There are a few things it could be. It sounds like you've already tried editing your VE table, but the ignition advance could also be off. However, I had a similar problem at one point and it turned out that one of the injectors that I was using was no good. So, you may want to test your injectors.

I have an aluminum dash in my car. It is in the attached file. Sorry I don't have a better picture - I'd take one but the car is in the shop being painted right now. (that's why the fender flares are off in the picture.) Anyways, it is "Dash With No Cut Out" from http://www.swracecar...pdf/CATpg25.PDF which myself and a buddy cut to the correct size and mounted to the stock dash board mounts using some bar stock.

You don't think it's possible that you damaged your coil by over charging it or over heating it due to having too high of a dwell setting? I don't think that it would necessarily have been saved from this by having a fuse inline with it.

All Z cars. I would drive my car, my old Z32, or any other Z on the market. Except for a convertible - those are terrible.

I think it's possible that you may have damaged your coil at the same time you damaged your old coil driver.

Try a different coil.

Hey, guys, I love the blacked out look on S30 Z cars. The car in my signature is currently in the paint shop being painted high gloss black. It is also having the side markers removed, drip rails removed, and side emblems being removed. Also, the tail lights and turn signals are being blacked out as well. I have a set of smoked head light covers which may be going on it as well, and the car already has glossy black wheels. I get the car back from the shop on the 1st, and will report back then with pictures.

I'm fairly certain that the Vortec V6's bolt in the same way as a Gen I or Gen II SBC. So, you should be able to use mounts designed for one of those on your V6.

I have seen the clips come off of the rockers before - that's probably what happened here. Put in new rockers and put in a new cam and run it. I'll bet that the rings are good - especially considering that you have ~150psi in 4 of the cylinders

I had a somewhat similar problem (from your description) and it turned out one of the bolts on my driveshaft was loose and whenever there was no load on it would make odd noises. Maybe check those?

I'm not really sure about a 280Z, but on a 240Z, the fuel return line is too small and if you use it with an L28ET it will create too much fuel pressure. Instead, you would use the fuel tank vent line on the other side of the engine bay. Again, I'm not sure if that's correct for your set up since you're using a 280Z.

Yes, but it could have run, but I think without the dropping resistors you risk burning up the ECU or the injectors.

Cool, glad to hear that you got the new one and it helped. Did it get to you in a timely enough manner? For the cat, you should just pull it out and punch it out and put it back in.

I think whatever design we go with (I like hoov100's submission ) should have an actual Z logo, preferably from an S30.

I like the logo at the top of the page: But it would be cool if we could get it without the S30 on it, just leaving the part that says Hybrid Z engineered to be feared.

There was this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122091 and I bumped it a couple of months ago, hoping to get some stickers, but nobody really seemed interested in producing them.

Will you be testing the LD28 pump? I've been considering giving one a shot myself because I have some issues with the car heating up when sitting in traffic on hot days during the summer. Can't wait to read about it.
