  1. Anyone know if the 15X8 Sportmax wheels will clear the Arizona Z car 12.2" brakes front and rear? Regards, Justin

  3. This seems counter intuitive to me. Why is this true? I do not doubt the fact, just hoping for an explanation. Regards, Justin
  4. Well, heres my current damage on my drivers side frame rail. Is this very bad for a 280z? Justin
  5. Looks really good! How do you like the Gator Guard? Would you use it again? Justin
  6. At what point is it necassary that the frame rails be replaced? My 280z has half of the drivers frame rail rusted out, but thats it. Should I replace both of them or wait tell they both need work? Justin
  7. As far as hooking off of the line, does it help a lot to have a softer suspension? Z-Gad is running: Tokico Lowering springs Koni Struts set all the way stiff 3.36 R200 LSD Z31 turbo CV's with Ross's companion flanges stock 280z stubs. 16x8.5" wheels MT 26x11.5x16 ET Streets
  8. I like the wheels! They are actually 17X9 FNO1R-C's. +20 offset: http://www.5zigenusa.com/main.html
  9. Just curious what the best setup out there for launching the S30 with factory rear suspension. I see that both Z-Gad and JnJ are in the 1.3xx second 60ft times. What are those setups? I noticed that both of these cars sit fairly high in the rear. Does that help hook up with the IRS? Spool or LSD? Justin
  10. Metal Locally is usually cheaper then online metals from what I've seen. Regards, Justin
  11. Are you planning on caging the car, or just doing the tube fron end? Justin
  12. This shows a 315/35-17 on a 17X10.5" rim on Ricks car: They fit nice! http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt4.JPG http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt5.JPG
  13. Its pretty standard to run a 15" X 10" wheel with those slicks. I think thats what rick is running. Heres his thread on the whole deal: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105742&highlight=porkchop
  14. You can go as big as 325/50-15 on the YZ flares: http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt1.JPG http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt2.JPG http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt3.JPG http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt6.JPG http://rick.thebowersplace.com/pix/Butt7.JPG
  15. Well, my goal is to find a brake setup that will clear Diamond Racing 15"X10" wheels. From what I've read, the AZC brakes wont clear. It looks like the 5 lug JSK will clear based on the picture I've seen. I'm not sure what will clear in the back? Also, I want to run the same backspacing wheels at all 4 corners. To get away with this, I'm not sure if the Z31 Hubs will allow this being they add 3/4" to the front backspacing. Justin
  16. If anyone has an extra manifold I'd like to try shorten the runners and weld the plenum onto the lower runners. Justin
  17. ♥♥♥♥, 416ci L92 strokers are getting cheap. With ported heads and a cam they'll lay down 550whp. That would be crazy in a 2500lb car. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=675896
  18. Are you doing camber plates? Weld in or bolt in? This will have a effect on the ride height and amount that needs to be removed from the struts. Regards, Justin
  19. Good link to 240sx dash conversion. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=99153&highlight=240sx+dash+swap
  20. I'm intersted in doing a 240sx dash swap. Is there a difference between the s13 and s14 240sx dash? Besides the center consel and dash, what parts should I grab from the 240sx? Can I retain my factory heater?
  21. So I've been looking a bit more. It would appear that the standard 4 lug arizona Z car brakes will have trouble clearing the caliper on most 15" wheels. If I go to a 5 lug setup with a z31 hub, the wheel is pushed out away from the caliper 3/4". This should give me enough room to run whatever 15" wheel I want and still clear the caliper. Here is the e-mail response I recieved back from http://www.autobrakeworks.com/datsun.htm " Hi Justin, Photos attached. We have changed and improved a few things on the hat. Hats are made smaller and also have taps inserted into the aluminum which is then strengthen with helicoil inserts. So there is no need for nuts to hold on the rotor. Just the bolt. Another thing.. The caliper you will receive are Wilwood's latest forged Superlites. The one shown are their old Superlite 2a which they don't make anymore.
