  1. ok, thanks. that helps me out by saving me $140 for the trans mount
  2. I have had a JTR transmission crossmember lying around for about 5-6 years, along with other parts destined long ago for a 350/t5 or equivalent swap. Will this crossmember work for a T56? I'm assuming some modifications for mount holes would be required, but I wanted to confirm that the design will still put the transmission int he right location...
  3. Don't worry, I scoped out the link for HybridZ, there was nothing good

  6. no wonder american society is going down the toilet
  7. yeah, sorry it's kind of a pisser subject
  8. check with cycle salvage in fremont. but if the forks are toast, I'd expect more than just fork damage. Got pics of the damage? Fairings? Brakes? in other news, I'm selling my bike: [shameless plug] http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/1205329001.html
  9. nope, have to pee it out (great!). they gave me a little filter to piss through and everything. Morphine was done via IV... but I do have a bottle of oxycodone (generic percacet)
  10. Woke up, slight constipation and lower abdominal pain. Figured it'd go away, but this wasn't a sharp pain - it was dull on the lower right side of the abdomen. It got progressively worse, and I could hardly walk. Got into my car and started driving to ER. Halfway there, I started hyperventilating and losing sensation in my hands. I managed to get myself into ER, and the nurse handed me a form to fill out. I barely managed to get my name and phone # written down until I could no longer hold a pen or focus. My back muscles were extremely tightened and I was shaking uncontrollably. 2 doses of morphine and 1 dose of some other ♥♥♥♥ I can't remember calmed me down, followed by another dose of morphine later when the pain started to come back. Xray, CT scan revealed kidney stone. Seriously I've never felt this much pain in my life before.

  12. stock rating was 108hp, 103hp for california model. However, all the smog stuff was removed, and it has an aftermarket exhaust with a matching ECU tune. Full size pics here: http://www.datsunracing.com/alex/tt600 The original pics are a year old. I can take some new ones after I wash the bike. One other thing, I installed 3 way signal lights in the rear, wired in for constant on to be more visible. Easily switched off by unplugging 2 wires.
  13. how much do you want for it, and how much is shipping? i'm in 94085 area code
  14. wheels are actually shot and worth absolutely nothing. mix and match of parts
  15. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/1205329001.html For HybridZ, $200 off
  16. I have other personal reasons for not finishing the rotary. Psychological factors of having no motivation to finish THAT swap, despite it being 90% complete. Yes, I'm losing a lot.
  17. evil, what did you pay for yours, if you don't mind me asking? pretty much, I just want to assume 3-4k for ls1 cost, and break even on the rest
  18. obviously, a bit more cleaner now. In the last pic, you can see the whole front end shifted and the MAF/intake are 6" out of alignment. This is from 2 months ago from the auction, obviously, and the engine bay is a lot cleaner now. The front end was cut and welded up at rad support/rails.

  20. yes, i know i posted the original one
  21. OK, long story short, I'm abandoning the rotary Z and going LS1. Local guy here is selling an LS1 2002 camaro, salvage title. motor has 26k miles. It's definitely not pretty to look at, yesterday I drove it and it felt slow for an LS1 (but was also throwing MAF low volume error code, and p1/p2 banks leaning out). Most likely MAF was damaged in the accident (and it's visible in auction photos I found of the car (frame was severely damaged, upon impact the battery exploded and engine bay was covered in acid. Engine itself isn't very pretty to look at (think dirt and acid etching on aluminum and plastic). Otherwise the engine ran quite good, no stumbles, steady 800rpm at idle. Shifted smoothly through all 6 gears, even the skip shift crap was working. It's bone stock Guy wanted 5,800 for it, I talked him down to 5k. Do you guys think it's a decent deal to buy, yank out drive train/fuel tank, part it out, and junk it, for about $5,000? Given the MAF and sensor replacement, I think I can knock off another $300 or so. Need to give an answer today, let me know your thoughts! For reference, local salvage yard here (gmsportssalvage) sells LS1/t56 sets for 4,500 with 30 day warranty.
  22. thanks! hm...so there's no retitle to the new owner... interesting.
