  1. If you call the company that makes them, you should be able to buy 6.
  2. How far back did you mount the motor?
  3. I'm liking the rear spoiler, but everything else kinda made me throw up.
  4. Woops, I thought you said notch the front of the crossmember. If i can find a cheap diesel mercedes, I might just do it, to drive the car around until I get another motor built.
  5. I would say the biggest gain from doing the swap, is losing all of the 70's EFI crap, gaining reliability, having a more consistent car and the ECU being able to make small corrections without freaking out and setting itself on fire.
  6. Whats wrong with using late z31T front hubs and rotors? or using some rotors with a deeper offset?
  7. What about sealing everything in the engine bay and opening up the sides of the front fenders?
  8. Alright.... Since I cannot find the money or the car at the moment, I bought a couple packs of sand paper and I'm starting to sand everything down and get it ready for a good 'ole fashioned sating black paint job, hopefully when my tax money comes in, I'll start looking for a donor car/motor.
  9. He would need a halo bar for that to be a concern, the back of his seat is well forward of the roll bar.
  10. Wouldn't that interfere with the radiator though?
  11. Anyone figure out how to make an early mercedes diesel motor, rear sump?
  12. I have a good n47 head, no cam, cam towers or rockers though, I'll sell you for $20+SH PM me.
  13. go forged if you have the money. (also the L31 stroker has been covered many times on this site)
  14. I run a mod'd holley 750 race carb on my built 355 which see's 8200 on a fairly frequent basis at the local auto-x and its just right, we have another built 355 thats running 11:1 and redlines at 6600 and the 650 is just a hair too small. I'm sure a 650 would be fine for a 5.3, if you get the tune down.
  15. I would say a 600, but I would like to hear some other opinions.
  16. All vg30e's are the same for the most part, usually just different intake/exhaust manifolds.
  17. older pathfinder/hardbody's z31's older maxima's..etc wikipedia is your friend for random info like that. You might as well toss the vg33 idea out, as their is quite a bit of work to get it in and running. You want and easy swap. Stick with the vg30, it's an easy engine and newer doesn't always mean better, especially when you already have a car ready for a vg.
  18. vg30et swap, search this site and google. I have no idea why you would consider swapping in a less capable engine with alot less displacement.
  19. Have you tried getting a fuel pump for an older truck with a BBC? I have never heard of a stock chevy fuel pump with the inlet and outlet being faced backwards.
  20. Need an adapter and all the hardware to go from a vh45 to a z32 5 speed. Let me know.
  21. you could strip the wiring harness from the ls1 donor car for the idiot light wiring and hook it up to the PCM, then make your own lights with the proper symbols, somewhere in the dash/center console. (Also, the smog nazi's have their way, so no smog for anything older then a 75)
