  1. I just thought I would share some pics of the Nissan 240sx Convertible my brother has been working on. He has done some pretty cool custom stuff, including an 240sx with a Z car front end. The Widebody and rear valance is all custom made from scratch. I drool every time i see this thing. Anyhow enjoy.

  3. Here you go, not much to look at but MAYBE one day it will be finished lol
  4. I think you should start with 1000 grit, then 1500, then 2000 and then buff it
  5. I think it look kinda cool. Reminds me of the 2-tone Mazda 3 interior.
  6. hehehe braap i love this picture. It looks like your car is saying, "IM GONNA EAT YOU!!!!"
  7. I really like the look of an SR20det in a Z engine bay with a top-mount intercooler. Makes it look purdy.
  8. That sucks, I know how you feel. Ive gone through that but with cars, I always seem to get people who bring me their car to work on and I let them know about something that will need to be fixed soon and they ignore me and end up running the car to the ground, then they bring it back to me and expect me to fix it for next to nothing:weird:. Once I sold a 260z to someone and i ended up pulling the eibach springs for my 280z. I noticed that the hub in front had some play in it so i decided to take off the dust cap and check it out. Man did I FREAK OUT when I saw what the PO did to it. Aparently he stripped the thread on the spindle, what did he do? He ground down the threads on a smaller size nut and hammered it into the spindle like it was a sleeve TO HOLD THE HUB TOGETHER!!!!!! I was so pissed I couldnt believe it, at any moment the wheel would have come off and done some major damage... man that just boils my blood....
  9. If you start the car and let it idle by itself will it run for about 5 seconds and then cut out? I ask because i had this happen to my 280z before and i checked everything, like you everything seemed fine. After lots off searching through the forums, I ended up finding a thread with some info that helped, it turned out that there is a relay under the dashboard near the steering wheel that ended up being the problem. I dont even remember what type of relay it was but i changed it and my car ran fine.
  10. Try swaping out to a stock intake manifold, it might help with fitment.
  11. Talk to Adrian and Alex from Vildini Motorsports. They can do the swap for you. I have had them do work on my sr20 in my 280z and their skills are top notch. They do all sorts of swaps, also they are located in Mission Viejo. here is their website: http://www.vildinimotorsport.com/i/Home.html
  12. thanks careless, lol as for the upgrading part..... not gna happen lol( as much as i want it to) Been laid off for the last 4 months:icon_frow
  13. I decided to reposition my CAS on my SR20( off one tooth:ugg:) and when I took off the valve cover i noticed that my cams look a little rough. As you can see from the pics they look scoured a bit. I'm going to have to pull off the oil squirters and clean them out( prolly dirty or clogged) but my question is, Do you guys think it will be ok to run them or should i clean them up with some fine sand paper? Im not a big fan of sanding them, but any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks
  14. Why not check to see how hard it is to fabricate the FWD sub-frame to the Z and do a AWD on it.:burnout: that would be really cool.
  15. Mine sounds like air rushing through a hose, more of a ppppSSSSHHHHHH(lol) instead of the newer HKS bov's which have a high pitch sound.
  16. I think they a pretty good band. I think their song "Pain" is pretty good
  17. I am planning on making some ducting for it, just havn't gotten to it yet.
  18. I got the headlights from ebay, and bought a set of projectors.(also off of ebay) Then I dremeled the back out and JB welded it together, They look really nice with the 6000k HID kit i got for em.
  19. Here is a few pics of the car itself. Note: In the second pic, can you spot the GT-R Workbench? lol
  20. Thanks for the comments guys, i took it on the freeway before i put the hood on and with the top-mount setup venting air under the hood I could not even go faster than 60 MPH(guestimate, speedometer doesn't work yet:icon55:) without having the front end wander all over the place, I cant wait to take it for another spin around the block.
  21. LOL go for it, I don't mind at all. I always look up info on this forum and I dont have a problem sharing my(or others) ideas.
  22. I just thought id share some pics of the hood vents i cut out on a left over hood. I really did not think it would turn out nice but it did:mrgreen:. This will help out a lot due to the fact that i have a top-mount intercooled setup. Do you guys think it should be sufficient enough for the top mount, or should i add more vents?
