Man I love the WRX with Blizzaks!
Yeah, Blizzaks rock!
Trying out the new Microbit Observes...
I despise Toyo street tires, but they hit a home run in the studdless snow game.
(Thanks for snapping the picts BRAAP!)

We've only got about 8-10" of average snow build up, but last nights weather brought us a nice little treat.... 1/2" of pure ice...
Check out the triangular slab to the left of my boot....

The air intake is under the emblems?
Nope, air exit.
Think of the vents as relief air.
Re-read Bartman's post.

Took the car for a little spin today.

Nice job Gabe!

I think you're actually getting into anti-Ackermann with those.
I think you're right. I've never checked the S30 to see how just how close to parallel steer they are, but we know they're *close*.

Very inspiring collection, Drax!

A clunky picture, but what the heck....

there. a cheaper, less complicated fix
Sorry, I'm not following. Those increase steering effort as much as they increase steering speed. It's not the answer to the question, so to speak.
Additionally, those serve to reduce Akerman, and in my experience/understanding, is not the best choice. All things being equal, I would prefer to lengthen the steering knuckles.

Whats wrong with the ol' rack setup? its not really a problem inless you steering under 10 mph IMO. If its is a problem at higher speeds than there is something wrong with your wheel/suspension setup.
With stock-ish suspension, power, and street tires, its probably not worth the hassle/weight/complexity. When you mount sticky rubber and start getting the chassis to actually work, you find that steering effort increases rapidly with increases in grip. Add in small/tight courses with a torquey V8 and you become very busy seesawing a very heavy wheel. Power assist can be nice

However I guess I said too much, but at least it's star wars based, god forbid that it was star trek.....No no no, forget I said that.
Your sig earned your user title...
If you can't find someone to play with, play with yourself.
This thread wasn't to p*ss off the admins, just a little fun.
Not even. With the exception of a small handful, all titles were/are given in fun

This is HybridZ. Alteration/modification is the cornerstone of this forum.
If originality is your salivation, you got off at the wrong bus stop.

Any of the Oregon people seen this car in person?
Yup. Mr. Wayland is the real deal. Very very savvy man and humble as can be.

How 'bout stepper motors on the front wheels... steer by wire, baby!

It truly amazes me when a real effort is made to provide useful and accountable data and all some people can do is argue their agenda.
The goal here was to provide a package weight as Nissan produced it. A fair starting point. A foundation. If your installation differs, then so might the weight. It is impossible to account for all variables. Why does that even need to be said?
Its up to the common sense of the owner to decide how valuable this information is or is not, per his application.
