But in my opinion it would be worth it. I seen ur car at msa and instantly fell in love. THe way it just modernizes the z (which is my goal with my car) and wraps around u. I love it and will be doin something similar in the future.

actually guys i think ur car only gets impounded if u are oficially "street racing". Meaning a gathering of cars intended to race. of course i could be wrong but ive been caught racing one on one and they didnt take my car. THey just game me a huge ticket.

what ive never figured out is how the handbrake works. THe z has it on the left side (near the passanger) and the 240sx has it on the driver side. So do u need to use the 240sx handbrake? and if so DO u also use the 240sx hand brake lines and modify them to fit the 240z? or can u use the 240z brake lines modified to fit the 240sx hand brake.

why dont u just use 280z insulators? they are an inch taller than a 240z insulators. I dont know about 260z thou. someone know? I know its good for an inch higher if u have the 240z style insulators.

I recently bought the honda wheel adapters from Modern Motorsport (actually I bought them on Augest 13th). I know they werent shipping stuff until the 22. But i have been trying to see the status of the order but my emails have not been replied too. I just sent my third email today. My ??? is this. Is there a # that i can reach them at? I cant seem to find one on the website. This is the first time i have got something from them. That reason i need them in a hurry is because i need to see if the wheels will sit in my fenders without sticking out before i send the car to paint. Id rather flare now then later if i have 2. After i get them and see that the wheels fit its off to paint.

i went today to pick up floorpans and frame rails for aziza. I need them to put them in before paint. So i call them in the morning to see if hey have them in stock. They say they have both the specialty one and regular ($110 diffrence because one has factory drains and the other doesnt). i dont really give a damn about the drains so I i put the regulars on call. Im there 2 hours later. I tell him that i have them on call and he says that they;re not. ok fine. so he goes to get them from the back. comes back, "ummmm, we dont have them in stock". I say that i was told they were here. He says he has them but two left sides. So i ask him when he will have them in. 2 weeks. I cant wait that long. Car is ready for paint NOW! offers me a $20 discount for the specialy ones. i take them and as i am putting them in my car the sticker on the bottom says "280zx". great, i had told him 280z. i take the floor pans back inside and tell him. another 15mins in the back and he brings me one that says 280z. i check to see that everything is in there because they look dumber than they are. everything is there. i go home later and find one of the frame rails slightly bent. Seems like everytime i go there something goes wrong. Is it just my luck or is it happening with others? idk. bottom line today. i am not pleased with MSA.

btw all the taped metal pieces on the car are just to hold the pieces in place til i get around to welding them in. just incase you guys were wondering if i was going for that "tape" look.

Been doing alot of work on aziza lately now that i have a daily driver til shes "half decent". I was driving it with primer and let me tell you, it aint pretty. I finally picked up some decent rims. 17x7.5 35mm offset honda wheels. Which leads me to my first question. I did some reaserch, asked a few z owners, and searched and heres what i come up with for tires. I want to run it by u guys first thou to see if this would work. 245/45/17 in the back with rolled fenders, 235/45/17 in front. Will i have any issues? Im in the process of lowering the car now. Arizona z springs, 240z insulators in the back and adjustable illuminas. I just got done with one side of the car. Ima go finish the other side this weekend. I want to get all this stuff done before paint. Speakin of that i welded my antenna hole, and hatch emblems then got to know bondo haha. IT looks decent. I need to get started on shaving the rear end now. Oh and for those of you who didnt think you could get a ticket for no rear bumper in a z. ur wrong i got one. he only knew it wasnt there thou because on 280z rears there are holes. Stupid pig was bored anyway so he got me. ive posted pics of my new rims, the lowered side of the car and the wheel held up to the car. ill post better pics sometime this weekend. Thanks in advance. btw does anyone know the laws in ca about lowered cars? SOmeone told me that the middle of the headlight has to be 24inches from the ground. Does any one know?

would they still aprove of the swap if i removed all the smog stuff on a v8? My car is a 75 and it didnt have much smog stuff to begin with from the factory. It had a carbon canister. How often does it happen thou? has anyone here ever been cited?

if you get pulled over does the cop have the right to open the hood because it "sounds diffrent"?
