  1. Yeah, I've been looking into rear ends more and more and found that my solution is most likely going to be using z31 5 lug stub axles, short nose r200 and some custom axles, but hopefully I can just make a bolt on set from the junkyard. I'm only shooting for 400WHP on the vg33 setup, so a torsen LSD should hold up.
  2. Yeah, I just realized that myself Still looking for a decent light flywheel that isn't made by fidanza.
  3. Have you tried adjusting the start wheel and making sure the ebrake cables arent frozen?
  4. Alright, I'll just toss the sunroof back on for now, might also help with the 123 degree temps during the summer with no A/C.
  5. Alright, it started off as a noob question, but hopefully we can turn it into a giant info bomb for the vg33.
  6. Correct! It's hard convincing people who think otherwise.
  7. Update: I'm locking the hammer back for a vg33, then I'm gonna pull the trigger once my tax return comes.
  8. Anyone know which is harder? Your head or the halo bar attached to the roll cage?
  9. I wish I could sit here and tell you, that they will easily come out. But as one of the few draw backs to owning a z car, it is one piece. And a COMPLETE PITA to get out.
  10. Ahh, if its going to be this much work, I might as well just toss the sunroof back on.
  11. Not the motor itself, but like the suspension (assuming its not just lowering springs and new shocks) rear disc conversion kit..etc not really enough details to figure out exactly what has been done, but I'm pretty certain it's nothing special, except the price they want.
  12. I would bet, its just cheap off the shelf parts.
  13. The thing is, is I'm going to cut out and replace the roof skin in the near future anyway. What I was looking at doing is cutting a piece of sheet metal the size/shape of the hole, laying a piece of fiberglass on the inside of the roof, laying the sheet metal in it, then once that is solid, lay another piece ontop of that.
  14. Ask my sister, she ran one with half a quart of oil for a year, before she put it into a wall.
  15. No, we don't get computers or the internet.
  16. I wonder if she even has a clue about that car. either that or I'm smelling a scam.
  17. I wonder if he's making payments on his home depot credit card after building that.
  18. Lol, and I thought people asking $10k where crazy. LMAO, anyone notice the 4WD option he has listed?
  19. While I have the car apart, I was wondering if plugging the hole with sheet metal and fiber glassing it on both sides would seem as an acceptable way to deal with this, until I can find another roof skin. I'm also about to start stiffening the chassis (roll bar, new frame..etc) if it's going to make a difference.
  20. Well, it WAS going towards machine shop charges, now it's going into an a modded little L26, registration and insurance, so I can get it out of the garage.
  21. S130 t-top shades http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/pts/1580302038.html
  22. I was just looking at an early 80's diesel motor and 4 speed out of a 240d.
  23. I've got a decent l28, has a new headgasket, just need to put the timing cover back on and install the oil pump. $20 picked up in palm springs.
  24. Read the weather stripping alternatives thread in the interior section, before you go buying an aftermarket set. Also with the air dam, you don't need the stock valance.
