  1. You've made more progress than I have. I don't even have the engine yet.
  2. R31 pieces are hard to come by here, and I have no intention of putting an SR20 in my Z. It's getting a V-8. More on topic, has anyone considered a Z33 rear subframe?
  3. This is exactly what I was discussing with my engineering friend, who is the same person I'm getting my subframe from. When I get ahold of him again I'll post up the solution he came up with. And due to being easily excitable, I didn't notice that the S13 LCA's were wider until I tried to install them. Do you think it would be a good idea to grab an S13 front crossmember aswell?
  4. Nice. I still have to wait about another month before I can pick up mine.
  5. I have no doubts in your experience, I actually look at yours as an inspirational build for mine. And I fully intend to do the S13 swap. Just picked up some of the peices today to start mocking up the front. I should have a rear subframe in about a month. Once enough of work has been I'll do a build thread. I can't wait since I've had the car for 6 years and I'm just now doing anything with it.
  6. Two words: Friggin' awesome. I will have a build as nice as yours one day. (Just not any day soon).
  7. Alright! I'm not in a rush since I'm building my car in stages. I'll be saving for this so I can try to be one of the first with a VK56 in an older Z.
  8. You have no idea on how you just made my day. I'm planning to do the exact same to the rear of my ZX. I thank you now because you have shown that it'll be a little easier than I had anticipated. I will be following this closely.
  9. You're doing the same thing I am. Except I'm going with an S13 conversion front and rear, which I should be picking up some of the pieces tomorrow. I like where you're headed. Also because I have the exact same goal for my ZX.
  10. For some reason the widest they make in for 17's is a 265. For 275, you gotto go with an 18.
  11. How bad does it scrape? 5 in. is a pretty big lift.
  12. Will the kits be able to work with the S130?
  13. One thing I like about mine is that none of my freinds have no idea what it is. When I show it to them, they all like it.
  14. http://alexvillabrille.com/?p=218 He's SR240Z on here. This should be what you're looking at.
  15. This is full of awesome that I find myself envious of.
  16. I agree to that. My STI is a lot faster than my old WRX. Winter is gonna be fun for here. Be careful doing donuts in the snow, she may end up without powersteering.
  17. Nice to see an rb powered Z will be rolling around Cincy. I wanna see.
  18. Check www.vq240z.com for some good info. That would be 240hoke on here.
  19. I like the looks of the S130 as well, and a decent set of wheels make it look meaner. This just makes me want to go work on mine. Not going to post a pic of mine, mainly because it's buried in the garage as I decide how to build it. madkaw-Your daughter will love the subie. I love my STI.
  20. I likey. And this just yet another reason why I must visit Japan.
  21. I am interested in the same thing, but for my 280ZX. Little off topic, but why the change from the S13 to the S30?
  22. What about front fenders, doors, rear hatch, moonroof patches, etc?
  23. How's the development goning? I ask because when this becomes available, I will be interested in using a kit for my S130.
  24. I understand where he's coming from. I know an SBC block would be an easy way to get the power we're looking for, but like him, I would like to keep it in brand. Look at it this way, would you swap anything other than a Chevy engine into a Vette or Camaro?
