  1. They are indeed $50 cheaper ($725) with a money order. For those that have sent money orders in the past, who did you name on the money order? Regards, Justin
  2. Just a FYI. I talked to Kim. It is $775 for a set of 9.5" all around. I'm sending in my money for these wheels tomorrow in hopes of getting in on the initial buy. Justin
  3. The 17X9 will not be flush with the fenders. You will need flares for that wheel. Here is a picture of the 17X9 on a stock fender car. I don't think you can pull and roll a fender enough to cover them.
  4. On my car, I'm lowering the seats as much as possible. You'd be surprised how low they can go. Your legs do become more straightened tho. Justin
  5. That's is good advice. I'm just looking at building up my cushion a bit
  6. I'm not trying to make this political. I am in no debt, and spend ~500-750 a month on my car project. I pay my school tuition with the money I make from my current job. The problem for me is if I lose my job, I won't be able to make rent and pay out of pocket for my school tuition. I feel it might be a good time to have a bit of a financial reserve so that I can live and go to school without working for 6-9 months. To do that I'd need $600/month for living expenses + $2500 a term for school. So 10k+/- to be financial independent for a while. I'm about 8k off that in savings Justin
  7. With the current state of the economy, have many of you changed the amount of money you are spending on your car projects? I'm considering taking a hiatus from my project to save money that I can use towards school if I lose my job. Anyone else considering parting out their project car or halting spending on it? Regards, Justin
  8. Here's another e-mail from Kim: What quantity of these colors are being brought in on the first shipment? 10 sets each colors. What other colors will be brought in on subsequent shipments? RGM, RBR AND THEN RGOLD, RHYPER BLACK AND RS.
  9. This stuff looks cool: http://www.safedrives.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BSCI-DDpad&cat=105 Justin
  10. If anyone else has pictures of the Type 3 bumper/kit please post.
  11. Any more progress on this? Has me really interested! Justin
  12. I start at Portland State this next tuesday. I'm only taking 2 classes as I don't manage well working full time and taking more classes then that. I gotta fund my tube chassis 280z project. I like the balance of work and school as I'm a mechanical designer/engineer at my present job. I'll be taking Numerical Methods (a Matlab course ME 352) & Fracture Mechanics (ME 410). Justin
  13. TH350 is 125 lbs, TH400 is 134 lbs. About 10 lbs difference.
  14. Picked up a MSA Type 3 front air dam last night. I also worked on plating the rocker where I will be attaching the floor section of the cage. It looks horrible right now, but I think I have my method figured out. The passenger side will go much faster now. I just need to make sure I don't deform the structure of the car while modifying the rockers. The floor is completely gone on the drivers side and half gone on the passenger side. The rockers are filled with tar so I have to burn that out before I can weld the new rocker plates in. Slow going, but its going. I'll mount the type 3 bumper this weekend, along with welding in rocker mounting plates. I need a level to get everything square. Pictures coming soon once I patch up this rocker. Its UGLY right now and I'm a bit embarrassed to have cut so much away Justin
  15. The divided 3076r's turbine housing is very small volume wise. It is difficult to properly build a divided collector for these t3 divided turbine housings. Alternately, I'd recommend a BW s256 divided t4 turbo over a divided gt3076r. These come in a variety of turbine housings and are very responsive. There is enough room on the divided t4 flange to effectively make a nice 6-2 collector. http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=214_1167&products_id=1905&osCsid=a0c320e64e503a86e0950b9e5e23e268
  16. How much power is your blower good for anyway? Justin
  17. That turbo looks very promising and would spool a hell of a lot quicker then your current setup. Do you run race gas? How much boost are you looking to run? Justin
  18. Here's where I'd buy my GT35R http://performance.yoparts.com/garrett-turbochargers-/garrett-gt-ball-bearingturbos-/gt3582ras63/i-159510.aspx
  19. I just got off the phone with MAS (ph: 651-644-6811) and they still carry the bubble flares. They currently cost $69 for the front and $79 for the rear. Justin
  20. It looks like you currently have a peak turbine flow of about 42lb/min. The GT4202R w/ 1.15 a/r matches that turbine flow nicely. I would think that you would have close to the same response with the single with equal turbine flow. You are loosing out on the divided turbine housing with this new manifold. Your twins took advantage of having cylinders 1,2,3 and 4,5,6 divorced. This theoretically helps spool up. Justin
  21. Here's a S375 for $950: http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=113562.0 I would personally do this option http://www.theturboforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=115984.0 Justin
  22. The thing is, your current turbos are rated at a peak output of 480hp per turbo. So you'd be looking at ~ 950hp turbo to make their output. A GT4202R or BW S375 (AKA S400SX) would get you there. You can source a S375 for ~$1000. Justin
  23. Cool thanks for the pictures. That doesn't look bad at all. Maybe I can do the 325/50-15's like I want. Justin
