  1. Here are some threads that have helped me understand fuel delivery: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100044&referrerid=14434 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104545&highlight=rising+rate+fuel+pressure+regulator
  2. People do use up to 370cc injectors with the stock ECU. They adjust the teeth on the AFM (I think thats it) and they also get a RRFPR to help the fuel pressure at full boost. Bastaad has a cardomain page with good info on his mods.
  3. calpoly-z . email me at jcloutie@calpoly.edu
  4. Why do you have to fab a new exhaust elbow?
  5. I think you may have gotten an older HY. The newer ones have the bend, and I think it will still work. Thats at least what I gathered from my research, so maybe someone else can back me up.
  6. I think the Angels will be just as good as last year. They are always a contender, but postseason play is rough with the Sox. I think it would be best for them if they get another team for the first round instead of the Sox.
  7. I always call it "The Z"... havent really found a name yet, but I will. My girlfriend thinks it looks like a frog... Other cars 97 Olds Aurora - The Boat 03 Nissan SE-R spec v - Sky (cuz its a mini skyline)
  8. Alright let's hear the predictions.. playoff contenders, world series contenders, champions, things you like, don't like, and your team. But lets keep it respectful. I'll start: I'm from Boston so I have been a hardcore Red Sox fan for YEARS! I think the Tigers have a very good team this year and should be the Sox's biggest challenge in the post-season. The Dodger's also look pretty good with Torre as their manager and some new players, just not so sure how consistent they will be. National League I think will be a very close race this year. I am ready for this to start. I got tickets for the Dodgers vs Sox spring training in LA (I go to Cal Poly for school) and most people know that this is a rare occurence of these teams playing, and travelling during spring training!
  9. Cal Poly might have it, but I've never heard of it. Doing a quick search on the site brings up some classes offered ETME- Eng Tech Mech Eng. But I'm not too sure if it's current. If you're looking for hands on, Cal Poly is pretty good if you make what you can of it. Some students use the facilities and are constantly working on projects, while others dont even know they exist. Pretty much every quarter I have had a lab or two, and have had large desiging projects, problem solving projects, welding, casting, machining... If you do come for Open House be sure to let me know and I'll be happy to show you the real town. (ANYONE else on this board too... if you're in SLO let me know)
  10. I was out of state student so I think I got accepted for the extra fees. A lot of people come into Cal Poly into a lesser major (ag eng, business...) and then switch into Engineering. If you can, come down for open house... I think its in April. Spend a few days and see the area. It is beautiful here! Pismo beach is 10 mins away, the town is great, weather is great.
  11. Cal Poly is both theoretical and practical. There are lots of labs that go along with classes to see things first hand. And yes, diff. eq. was 2nd year.
  12. 4th year ME student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Best school to do it, beautiful town, and DAM fine girls.
  13. I have been doing a lot of searching and studying to prepare what I want to buy according to my goals of my swap. I have found that the stock FPR is good, but if you are looking for more then tying in a Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator is the way to go. Bernard (I may have mis-spelled his name) had stock injectors and added a BEGI RRFPR to his fuel system and it helped the injectors from running lean under full boost. If you search for BEGI they have a website of how to find a real BEGI unit on ebay. Expensive, but very good. I hope someone else can confirm what I am saying, and I hope this will help you.
  14. My friends Dad had a 69 Vette back in the day with a 427 engine and a 302. He said the 302 was more fun to drive because the power actually got down to the road and it was high revving. It's always a great experience to be able to drive a nice car. My Dad bought a 72 Vette with a 454, and when he threw me the keys I was smiling ear to ear.
  15. I've got both. HDDVD player and Sony PS3. HDDVD's are still being made.. Both look and sound great! I can't watch regular satelite anymore.
  16. http://videos.hspn.com/index.php?videoid=1&catid=1 One Quarter Mile- One of the best videos out there I think, as far as music and video editing and all that. jmortensen took another one of mine. I really love the rocks hitting the camera, the bug splat, and the over head view of the 180degree turn on the cliff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wzH30uZy4Q Great autocross run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2sbLYnmpug The car I would buy if I become rich http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8t8kHWkRFo And pretty much any Kreissieg exhaust video. Especially the Countach
  17. Hey, You probably already know but the elbows on the 2006 (I think) and up Dodge's are 4" to 4".
  18. Belichek congratulated the coach with 1s left when the field was mobbed. Nothings wrong with leaving after that when the rules just state its not official until the last knee is taken. Pats were too confident and should NOT have tried that 4th down conversion instead of kicking the field goal. I knew game was lost when they did that. Stupid... Oh well... just a month for Red Sox season! Yea baby! NY going down!
  19. Patriots have been in a decline ever since they played the Eagles and Ravens. Patriots offense just didn't bring anything, especially Brady.
  20. HAHA. Can't call in sick. Its a part time job while I'm in school so I need the money. Happy Birthday Mopar
  21. Steve Dinan (BMW Tuner for those whose dont realize) is coming to my school to talk about performance tuning and building cars, and I have to WORK on my birthday!
  22. That is just like what I've been planning for my Z. Simple dash with a small angle facing up a little. But it would be on a street car so the gauges would be set up in front of the driver.
  23. Patriots are going 16-0 and playing the Colts in the playoffs! I wouldn't want it any other way!!! OH Ya,,..... CELTICS are good again!
  24. They look great. I am actually about to go put another coat on mine! I bought a 94 Volvo 850 turbo as a commuter car, and the silver stockers were dirty, scratched, and had brake dust caked on them. I sanded them down with 400 grit, primered them, painted, and cleared. Did you sand or anything? Make sure you clear coat them, it will help them last a lot longer.
