  1. D'oh! Whoops. Well, there was some good information in there on page two that might help. !M!
  2. Alan, I threw that question out there a while back before I ordered my coilovers, here is the post: What spring rates are you using? !M!
  3. John, I would slide the bumpstop onto the strut shaft and they would slide all the way down to the gland nut, so I attatched it to the hat. That way it won't bounce around on the shaft whenever you hit a bump. The bumpstop wasn't really impeeding shock shaft travel sitting on the gland nut. !M!
  4. That is way cool! Was the guy driving in reverse, using one hand to steer and the other to hold onto the backrest of the pass. seat while looking backwards? That thing must have been twitchy at those speeds in reverse. Does anyone remember the video posted here with the yellow 7 that had twin 'Busa engines controlled by twin Motecs, that was trying to set a word record of 0-60? He did it at like 2.87 seconds if I remember right, then one of the engines let loose. THAT was awsome! !M!
  5. This is cool. Only if I had some decent money to blow... http://www.fbodyextreme.com/membermedia/-=Fuel%20Slut=-/03cobravsE55.wmv !M!

Check out the rear wing, it's rough sawn beveled cedar siding. I put that stuff up on most all the houses we build . !M!
  7. Hey, get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about the truck! It's one of those "priceless" videos. For you guys that have Jeeps, you will get a kick out of this. http://7slotgrille.com/multimedia/hummervsxj.html !M!
  8. Haaaaaaa haaaaaaa! That was a good one !M!
  9. N/A=Naturaly Aspirated, no forced induction (turbo, supercharger) It's usually a LSD (Limited Slip Differential). Or somebody welded the spider gears in a open differential. It's usually a open differential. To learn more about how these differentials work and what's inside of them, go here: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm !M!
  10. RacerX, I showed him that car in a previous post, but noooo, he went and bought himself a V-8 !M!
  11. Mike, be carefull. Sawzall, heat, possible sparks, gas tank, FUMES... Kablamo! With old cars, you never know if there is a leak. !M!
  12. "The blower is fully functional via attached to intake and flaps are controlled by the throttle body. " Wait, what?! It's functional? I give him credit for the paint job, but that's it. I wonder how many people have tripped over that "cow catcher" front end. Maybe he could rent the car out to chock the wheels of a C-5 Galaxy. It's almost like trying to mix a Pro Street Ford Falcon with a Honda Insight, it just doesn't work. !M!
  13. Ah nuts, Jamie just posted the same thing while I was writing !M!
  14. Sparky, If you can, just drive the car up onto a couple of 2X4's under each wheel. I have the same problem with my car being so low with the coilovers. But, after driving onto the 2X4's, you have the Z an aditional 1.5"'s higher and can get a normal 3 ton jack under the diff. to jack it up. Mike, Remember to chock (put something in front and behind, like a 2X4 or a wedge of some kind) the front wheels after you jack the Z up and set it on jack stands. !M!
  15. Whoa, glad you're all right! I know what you mean about not feeling cuts. On job sites, somebody will see blood on the ground and start asking who's bleeding and everybody starts checking themselves, it's a pretty funny sight that I still get a kick out of Woman are like, "You never felt THAT (pointing at a huge gash)?" Come to think of it, I never hit an artery before, but I now have one from my right leg rerouted above my right collar bone and man, there is some pressure on that thing. I can just imagine the sprinkler you must have made . So, how did you stop it from bleeding? Did you just put your thumb over it? !M!
  16. Looks awsome! I love the electric blue colors, reminds me of the color I painted my old CRX. !M!
  17. Yup, that would be a LSD. So, how much did you get it for? And, are you sure the Z you got it from was a N/A? If so, maybe the PO changed it out for a LSD... !M!
  18. Mike, Weren't you having a problem getting the passenger side hub to sit right? Maybe since the hub isn't in place, the rotor is not centered in the caliper? !M!
  19. Here's some pictures: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25493 The picture of the open carrier is out of a '78 280Z. The clutch type carrier won't allow the other tire to turn in the opposite direction, unless the clutch's are completely shot. !M!
  20. I second the sleeper street car How many of those do you see around? Maybe one or two. Nobody knows what the heck it is, let alone what the heck it has in it !M!

I should have mentioned the torque also on the HD. With most all V-Twins, they are torquey, but this one just didn't have what I thought it would, I guess that's why I didn't mention it. !M!
  22. Well, you don't have to anymore since you have them torqed down now. I forgot that you got your inserts from Ross, I guess he put them in. Just read my above posts to see why. But, like I said you don't have to anymore . !M!
