  1. Here, you can kind of see them under the covers.
  2. As stated, I need all of the vacuum fittings off of an intake manifold for as cheap as I can get, or a complete intake manifold, minus injectors, TB, and fuel rail of course. If you have this stuff and want get rid of it let me know, I can paypal immediately. Thanks!
  3. Hey guys, I just wanted to share an extremely positive experience I had with one of the of the Vendors / Administrators here. About two months ago, I ordered pretty much everything I would need to install coil overs on my 240Z from John at Beta Motorsports. Soon after, I got everything: new Illuminas, coil over sleeves, front camber plates, new Hypercoil springs, and upper spring perches for the back, or so I thought. Anyways, fast forward to two days ago, I just got my strut housings back from being sectioned and set up for my coil overs, and I was ready to rock and roll. Day one, I tore everything apart. Day two (yesterday), I started putting everything back together, and I got to putting the rear suspension back in, and I realize that I am missing the upper spring perches! I ripped through all of the boxes and saw no sign of them. So I give John a call and let him know that I'm missing these parts. At this time, I'm not asking for anything other than a local source where I can buy another set. He tells me to hang on a few minutes and he'll see what he can find as he is out of the upper spring perches. A short while passes, and he gives me a call back letting me know that he is having a set sent to me. Not only are they being sent to me, but they are being overnighted! Due to his excellent customer service, I got the upper perches this morning and finished up my coil over install this afternoon - just a little bit after I had intended to get it done! Lessons learned over the past couple of days: 1. Check boxes that you receive when you get them, even if you are not intending to use the parts immediately - this will keep a minor problem from turning into an emergency. 2. Beta Motorsports is AWESOME I really felt like I should share my experience with the community because it was the most outstanding customer service I've received from any business, hands down. Thank you, John / Beta Motorsports!
  4. Yes, I would like to pay $2,500 for a headache.
  5. Hey guys, here is a picture of my car with the Rotas:
  6. Did you try upping the VE tables or your accel settings to fix the lean condition?
  7. I have one I can sell you. It is on my car right now, replacing it with the Victory spoiler this weekend. It's in OK shape, some minor flaws that a body shop or your spare time could probably take care of. $100 shipped?
  8. My interior is totally stripped. No panels, no sound deadening, no heater, no nothing. All that's left are two Corbeaus and a metal dash board with some Autometers. It's my daily driver.

Didn't those cars perform like trash anyways? Seems like the Fiero swap could be a good option if all you want is a reliable Ferrari. I'd just dress it up some. I'm pretty sure the yearly maintenance on a 308 is nearly the value of the car if you are going to do everything "by the books."
  10. I took it to Elite Auto in La Mesa. They are a little slow but they do great work. I will be picking the car up tomorrow at 4:30 so I should be posting back in this thread tomorrow evening.
  11. Man, I was hoping that germ818 was going to tell me how to put a Ferrari flat 12 in my Z.
  12. Hey Aziza, do these interest you at all? http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/91349-powder-coated-black-motegi-traklite-20s-17x8-for-sale/ If so, make me an offer. I am down in Oceanside so you won't need to pay for shipping.
  13. Yes, I have done the reverse. To my knowledge, it is the actual mounting locations on the 73 240Z which moved forward, not the brackets on the bumpers themselves. Should be a very straightforward swap.
  14. I just got my set of Rotas in the mail from Kim yesterday, and took them to the paint shop where my car is being painted so that they can be matched to the car. I should have the car back next weekend and will snap a few pictures.
  15. Wow, that is some contract. I enlisted in to the Marine Corps in 2007 as an E1 (Private) -- wish I could've joined as an E3! How did you pull that off, anyways? edit: I didn't get a sign on bonus either! You are lucky
  16. I just did a transmission swap 2 weeks ago and I noticed that it smelled and burned some oil immediately after. It's because I put a greasy hand on the exhaust pipe. After it burned off, all was well. I'm sure all of the smells that you're getting will go away very soon.
  17. Cheapest solution: flush the coolant system. There is probably some junk in there which is making it not work as efficiently as it should. If that's too much work, turn the heater and run the fan at full blast.
  18. Hey Marines, just thought I'd chime in on this. I bought my Z when I was a private. It was completely stock. I'm a Corporal now and I've got pretty much everything I want done to it (after I get it back from being painted) and will be getting out within the next year. The Marine Corps is a great way to build a Z.
  19. Yep, kinda figured that. Pulling the trans right now and grabbing another one in about an hour. Maybe I'll pull this one apart later this week.
  20. Well, boys, I am borrowing my buddy's 240Z which has an L28 and a 280Z five speed transmission. I was getting on the freeway earlier and upshifting from fourth to fifth gear and the transmission made a quick popping noise and just stayed in gear. No amount of forcing or anything will take it out of gear. Is there anything I can try to get this thing working or am I looking at swapping the transmission this evening to get the thing to work in the morning?
  21. I was able to do this by using large washers with the bolts from the 280ZX throttle body that cover the "wings" on the TPS and hold it tight against the throttle body. It's been working well for over a year for me. I'd provide pictures but the car is getting painted right now so I don't have it on hand.
  22. Possibly a bad throwout bearing, or maybe you put it in backwards?
  23. I would really like one of these too! Especially if it were to have this flange: http://www.clubrsx.com/cr/VIB-T3DF-IW.html?utm_source=email&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=followup
