i just want to make sure that i have read this right (over and over again) that this should be able to match up a new 6 speed from a 350 on to my l28? if so, does anyone know if there is a sizeable difference between the old 5 speed and the new one to the point that i would have to do tunnel modifications. i am going to be replaceing the floors in a few weeks and adding sub frame connectors so now would be the time to do it. thanks jimbo

good call. several years ago my car was broken into and took my girlfriends wallet out of the glove box. she had thrown the stuff in there the night before and we forgot about it when we got home. we knew that the had broken into the cars in the morning and cleaned everything out of the durango and the mercedes ml55 that we had. (retards left the lap top and a huge bottle of $150.00 tequilla in the back of the durango). one of herecards had a credit limit of 30k. we had actually bought the durango on the card because of the lower rates than the dealership was giving us. to this day, the police have done nothing to the case, even thought they have video tape of them using the cards at the registers at home depot, target, walmart, and others. i do not want to have to go through that again. i still have the fraud alert on all of our cards. jim

wow. i was ready to order one just like that. i guess i will wait to see what the outcome is. maybe comp cams or other can do it without all of the questionable customer service. i am still tyring to figure out the exact specs for the custom grind for my application. jim

i am over at southern and val vista. my car is in the garage right now down to nothing. trying to get it on to a rotisserie so that i can replace floors and a frame rail. add subframe connectors while i am at it. i drive by daves house to and from work every day. it is easy for me to stop by and see what new things are in the works. i have a shed that is getting full of parts to put the thing back together. waiting for dave new suspension so that i have all of the parts for the road race assembly. pm me later jimbo

i am getting ready to do the same thing. i am going to mock up my flairs to cliftons silver car to get the back space right for a set of ccw 17" x 10" in front and 11" in the rear with the azcar suspension and 5 lug brake conversion. should look mean as hell. jim

i was getting ready to go to my steel fabricator guy to try to make one. i really like your set up better than the other one that was just bought on ebay. that one was floating around here and looked like a bundled up mess. in theory it should work. i needed to have a knee brace on my header because i am using a gt40 turbo and i weights 31 lbs. equal tubes will greatly lessen lag in a turbo that big. good call. jim

lunar240z, i am a self taught cadsman, since autocad R14. there are a few books out there that are helpful and some that are war and peace for autocad. you might try a jr college to find some small autocad books or autocad for dummies. i have looked through it a few times and will get you started. i just started playing with the program and made a ton of mistakes. i am curently a structural engineer and recieve many calls from architects and designers on how to do things in cad. if you run into a problem, pm me and i will walk you through it. you can always undo!! jim

good job man. the price of the dirt out hear in the phoenix area would set you back close to a million, let alone have a house on it. i guess im aout of touch with the rest of the country's home prices. all i do all day is sit and pund on the keyboard designing and engineering multi million dollar homes for people. meanwhile trying to afford to live here:( . jim

there is a place out here in mesa, fighter combat international, that you can fly air combat missions in a german acrobatic airplan. the f/18 is rated a around +/-9g roll rates and this thing is +/- 13 g's. i got to go up in one with one of my clients and kick the crap out of him. you get to fly the missions with the ex navy pilots in the back seat. really cool. 500 mph closer rates:mrgreen: . after you fly the missions, you can go and tool around. we did a bunch of acrobatics, hammerheads, tail slides, ect before elvis left the building:icon45: . to much fun though. i have a bunch of respect to those guys up there. i was wipped from all of the high g manuvers and i did not have to deal with pushing buttons or flipping switches to keep my self from getting killed. too much fun jim:)

i was thinking of using a few generators at the top of the hatch and then use a small whale tail or wing to put on the back. i dont think a bre style spoiler will produce as much downforce as a properly installed wing or tail.

i just weighed my gt40 that i got from dave. 31 lbs on the bathroom scale. he lives not to far from me so it is like a little kid in a candy store when i go over there. jim

i have only been able to get a hold of him through his email. all i ever got was his voice mail. i wanted to get some but all he would sell for the 240z was 14 & 15" rewinds. i am looking else where for 17x9.5's
