    WAAAAA!

Yep I do have aftermarket springs... maybe it's time to go to coilovers .... NOOOOOOOO NOOOOOO !!!! Not, well now that it's apart... I'll probably end up putting my 377 in it by the time I'm done!

    WAAAAA!

I thought the 280 struts are a different size? Means I'd have to replace my springs.. shocks... they wouldn't interchange would they? I may have to go measure everything and see.
  3. I have heard alot of people say use good shoes in the rear... (good pads are easy to find!). Who makes good shoes and where can I get them? Thanks!!
  4. Davy would you mind sending me the info on the mounting bracket too? Thanks!!!!
  5. If you are anywhere near the boarder with IL, let me know and you can see what I'm doing!
  6. Geeeeezzzzz even my profile was screwed up! This should work! http://www.geocities.com/demidion/Joe_280Z.html Hmmm yep looks right this time!
  7. Hopefully they will let more people look at them now! I also added another page with my 240 on it!! See the last pic on the page for the next URL. Someday maybe I'll build a REAL page.... but the Z comes first!!!!
  8. Ahh geocity only allows a certain amount of data to be downloaded per hour..... I'll make the pics smaller.... that will help!
  9. Hmmm where did that come from I cut and pasted it??? Oh yea it's a Monday!
  10. I just setup a site with my 280Z project on it! I'm gonna finish it this summer... uh huh... really... I lie real good to myself... maybe if I just keep telling myself I'll actually believe it! http://www.geocities.com/demidion/ Joe_280Z.html Although everytime I think about how much work I have to do I go back in the living room and lay back down on the couch!
  11. I would also recommend... depending on your money situation.. go with a lightened flywheel. IMHO it is alot of fun. It makes the car a bit more of a pain to drive... but once you get used to it! A great change!
  12. Good idea! My neighbor has a machine shop he should be able to cut them down easily! Thanks! I wouldn't have thought of that!
  13. That's exactly what I am going to do too! I would love to see pictures of how you set it up!
  14. For myself it comes down to reliablity, driveabilty and where can I go from here. For me the SBC 377 I am putting in will give me about 450 HP and be very driveable and reliable. If (when!) I need to bump up the HP, I know I can do it with what I already have and minimal additional expense. IMHO I wouldn't think you would get 500hp out of a 4 cyl reliably or end up with a very streetable car. But that is what I would consider reliable and streetable! I am sure some would feel differently!! But I like that I can take the SBC a long way before it gets to be too much of a PITA.
  15. No link yet.... I am somewhat documenting the damage I am doing to my 280! I am just starting to think about where I will get a site hosted. I am going to try to put something up soon so everyone can laugh at my welding! Thanks for the info!!
  16. Oh yea look at the bolt pattern Yep they match! Hmmm looks like the pictures in the writeup. Must be a T-56! Now all I need to do is figure out which one of the connectors on the other side is the speedo connection!
  17. Very cool! Thanks for the pic, that makes it easy!!
  18. I just took delivery of my T-56 I bought on e-bay. Since I don't trust anything I buy through it I wanted to make sure I have what I think I do. It should be a 93 Camaro T-56. Is there any way I can positively id it? Thanks!
  19. Unfortunetly I don't remember my spring rates. I am cheap though so I tend to use stock springs and cut a coil and a half which gets the spring rate right where I like it. If you have the money get a coilover kit with a few pounds heavier spring and you should be fine. There are a few people on the list that sell them, I am certain if you give them a call they would set you up with exactly what you need!
  20. Hehehe that's almost like asking which religion's right! I am much different than most in that I prefer light springs and really big adj. sway bars. I find that combo to be very drivable on the street and lots of fun for autocrossing too!
  21. I guess I don't really get it... why go through all of that work for less than 300 hp? One reason I am going with an SBC 377 is because I modifed an L6 out of being really driveable on the street. I just couldn't get the HP out of it and keep it something I would consider reliable. IMHO the SBC is the most cost efficient way to get a reliable engine and have a very driveable car with tons of power with lots and lots of room to add more HP. With aluminum heads, water pump, etc etc... the weight issue is pretty much eliminated and I am going with a small dist so I'll be set very far back for the best weight distribution. Maybe I just don't know what the benefits are of using it?
  22. Check out Pete's page: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pparaska/drivelinemods.htm He's got what seems like the strongest / best solution IMHO. I've already got the baracket made, just waiting for the mount to come in!
  23. For me it's mostly about having a bleeder valve and not having to drill and tap it. You mentioned using a push type slave... I thought the T-56 was a pull type slave????
  24. Ahhh, ok so it's a push slave .... then it's mounted the other direction from normal ehh? My T-56 should be delievered by Friday so I'll be able to see it. Thanks Lone! Owen, are you interested in getting rid of that slave? What size MC did you use?
  25. I've got a 94 T-56 and wanted to find out if I can use the Wilwood slave cyl. Everything I have read so far about the stock one makes me want to stay very far away from it! The Wilwood is a pull type with a bleeder valve. Has anyone tried it?? Think it will work???? Thanks!!
