  1. Depends on the weight of your car, how stiff you want it to be, whether it's for street or track. I'm running stock L24 Z with 200lb/in on all 4 corners, the car understeers a bit, but I don't have a rear sway bar on (it's hanging up on the wall). The front rates will drop to about 175 because of the lighter rotary I'll be putting in
  2. I think that rear end is in good shape. I am sure it would be able to withstand a lot of abuse thrown at it. I think it's a viscous limited slip unit

    Which movie?

Yeah, nothing quite like Stallone getting his ass kicked by Carradine! it's worth it just for that, and of course, the hot naked 70s chicks.

    Which movie?

-'74 gone in 60 -ronin chase scenes -initial D (if anime counts, it's cool) -jackie chan's thunderbolt
  5. what would be the point of going through so much trouble just to make a fake? it would only ruin the shop's credibility in the future when people realize it's a fake
  6. all Z's came with stock front sway bars. 5/8" if memory servers. starting with 280z, rear sway bar (1/2" i think) was implemented stock
  7. 1. What makes the Mustang GT a better car than the Camaro SS? for late model years, nothing. for 2004, non-existance of camaro. 2. Which car has a better appearance? subjective to owner 3. Which car do you think is faster? depends on the year 4. When you were a kid what was the car that you always wanted? a datsun 5. If you had to buy one of these which one would it be and why? a datsun, cause I favor datsuns 6. Is there anything that you would change about the Camaro SS? Bring it back into production? 7. Is there anything that you would change about the Mustang GT? Live rear axle and supportive bucket seats 8. Are you a Chevy fan or a Ford fan? no, because brand loyalty is stupid 9. Which car do you think started the “muscle car†era and why? Neither, muscle car era was dying out when both entered the scene. It was officially over around '73-4 due to gas crisis. 10. What makes the Camaro SS a better car than the Mustang GT the LS1, the 275 size stock tires, the 320 rwhp, the 6 speed, the LS1 brakes
  8. at +46mm offset 15x7 wheels will sit so far in, you should be worried about rubbing tire on the springs! Flares won't matter at all
  9. personally, I'd replace teh front bearings if you have it apart anyway. They cost under 10/each for BCA japan-made units from partsamerica.com, and for under 50 bucks you can replace all 4 front ones and the grease seals. Rears are a different story, more of a PITA to put on/remove, and cost 25-30/each.
  10. Not really. Nail the throttle, and it'll whip the rear end around in a circle while the front stands still.
  11. in announcement forum you have everything from "hey, check out this picture I'm posting as a test!" to "hey, we're getting together a national hybridZ show in..." So it becomes pretty broad. For example, I completely ignored the Motorsports forum, because I don't visit it often enough. There's a 6 page thread there about a norcal hybridz BBQ and sac raceway meet. I forgot about it because it got pushed down and off the main page, until Z-Dreamer reminded me. If you look at all other forums out there, they all have regional subforums, because it's convenient. It groups people by locality, making it easier to communicate. ie. we have 2 zya's on the board, did you know that? One's in norcal with a 383 sbc, and the other is with a turbo 240z on the east coast.
  12. Bringing this back up to the top - it would be a REALLY REALLY good idea to have regional forums for group meets and events and such. Much easier than for example, searching through posts in Motorsports or Announcements to find out what's where. Plus, it would give local people a chance to communicate in masses with each other. Please see about making regional forums! it's now becoming a needed standard!
  13. Allison V12 out of a P51, that is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2414992976
  14. I don't see an option anywhere to disable the autonotify default check box. It's pissing me off that every time I post I have to uncheck a box (notify me when a reply is posted) so that my mailbox doesn't get spammed with hybridz.org mail saying someone replied to my message. I often forget, and next thing I know I have like 10 emails in my mailbox Thanks!
  15. 280zen, you're just pissed because he beat you to the punch
  16. sorry http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33740&item=2414591533
  17. "....my inexpensive process allows you to make your car LOOK drag ready, without the expense of real Nitrous Oxide." http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33740&item=2414591533 SEE!?!? They just don't stop! fake bov, fake bang bang system, fake intercoooler, now this.
  18. you should get the ES bushing grease (should come with them in a little packet) or a molygraph type grease.
  19. both bushings installed. yay don't forget to use the grease.
  20. I sawed through the sleeve on both sides, and then used a 27mm socket to press them out. after that, new bushings can be put in by hand, perfect fit.
  21. the bang bang system works well for turbo rally cars, because misfiring setup forces fuel into the exhaust manifold, and the turbo is so hot, the fuel ignites in the pipe. Benefit of this is that there's no turbo lag, the downside is it destroyes turbos
