  1. That was only ~60% throttle. But yes, I need to be careful. We might need to change the wastegate actuator spring? I don't know.
  2. Changed spark plug gap from .030 to .025. Fixed fuel rail vacuum leak, changed timing from 20 degrees to 25 degrees. Car runs SO much smoother, i was getting into boost tonight after the changes pretty good and got zero backfires, stumbles or misfires.   3. wastegate for sure isn't working correctly, hit 13-14 psi without even trying.
  4. Well we had fun tonight. Finally figured out problem, I was using original +12 source wiring to feed injectors. Did quick rewire of source to 12volts going to megasquirt, made a few changes to the map and took it for a spin. Will do more fine tuning and checking things over this week, but not bad, big smiles.   5. Turned out the megasquirt processor "died". It won't even accept any sort of boot code. Hooked up to a scope and saw that the signal was making it to the processor, but nothing came back to the computer. Also blew the opti coupler.. I don't understand how it happened, there are fuses.. and diodes to act as failsafes in that case.. but they didn't do their job apparently. I am receiving a new unit tomorrow morning, overnighted from new york from another member. I swear to god, if I can't load my tune, plug that ***** in and drive off the exhaust parking lot with my brand new 3 inch exhaust, I will torch the car.

  8. Yeah so megasquirt decided to stop working. Megasquirt has been a nightmare from day one.
  9. My ugly ass car will be in attendance. Im going to fix some dents and patch a hole and paint it black with a rattle can soon.

  11. Figured out problem..a transistor was broken on megasquirt so it couldnt handle two banks. Got it to run on one bank and it sounded soooooo good.
  12. everythings wired... getting no fuel. dad forced injectors to open just to see if it would turn over... and oh my god it sounded so good for that two seconds.. he will have it fixed.
  13. thanks tony. for anyone who runs into this predicament, either get the correct fuel rail, or do what I did: Make adapters from aluminum stock and press fit them in with loctite.

  15. should be, if you want to upgrade, get a walbro 255 inline pump.
  16. My mom drives a titan with the VK56 in it... the amount of torque these things put out is ungodly. you are going to have a blast.

  18. and its in. Just bolted in.. nothing really connected. Tomorrow we will be hooking up the megasquirt to it. Need to tweak the throttle linkage just a bit. going well though.
  19. Took a wire brush to the engine bay... didnt do a 100% perfect job of derusting but got a LOT of rust out.. especially the battery tray. also painted it black
  20. Night one down. Radiator out, fan out, all electronics disconnected from engine.. fluids drained. All we gotta do is disconnect tranny mount, drive train and pull er out.

  22. Lol, so much negativity in this thread. I really hope I don't regret my L28ET. Dont think I will though.
