  1. I prefer the big photos. They may take a few seconds to load, but on this forum software they resize themselves. It's really convenient when you want to see the details in a photo.
  2. Go check out some of the tunes under the MegaSquirt forum and see if someone else's injector settings work for you.
  3. I felt like it was easier to set my accel settings with a TPS instead of MAPdot
  4. Yup, just wire it straight to the MegaSquirt
  5. Any 240SX TPS ought to be good enough for MegaSquirt. They were all variable so any one that you can find that is still functioning will be fine.
  6. What are you running as far as fuel lines? Is it possible that you have a fuel line blockage? Check your filters! Also, go get a fuel pressure gauge and put it on there. For a while, I was running 10psi with my car on STOCK injectors with MegaSquirt. edit: You definitely have something wrong.
  7. That's a relatively new engine, so I doubt you'll find anyone swapping them in to different cars. For the price, it seems like a very solid engine, though. I would be somewhat worried about fitment considering it is a quad cam V8, but it may be workable. Good luck!
  8. Wow, that is definitely a sloppily made kit. Thanks for the pictures.
  9. Thanks for your post about that Chester and Herod kit. Do you think you could attach some pictures of what you're working with for reference?
  10. http://www.lonewolfperformance.com/prices.htm scroll to the bottom, they make 11 and 14.
  11. You'll never get the factory system working with the bigger injectors - it will be way too rich. Just run the larger turbo on factory injectors. At low boost, you won't have any issues. Adding an intercooler would definitely be nice though. When you want to make some real power, go to an aftermarket EMS.
  12. That would be a pretty cool swap. You should do it! Be sure to document and include a lot of pictures if you decide to go ahead with it.
  13. I've copper coated every head gasket I've done. Only had trouble with the head gasket failing again on a Toyota 7M, but I don't think that was the copper coating's fault.
  14. What SUs do you have? Flat tops or round tops? You're going to need a lot of head work and a good cam to get to 200hp. That's a lot more than stock on an L26. If you can, you should at least start with an L28.
  15. Beautiful post, Miles. Exactly the type of information that I was hoping to get out of this thread!
  16. Hey guys, I'm currently looking to get a molded carpet kit to put in my Z, as I am currently running a totally naked interior. For those of you with molded carpet kits installed in your cars, would you mind posting some installed pictures? With your post, please include the following: 1. Brand (MSA, AutoTrimSupply, Datsun Restore, etc) 2. Difficulty of install 3. Installation pictures (if you've got any) 4. Final product once installed Here are some URLs to some of the carpet kits that I have found online: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SIC04C01 http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/details/QQNissanQQ240ZQQAutoCustomCarpetsQQCarpet_KitQQ1971QQ4512-71-82-01.html?apwcid=P1135867996W43b3f85c7ab9e&apwidTPxvMG7 http://www.datsunstore.com/index.php/cPath/1_19?osCsid=0b33fbb81f84b6a66b4d9d46728aa218 I think this could be a great resource for those of us looking to freshen up our interiors who don't know which carpet kit to buy. Thanks for your input.
  17. Easier and cheaper to just buy a Z31 turbo at this point. They aren't very expensive.
  18. My Z is in storage until April, so no pictures, but the evap line is on the opposite side of the engine bay from the factory feed and return lines, in roughly the same location. You don't need to run any new lines for it, just run a hose from your fuel rail to it.
  19. This a thousand times. I spent weeks trying to get my Z running, only to figure out the problem was that I was using the stock 240Z return line. I put a fuel pressure gauge in line and saw that immediately after turning on the fuel pump, the gauge would max out. Switched to the evap line and the car fired right up and ran just fine. Use the evap line or run a new return.
  20. I have a question,

Are you running spacers? I just bought some Rotas, but haven't mounted them yet and I want my car to sit like yours. I saw one one craigslist and it had spacers, and I couldn't figure out how with the 9.5 all around (this is why I ask)

  21. Sounds like a great idea. I want to get my Z professionally tuned but am waiting to install my new turbo (and get the exhaust redone - that's really what's making me hold off) and install my new cam.
  22. Hey, I am running 10" Hypercoils with my coilovers and running 17x9 and 17x9.5s with cut fenders and ZG flares. My fronts are 245/45/17 and rears are 275/40/17. The car is pretty slammed too. Hope that helps
  23. Yeah, no problem. Let me see if I can borrow a digital camera today and get a better picture too.
