  1. monkey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4CUczb2JVA like that?
  2. with ls1/t56. drove fine, although it didn't give me the punch-in-the-nuts feeling from flooring it (gearing? motorcycle boots i was wearing?). anyway, the check engine light was on, so i hooked up an obd2 scanner, and it gave 3 error codes -1 for mass airflow meter volume being low, 1 for p1 cylinder bank lean, 1 for p2 cylinder bank lean... are all those related, or separate issues? Looking at picking up the car shortly
  3. 2G1FP22G222110845 i know it has a salvage title, but I'd like to see if anyone can pull hte history/report for me, that would be fantastic! thanks!
  4. I need a stock uncracked undented crossmember from a 240z. If it has relocated pivot holes, that's fine too, as long as it has no cracks or major dents in it. Please PM me if you have one with your price
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7ep1osg6vQ that's just nuts
  6. positive offset or negative? either way, that size won't fit without flaring.
  7. First song's band name is relatively half appropriate
  8. IMO, rear engine design for a Z is not a good idea. I know this is HybridZ and all, but keep in mind that when you sit in a Z, you're already sitting 6" in front of hte rear tires. Granted, you'll get lots of usable trunk space in the front, but I don't think using an aircooled beetle motor in a Z is a good idea. Stock Z weighed in at 2350 for 71 240z. Beetles were about 600 lbs lighter, not the same weight. You'd be losing out a lot on the torque due to beetle motor's displacement. You can squeeze out 200hp out of an aircooled motor, this is true, and the bug will do wheel stands, but you can also achieve that power from a mildly worked L28. How much does it cost to get the 1600 or 1700 ito produce 350hp? that being said, I am simply pointing out facts, and there's nothing wrong with wanting to put a beetle motor in a Z.
  9. remember what I told you at Wingstop? That your electric is auxilliary and not meant to be primary, and may not be putting enough pressure to the carbs? But your float bowls should be large enough to hold enough fuel, so that when you stab the gas, it should simply empty out the bowls, not immediately stall out. How long of a time frame do you have between jabbing the throttle and when it stalls out? Is it instant or does it take about 2-4 seconds? If latter, then you're not getting enough fuel delivered, would be my guess
  10. nm, if you save them, they're high res
  11. anyone have a link to it with hi res versions, like 1600x1050 or so?
  12. he has a block off plate for the mechanical pump, if memory serves
  13. Dan has a shiny side?! that's...disturbing.... also, happy bday
  14. can you give me an approximation on the costs and what you had done?
  15. I can't stand sanding and doing body work (to me, it feels like nails on chalk board) and I want my car ready and prepped for the swap, meaning painted and ready to go. I wouldn't mind repainting the car either, my current paint, while glossy in some areas, is showing its 20 years. Can anyone in bay area recommend a shop that will handle doing underbody prep and paint (baddog rails were put in) as well as engine bay and possibly exterior? Engine bay and underbody are currently the priorities

  18. when Jesus walked across the water and joined them in the boat. When the three astonished men had settled down enough to speak, the engineer asked humbly, "Jesus, I've suffered from back pain ever since I took shrapnel in the Vietnam war...could you help me?" "Of course, my son", Jesus said, and when he touched the man's back, he felt relief for the first time in years. The teacher, who wore very thick glasses and had a hard time reading and driving, asked if Jesus could do anything about his eyesight. Jesus smiled, removed the man's glasses and tossed them in the lake. When they hit the water, the man's eyes cleared and he could see everything distinctly. When Jesus turned to heal the union worker, the guy put his hands up and cried defensively, "Don't touch me! I'm on long term disability."
