  1. I want to know how it figures out what percentage of use is white, hispanic, black, etc.... didn't know TCP headers had racial tags?
  2. Hm, not familiar with pistols using clips. Perhaps you mean magazines? Also, for those of you not familiar, Taurus guns are beretta guns. Taurus purchased beretta's factory in brazil. Taurus pt92 and beretta 92f series are identical
  3. i approve of both firearms except the $500 price tag on the gsg-5. in cali, dealer has to cap hte mag at 10 rounds

I'm driving down there with capt_furious
  5. Not really. don't have any scales (at all). The stock long block without intake manifolds or accessories (but with rotors and eccentric shaft installed and assembled) is about 170 lbs. My frined and I maneuvered it easily around the garage. The transmission is aluminum and I can pick it up and move it by myself, feels about 80-90 lbs. Maybe if I find an industrial spring scale, I can hang individual items off my cherry picker and get the numbers. I'll see if HF has anything of the sort, something like this: Although, I wouldn't trust anything over 50 lbs with those hooks, despite the scale being rated up to 440 lbs.
  6. that's not hte right way of measuring depth though, because you're measuring from the spoke. put a flat board on back side of hte rim, and measure the distance between the board and the surface that's going flat against the hub, and that's your backspacing
  7. there are only 2 rotary Z cars on HBZ: one is mine, which isn't running (probably never will) and Owen's, who finished his NA carb'd motor a while back and had the car running. I don't know what happened to it since. He had it at one of the shows, maybe if I'm lucky, he'll have it at MSA this year
  8. gollum, never argue 'why do you bother with this motor' on hybridz. Our whole motto is to shove whatever we want into a Z. to the OP: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118064
  9. ok, how do i paint hte back slotted sections where I just stuck the sandpaper on a stick? rag dipped in paint? hehe
  10. i suppose i should take a pic of my 56" tv w/ HBZ on it in 1080p

  12. wow, that is a fantastic airdam. If you figure out what you want to charge, and do a HBZ group discount I am totally in
  13. I'm going to borrow dsommer's freshly posted pictures from the fabrication forum to illustrate my point: So the front lower radiator support is gusseted/vented/however you wish to call it. What's the best way of cleaning/stripping inside without media blasting? Even if media blasting is used, what's the best method of getting stuff out? How does one go about properly painting/sealing the insides to prevent future rust/corrosion?
  14. yep, i did search and read So what I gathered so far is that there won't be any flex to crack/pop the windshield, and I can leave the doors in if I want to (they'll be locked all the time anyway, all the stuff I'll be doing will be on the bottom/wheel wells). I plan on taking out the suspension, but leaving in front/rear crossmembers for rigidity/reinforcement. I'm looking at HF, and their 750lb stands are $50/each. I don't think I'll have more than 1500lbs in the car if I remove teh suspension and wheels. Everything else is already out of the car anyway, right? Not to mention if I weld in a couple of beams to support the stands, should be more than fine.
  15. well, yeah... I don't have a gas conversion on my mig (little astra that's 90 amp, i think, will double check when I get home). Pretty much all the welding that needs to be done has already been done to the car. This would be for cleaning, paint, maybe fill in some holes So my concern is whether a 90 amp mig can handle welding together a rotisserie? I'd obviously use gussets and v-cuts for deeper penetration (uhh huh huh)
  16. goddamn that looks nice. i wish my BD rail install looked that good. Hopefully if I paint over it, it'll look better
  17. excellent think I can build one with a generic 110v mig using flux wire?
  18. I just don't want to go through the hassle of replacing the seals, and my primary issue was the windshield. The hatch and doors I was planning to remove, since it's about 150lbs of weight. But otherwise the body won't be tweaked? I'm seriously considering rotisserie because I have no desire to lie under the car with a wire wheel while cleaning it up, and then painting it.
  19. If I was to build one or purchase a used one, how necessary is it to remove all glass? The car currently has a 4 pt autopower rollbar and baddog rails running front to back. Is it stiff enough to put on the rotisserie without having to take the glass out?
  20. gavice, I'll be sure to relay this conduct to other geeks, and make sure there's no impedance in the way
  21. i would, if it ran i just haven't finished it. it's 93% there. last 7 %... i haven't touched the car in over a year
  22. Like I said, buy my rotary setup. You get everything - stand alone ECU, all mounts fabbed up, all IC piping fabbed up, coils, plug wires, etc. Everything ready to go in a Z. Even the exhaust. Just figure out shipping a fair price I'll even throw in a spare turbo 2 transmission
