the TB's blades and thread a nipple into it that would work, is there anything else I need to think about? Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. Keith
  13. I was meaning internal parts I burned up my internal drive motor, and I needed a new wire sleeve thay had the stuff in stock cheap and shipped fast Keith
  14. I have that welder I really like it I bought it about 5 years ago, parts for it can be found at daytona mig, you will have to search for the site. Keith
  15. It would depend on the use of the engine. I have a 4.6L stroker in my rockcrawler (1990 YJ) I used the heavyweight crank to help with some stalling issues. When I would be crawiling a big boulder I would use the extra mass to help ease me over the edge. Now in my wife off road Jeep (1997 ZJ/Grand) well she pefers MUD, where wheel speed is king, her stroker got the light weight crank so she could mash it off the line and get her wheel speed up ASAP. Her's is also an automatic, mine is a 5 speed. Keith
  16. ok I have some new/relevent info to add. When the dizzy is in the block, I do get some RPM on the MT. the highest I saw was 175RPM is there a way to lower the threshold as to when power is sent to the pump/coil. or do I need to make the starter spin faster? Keith
  17. I decided to MS-II my Jeep. I got 99% of the wiring in and buttoned up real nice. Last night the wife asked me how it was going. I turned the key over and after about 45 sec of cranking it fired and idled pretty good. She was impressed, I was happy all was good with the world!! I tried to start it today to work on the tuning, and nothing, so I hook it up to the laptop, and I'm seeing 0 RPM on MegaTune. I dont move ANY wiring pull the dizzy from the block and spin it with my fingertips, and it reads a good signal, the coil gets power, the fuel pump kicks in, I put it back in the block, No RPM. I thought some thing inside might be grounded, I pull the cap and rotor, no such luck. I did convert the dizzy to a 7 pin HEI. It is allmost like the starter cant spin it fast enough, I have the batt. FULLY charged and I cant believe that my two fingers are spinning it that much faster than the starter is. This is starting to drive me nuts, I'm about this far from getting a EDIS 6 set up for this thing!!. Keith
  18. I would go the primer, black, clear route. put down a bunch of clear. Wet sand the primer to 800 grit sand the color to 800 grit, spay 3-4 coats of clear, sant it to 2000 grit, and polish it with a good polishing system. I think the pait will take and hold a good shine, my only concern is for how long. It has been a LONG time since I worked in laquer and I'm not sure how hard the paint is when fully dry. Keith
  19. What color are you looking for?? If you clear the flat black, you will end up with gloss. Keith
  20. I had one on my Hybrid rx-7 I liked it not to loud, It held up to the heat of a boosted rotory VERY well, Sounded pretty cool once I swapped in the 350 Chev. Keith
  21. Nevermind, I got it figured out. Boy I can be simple sometimes!! Keith
