  1. My battery voltage dies as the idle goes down (while its going rich at the same time). I've tried adjusting the compensation down and it gets way worse.
  2. I have so much trouble with this darn thing. AFRs keep fluctuating from 12-16 or what have you. In the mornings when I first start it, it runs pig rich with no warmup acceleration but runs much better when warm. My idle AFRs just keep going up and down, taking my RPM with it. Cruising is ok. I've attached my tune and a log of it idling showing whats going on. Any help would be appreciated. I have all EGO corrections turned off. Is it possible that the Original BG code just doesn't work right? Datalog42512.txt
  3. Not much you can do. Bigger turbo, bigger injectors, FMIC and EMS.
  4. Baffled tank isn't necessary unless you plan on taking it to a track.
  5. Cannon you were right actually. I forgot i used the stock chts so the values were whack fixed and it runs great now.
  6. MSA Chrome Mirrors came in, look really nice installed and took about 5 minutes to install. I got beat by a SVT Cobra today on the highway. Now I must complete my intercooler setup and up the boost. Any suggestions on an eletric fan setup? There is a dual unit + shroud from MSA for 290.00, but I feel like that is way too expensive.
  7. I can understand why she likes the N/A. My l24 carb'd 240z is actually a lot of fun to drive. It almost makes me feel bad to pull a perfectly good engine out to drop my l28et in there.
  8. I pulled the values in easytherm from my megasquirt, they were not consistent with the GM settings.
  9. Its a lot of fun actually. This engine revs up so fast.. loud as hell too. I took a little video.
  10. Anyways, the problem had nothing to do with grounds or the like. I failed to calibrate MS for the GM CLT and IAT sensors. Works fine now.
  11. Well I picked up a 71 240z with dual SU carbs and a 4 speed tonight.. Also came with a F54 Block with balanced crack, bored .050 over with flat top pistons.
  12. For my l28et, cost me about 250 to get the block honed, cleaned and a 3 angle valve job and cleaning on head... New gaskets, rings etc cost another 350. To put it back together was easy. Edit: Forgot, I bought a new clutch, flywheel and pressure plate that ran me another few hundo.
  13. Not meaning to hijack your thread. If anyone is in texas.. I need a shell as well
  14. Good lucking car. I like the RB engines in Zs because there is just so much room and it looks really clean.
  15. Hey man, nice write up. Where did you score those btw? I bought a oil adapter off you once.. ugly ass Z I pulled up in.
  16. Still looking. Budget has been increased a little and im willing to travel up to 100 miles give or take
  17. I really don't think those numbers are possible "reliably". Only one way to find out though.
  18. Are you also using the coil igniter?
  19. Coil properly grounded? Could it be as simple as a bad coil? Is this a coil from a turbo or n/a?
  20. So I found my shell (I think)... Going to swap in my new suspension and bushings before I drop the motor in... picking it up this weekend.
  21. What are your goals with it? A Carb'd l28 can actually be pretty zippy with some slight upgrades.
