Know anyone looking to purchase a brand new set of Weld Wheels with M/T ET Dragradials 275/60/15 mounted and balanced? Also a used set of slicks, I think they are 28x9X15. Still have a lot of wear left, just not working for us. Contact my brother Jerry (PM). We can bring them to SEZ if anyone wants to buy them. Z-Gad, these will not help you. You will need slicks..... Trust me... John -

Here you go..... Check Out our new Fire Jacket with the HybridZ logo. -
We went down the return road at the strip to warm up the car, Jerry hit it a couple of times and nothing, like spinning in water, smoke every where. Lined up, did awsome sideways burnout, smoke every where, lined up took off and blew the tires off the ground, let out of it and back into it. Too much power for them. Reverted back to the slicks and noticed 60 ft. was off bad, slicks not holding. I guess it is that time to purchase more slicks before we head out to SEZ. Updated website www.jnjdragracing.com. Link to movie of us testing the ET Drag radials is http://www.jnjdragracing.com/etdragradials.mpg. Also posted photos in same section of the ET Drag Radials on the car. Also showing off new Fire Jacket, with the HybridZ patch proudley displayed on it. Here are some photo's.

Okay, we will see you March 2007 then. Oh the blower has no problem getting into the 8's, it is just the car. If we had this setup in our old Z-car (Steve's) before he sold it, I would say probably mid-8's for sure. Plus I would like to switch to fuel injection hood and run Alcohol which means I can go to about 40% over driven, currently I am running only 2% over driven. Problem is the present Z-car can't take much more.......Its a date then, enjoy your hunting expedition. John -
Small Block Chevy motor question.

I think it was in late 90's like 97. Please don't hold me to that, my 1997 chevy 350 in my surburban had a factory hydraulic roller cam and lifters. John -

Hey Dr_Hunt I will be counting on you to come back and play some more. I think you are really going to miss out on a good SEZ#7 this year. I think we will have a lot of fast cars this year including Scottie. John -
Hey Z-Gad, we will be bringing our new dragradials along with our slicks. You can try the slicks to see if they help you, I am sure they will hold verses the drag radials. I would probably opt to spaying it with NOS to spool you up verses the 5000 convertor, this way it still be streetable, just push the button when you need boost quick. John

Yes it is going to be fun, that's what it is all about. Yall have to come and enjoy the fun, see all the zcars and others, meet and greet the great people that come to this event and yes play with the cars, put them to the test and see what happens. Like I say you can't go through Life Scared. The guy's here are just talking smack, some ragging, but please do not take anything personal. Really the only reason I posted this is to let everyone on this site know about the match race that I and Rip talked about and that we planned on doing this race at SEZ and putting on a good show in hopes more people will come out to SEZ and support it, the cars and the people and Staff who organize this great event. I also would like to take this time to thank Scottie-GNZ, and WigenOut-S30 for inviting and telling us about HybridZ. I was on Zcar.com and they were really down on us. Scottie-GNZ and WigenOut-S30 said to come to this site, I am glad we did. John "quote=gearheadstik]Rip told you wrong..its a r200..he's new to the zcar world...and for Dr. Hunt you should'nt have any probs waxin us in the 1/8 should you??? The closest 1/4 mile track is three hours away or so..this is a pretty small town, if we had a 1/4 mile track around we might be game but this car has only been down the track a dozen times or so...we are not disrespectful or dumb either...we know jnj comes alive at half track....it's goin to be fun if we make it to the meet... -

Hey we have only made I think about eight1/4 mile passes. Most of our local tracks are 1/8th mile too. Your right about our car it does pull harder on topend, like a turbo car the supercharger likes the 1/4 mile. I really do hope you guys are able to come. Jerry -
I don't know about that, we have a friend who has a turbo in a mustang and he is flying, low 8's in the 1/4 on drag radials. I have found new respect for turbo's after last time at SEZ seeing you run and Thumper. Turbos are where it is at. Jerry my brother is planning on doing a turbo car. Good luck with the tuning tonight, please let us know the outcome. John

I agree with you too, I like the zebra car. I am glad you found the problem. I hope you do get it going with the NOS, it would be interesting to see it fly down the strip on the juice. See ya at SEZ#7. John -

When I talked to Rip he told me he had a 468 sbc, but he told my brother a 383 sbc (Hmmmm) He told me it had a R180 with 300zxt cv axles, (Hmmmm) very interesting (German accent) I stopped by Fulton competion and talked with Gene, ( Hmmmm ) All is fair in Love ,War and Drag racing. Look forward to meeting you guys, I am having a blast already. Your right about surprising all out drag cars, I done that too when we had the 400sbc with the everthing under the hood. Zee Ya soon! Jerry -
I said it before YOU DA MAN!!!!!, and my HERO! Best of luck tonight and keep it between the cones. You might need to think about a parachute. I can't wait to hear the results! The pictures looked Great. Jerry

Scottie, where did you get the fender flares that you used on your black Z, I just put a set of 275/60/15 M/T drag radials they don't stick out to bad. It looks like how some of the mustangs with the 325/50/15 tires sits. The flares I think would look better. P.S I like the quarter too. I might need ZGad to bail me out in Sept. Jerry -

I would just think safety, helmet, rollbar, certified seat belt, stuff like that, plus we can tell them it is a 1/8 mile race so the speeds will not be that high like 1/4 mile. I would not worry, but remember bring a fire jacket. John -

I talked with Rip today and told him what the Tech guys told us. Fire Jacket ,battery box, if mounted in back of car and a ground strap on the fuel cell, and of course rollbar. and a driveshaft safety loop. Please send us some pictures of that BEAST, Rip said he would send me some. A video would be nice too. If you are Rip have any question give me a call, Rip has my cell phone number. Jerry:cool:
