  1. Here it can be seen the rear clearance of 275/40-17 in relation to a 8" spring: http://www.geocities.com/clifton_ragland/Tires.html Here are the wheels I'm going to run front and rear:
  2. Well, I'm looking to buy a set of 5zigen FN01R wheels. 17X10 et+12 (6" backspacing) front and rear. Depending upon how the 275/40-17R fits, I may be fine without a spacer on the rear. BTW, I'm running Z31 front hubs, so the front should be ok. Thanks for the help Justin
  3. The PVC pipe is very good to practice cutting collectors since it is so soft and is the same dimensions as the metal schedule 40 pipe. That is how I worked the bugs out of my jig for my 5 into 1 collectors. Regards, Justin
  4. I'm just curious what backspacing will be with this rear disc setup. I'm going to a short 8" rear spring to gain clearance to move the wheel further inboard. I haven't measured, but I imagine the backspacing for a disc rear setup is less then that for a drum rear. If so, how much of a difference is there? Regards, Justin
  5. I'm going to swap over to 5 lug in the rear and am wondering offset I will be able to run with the following setup: Modern Motorsports 240sx rear disc bracket 240sx rear caliper Z31 turbo rear rotors Modern Motorsports 5 Lug stub axel (modified 280z version) Coilovers with 8" tall spring
  6. Has anyone done a S30 in Audi TT grey?
  7. On schedule 40 stainless you're going to stuggle getting full penetration in one pass. It can be done, but its easier just to do 2 passes. I prefer using schedule 10 316L stainless for turbo manifolds. It has nice corrosion resistance, and can be welded in a single pass. Make sure to backpurge when doing stainless. Regards, Justin
  8. ♥♥♥♥, swith over to E85. That will lower your egts and allow you more boost, all from a pump fuel. Those 150lb/hr injectors would be just right for E85! Citgo 8438 Telegraph Road Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 Justin
  9. You can build a manifold without velocity stacks. I recommend you use a thick plenum base. This would allow you to machine in a smooth transition from the plenum to the runners. Ross' parts are very nice. Here is an intake manifold I've designed with ross' stacks and runner material (audi 5 cylinder). The flanges are custom by me. You can definitely make nice stuff with their material. Regards, Justin
  10. The velocity stacks wont work with the L28 as several of the ports are too close in relation to one another. Justin

  12. I think hayabusa throttle bodies are 46mm ITB. Two sets of thse spaced out properly may work well. Justin
  13. What kind of back spacing can you run with a 8" rear coilover spring? Justin
  14. Ah, so its the 70.3mm inducer, 94mm exducer. Very nice. Such a sweet turbo!
  15. Is this the 70.3mm or 74.3mm gt42r? Regards, Justin
  16. Here are some pictures of the MAS flares. I'm tempted to remove my side moldings and rivet these things on. The flares will bend bit so they match the contour of the wheel well better. Note on this last picture that they are designed for the 240z with recesses for the bumper.
  17. Heres "nopes" wheels. They are 17X10 +12 offset. And here is Clifton's car with 17X8 on the front and 17X9 on the rear:

  20. Since we are discussing this, is there a downside to run different length springs front and rear? 10" front and 8" rear? Edit: Found this thread.. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105300&highlight=hyperco+length
