  1. they definately dont bolt to rwd trannies...i tried that with my VE to s15 6speed. no dice. i'm getting a rwd short block, [coming soon 2.1 forged pistons/rods...1k] and the head will bolt to that. if you want to use the top half for all its worth , then you could just pick up a rwd short block they're on ebay every once in a while.
  2. big boost and little boost. most EBC's let you use two settings
  3. what if you wanted to run very little boost? say for a daily driver econo type situation.
  4. ahh thats right.. well then i did it on purpose to confuse him.... yeah...
  5. just sent him a message... "just thought you might want to know, that this product is mislabeled. it could save you from some possible trouble later on... 260z's and 280z's weren't made in 79-81, they were made in 75-78. the 280zx was made in 79-81." waiting for the reply...
  6. i saw a 7mgte in a picknpull last month...would have got it too... if aready didn't have an engine. i agree! lets see some progress pics !
  7. i'll take cold over heat any day of the week, of course it doesn't snow here...
  8. would fabricating a hall effect sensor work possibly? http://hometown.aol.de/kloske/seven/speedo.htm i guess. if i cant get a vr sensor to work..
  9. apparantly its actually the ABS sensor.
  10. DSM =diamond star motors, thats what people call mitsu eclipses, eagle talons, and plymouth lasers.
  11. i posted this over on freshalloy, in the q45 section, but when i saw what the other threads were [installing 22" wheels etc...] i figured i'd have a better chance of it getting answered over here on hybridZ i'm putting a 1991 q45 limited slip differential in my 240z, the tranny i'm using [s15 silvia 6 speed] doesn't have a speedo sensor, and i was told the q45 diff has the speedo sensor. i asked an autometer tech what i could do to use an autometer gauge with the type of sensor [VR sensor] thats in the q45 differential. this is his response to me "What type of signal does your sender produce? How many wires are on your sender? Let me know and I may be able to help further. Thank you. Cory Tech/Service" i neglected to pull the speedo wire off the Q when i got the diff at the picknpull , so if anyone can help out that would be great thanks
  12. i have a folder on my comp specifically for pics of your car, amazing. why doesn't EVERYONE have headlight covers!?
  13. didn't you sell your last motor because it was too powerful?
  14. find out why it wont work for the '20. the reason people told me that a SR20vet swap was impossible was because the intake manifold would point to the firewall....... so i'm going to make my own manifold. some times its dumb info like that, that people that have no fab skills, money to hire fabricators, or motivation to learn, pass on, and it gets accepted as fact.
  15. i feel ya... it seems like i'm not getting much done 'cause i'm doing everything at once, i feel i should have stuck to one section, completed that, and moved on to the next... i'm just impatient.
  16. am i missing something? not much of a website... [frowns]

  18. might be interested in the fpr. what size are the fittings?
  19. http://www.expresspaint.com/ it was $115 for a quart of oem color paint http://www.expresspaint.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idProduct=4297&idCategory=24#details look like a good deal? i wouldn't have to paint a hood or hatch since i want to do CF. just thinking ahead, and i keep hearing about how expensive paint is... is a quart enough?
