  1. HELL YEAH!!! BOUT DAMN TIME!!!! Might be old news but I wanted to share. Seems like they put all the B.S. behind them. All members returning except Michael Anthony wonder why maybe because he is buds with Sammy? Diamond Dave mentions that it is a new band and not a reunion. Let's see what happens. First concert in NC in Sept. One addition is Wolfgang Halen, Eddie's son. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070814/ap_en_mu/van_halen_tour_5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G8MLutk7ZY
  2. Mark where are you located? No location in sig.

  7. Where the rear crossmember bolts inside the cabin. Lift carpet behind front seats this is a big one. Oh and Toe-boards, inner fender-well, trapazoid, lower radiator support.
  8. talked to Ross from SDS got my answers.
  9. In my quest to find an EMS to control fuel, ignition on my 1979 Datsun 810 L28E w/ Extrudabody ITB's for the heck of it I checked Ebay. Here is what I found: Haltech E6: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HALTECH-E6-ENGINE-MANAGEMENT-SYSTEM_W0QQitemZ230156322119QQihZ013QQcategoryZ33596QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem SDS EM4E: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180143285413 The Haltch was apparently installed once and the SDS is brand new. Is it worth my time to get something to try and save some money? Or in the end will it end up costing me more? I know the old saying you get what you pay for, or am I barking up the wrong tree? Any suggestions on an EMS for my setup? In my other thread in the non-tech forum some suggested Wolf but that is $2K. I don't know if I am hoping to find something to do the bare minimal, ease of installation and not really brake the bank. I am a novice to EMS installation so something where I don't need to get a degree to install is a plus! Thanks,
  10. Austin, So what made you stay Nissan over LSX? Good choice man.
  11. Thanks for all the comments. More pics will come.
  12. Extrudabody ITB's for the 810.. All I can say so far is Kevin is a great guy that goes above and beyond customer satisfaction which is rare these days. He has been in constant contact with me on a daily basis even on Sunday evening since placing the order last Friday. They will be shipping out on Wednesday (tomorrow). These are the pictures of MY ITB's that Kevin assembled and did some additional machining for me. If you are in the market for ITB I would highly recommend Extrudabody LLC. As soon as I get them and they are installed I will report back. Here is the link: http://www.extrudabody.biz/servlet/the-89/6-dsh-ITB-dsh-KIT-dsh-45mm/Detail Now I am trying to decide on what EMS to go with? Any ideas? The specs are L28E, Isky Cam, keeping her N/A for now..
  13. Kevin, Any takers from this site yet? I would like to see some more pics, videos and feedback from satisfied customers so post away. I am thinking this might be the way to go with the 810.
  14. ______________________________ Check out the Movies section for more videos. Also the Works section as it shows good pics of the OS Giken TC24-B1 build. Also his other amazing cars. http://www.tomitaku.com/index.html thanks to daddsun for finding youtube video.
  15. I stand corrected. Take it from a man that has had his L24E out and apart. Thanks for the correction Steve you got a PM.
  16. Mike, I was going to buy a John Deere from one of the box stores (Home Depot, Lowes) and started doing some research. I found out that they are NOT the same John Deere's that you would buy at a John Deere dealer. I read that they cut corners like the bearings which are plastic. Also Home Depot/Lowes’s farms the service out to the local John Deere dealerships and you know they take care of there cliental first. Here is what I bought from my local dealer: http://www.deere.com/en_US/ProductCatalog/HO/servlet/com.deere.u90785.cce.productcatalog.view.servlets.ProdCatProduct?pNbr=SKU21899&tM=HO&link=enav
  17. Too bad he is in Oregon, shipping to Maryland would be crazy. Although I would like to get a quote as I yell "BRAAP WHERE ARE YOU!!"
  18. I would have to say it will have a definite external visual inspection. By sleeper we mean to have something nasty under the hood with a classic hybrid hot rod look from the outside. IMHO the 810 is not that well known although it has an L24E in it, which is really a 240Z/280ZX on a hardtop body. I just want people to look at it and say "Wow! Look at that thing, all blacked out, lowered with this huge exhaust. WHAT IS IT?" When the die hard V-8 guys say “Look at that Ricer POS,†and the GF cracks into it so at the next light as they are picking their jaws up off the floor, we can look over and smile. Sleeper is one thing but we are building it for our enjoyment and others surprise. I would have to disagree with a Honda motor, only because my first choice would be to use something from the Nissan/Infiniti family. Then once those are exhausted, go to something proven such as a Toyota or GM power plant of course not knocking Honda or the others. Funny you mentioned a Mazda Rotary. My buddy just bought a 1985 GSL-SE w/ 80K original 13B. He owned the similar car 10 years ago and bought from Mazda a brand new 13B. To this day it is still bagged up and he never put in his SA but sold it instead. This could be another possibility. I don’t think I would want to “rice†the 810 out in any aspects. Sleeper is one thing, ricing it out is a totally different bag of Uncle Ben’s. My definition and your definition of a sleeper have two different meanings. I still want mine to look cool, albeit with the Type R badge it would look even cooler. I would rather have people comment “Wow, whatever it is, it looks cool and shits and gets too.†I guess I could take it to the rice route and put some Pep Boys 14†spinners, Type R badge, “cold air†intake and a set of General tires. Not to mention loading the underside up with neon and capping it off with a F40 wing. Chances of this happening were better 18 years ago, today highly unlikely. lolol
