  1. I took some pictures of the first and only 240Z that the shop did. From what the current owner of Tempest Joe told me (this was built by another person that no longer works there before his time) the Z was brought to Tempest with a built 3.0 liter and Tempest did everything from making both manifolds, complete fuel system, cage, p/w, p/l, anything you name they did. Since I already have a Thagard intake manifold, Tempest will make my exhaust manifold, i/c, and TEC 3 install. I will have all the gauges and fuel system ready. I just returned my cylinder head to the machine shop after I ported and polished it. I should hear something back in a few weeks after the machine work is completed Ferrera Valves, Clevitte Bearings, and Wisco Pistons have been ordered Here are some pictures that I took of the 240Z that they are currently working on. The pictures aren't the greatest as I took them with my phone but you get the idea: Maybe the owner will come out of the wood work, I would like to hear more specs on the setup. DAMN U IMAGESTATION!!!
  2. Garrett, I'm right behind you. I am hoping to get the same h/p results. I will be finishing up fine polishing the exhaust runners on my P90 today then back to the machine shop it goes. Here is my current build-up: 2,8 liter F54 Wisco Forged Pistons -Race Prep Rods -Balanced Rotating Assembly -Port and Polished P90 -Isky Custom Ground Cam -Ferrara Valves -TEC 3 -Thagard Intake w/ Q45 modified T/B -Billet Fuel Rail -550cc NISMO Injectors -Tempest Racing Custom Stainless Exhaust Manifold -SC61 Turbo -24x8x3 I/C - 3" T/B side 2.5" Turbo side I/C piping
  3. Correct, however since Charlie only takes a check through mail (longer process) and if you need the pans right away MSA usually has them in stock and you'll have them in a week. It's comes down to how fast you need them.
  4. After a few weekends the combustion chambers are finally done. Now onto the intake and exhaust manifold side of the head. Here is the P90 at the machine shop before going in for disassembly and bead blasting: After returning home from the machine shop: Before: After: All but one done: Not bad for my first time....
  5. Call http://iskycams.com/ and ask for Ron. He is a super nice guy, tell him your setup and he'll help you out. I was very pleased with Isky all around..
  6. Yea, there shop car is over 700HP. I asked Joe if I can run one of his stickers on my Z and he said if we don't get 500HP no. If you see a car with a Tempest Racing sticker on it, expect at least 500RWHP, we don't give them out or sell them to just anyone he said.
  7. I'm getting mine purchased and installed for $3500 here http://www.tempestracing.com ask for Joe he is listed on Electromotive site as a dealer/installer, I think it's a fair price. He is doing a 3.0 liter 280Z with custom intake/exhuast manifold, fuel cell, cage, everything you can think of. The best part is when it leaves I heard it's getting $30K of paint/body, and interior done. Oh I forgot to mention the floors and rockers are gone. Horsepower goals are 600, if the floors aren't done its going to tear that poor 280 in two. I can't wait to see it done, nice to have a big budget....
  8. Try this: http://www.vikingds.com/zcarguy/ scroll down to the file z_exhaust.wax save to desktop rename from .wax to .wav I heard it fire up and the idle was at a low tone.. Nice though.
  9. Yea my machinest agreed, Clevite it is and he can get them to. He has been very impressed with them. Thanks,
