  1. I used "Lizard Skin" One bucket of the sound dampning and one bucket (2 gallons) of the ceramic heat/sound proofing" Came out really nice. Found out a lot of the nascar teams use it around here in NC. you can see pictures of it on my site. I would recomend it to you. Scott
  2. Hi, I am trying to find the nissan part # for the 5mm phillip screws about 1" long witht the washer on them. I called my local dealer and Courtesy Nissan and neither one can help me so I can buy them. Ebay has them for about 1.50 each, which is too much. I just tried one guy and he wanted 20 plus shipping for 10 of them. I have searched all over and it is frustrating to say the least. The main screw I am looking for is the one on the left. The other 2 I will start looking for soon. They are 6mm. So, if anyone has some info on these I would appreciate it! Scott
  3. I am wiring up my 02 ls1 with the original harness, removing what isn't necessary along the way. But I got to the evaporator control on the top of the motor left side, which one side of the pipe is connected to the intake mainfold (up front) goes into the control module (where elect plug is) and there is a tube going out and taped to the intake fuel line. Do I hook this up electronically? Do I need to hook it up gas vapor wise to something? I don't live in CA and have omitted the rear O2 sensors and EGR (well headers did that for me). It is the thing right above the yellow fuel caution sticker
  4. I was geting ready to order this Braille Battery: Braille Auto B2618 and I wanted to do a search to make sure it was an OK battery. I liked this one since it was ling and skinny and I could mount it behind the passenger seat.
  5. Has anyone forgone the water heated core exchanger for an electric heater/blower?
  6. I jst got mine back and installing now. It was done in black leather. I got the idea from this post and took it to a restoration shop.
  7. I had mine done by a company the requests to stay anonymous. They did a really good custom job!
  8. I added some pictures of the tunnel area's that needed modifying to the document. The pictures were absent from the original document. I am also in the process of adding the wiring changes that I am doing to the LS1 wiring harness. This way with pictures it might make it easier for others. http://www.4moores.com/280z/files/JCI Install Update 2.doc http://www.4moores.com/280z/files
  9. I just added a lot of LS1 diagrams in PDF that I got from other sources. I hope this helps some people out. http://www.4moores.com/280z/files
  10. I put them up on my personal website to help so they don't need to be emailed. Just click and download. Other files (in second link) are also available. I was hoping that his would help. http://www.4moores.com/280z/files/JCI Install Update 1.doc more ls1 files: http://www.4moores.com/280z/files __________________
  11. I have some pics to add of the places where the tunnel "pounding" modification was required. Is it OK to add to the current DOC?
  12. I am using Lizard Skin spray on ceramic and sound. Used for heat disapation too.
  13. Mine was fine too. I would call JCI, they are good about fixing that kind of stuff.
  14. I have a 76 280z with a 2002 LS1, stock fuel tank and a Walboro 225 pump. I plan on using a C5 filter/regulator. I have been (drinking burbon) searching for how to do a surge tank correctly. Which one to buy. I want to do the VIR driving classes, to give you an idea of the driving I would like to do.The info here is speratic to me, can someone help me with my setup please. There are do many different set ups out there. Thanks Scott.
  15. GREAT!! That is fantastic news, good luck!
  16. I put the JTR headers on and I can't get the oil dip stick to fit back in. Did anyone else have this problem? See it pointing to the rear.
  17. If I use the C5 filter/regulator where would it go?
  18. Thanks cheesepocket (where did you get that nick?) but I am confused on the one line going forward. How does the return line get back?
  19. I am at 22,750 right now. That includes engine and tranny too that we bought. That is not including the car $2K. Now car has been striped down already. Also new seats, big brakes and gauges and well about everything... The only thing left original will be the body. I estimate a few grand is still left. But it won't be a "cookie cutter, mass produced" car either. Also it won't have all of the creature comforts of a new car too.
  20. Not finished but in progress. '76 280Z 2002 LS1 Pontiac WS6 with 28K original on it. 6 speed tranny. All JCI and JTR kits. MSA type3 body kit. hope to finished this fall. Thanks to everyones posts. I have been using them to get through my questions. http://www.4moores.com/280z/
  21. Is there a return line on this tank? I have a 2002 WS6 LS1 that is going in. I bought a walborg (sp) fuel pump for it. I was having my rusty tank cleaned and then larger lines welded in. This might be cheaper than all of that. Plus I have a new tank... Was it hard to mount?
  22. Thanks, for keeping this up for others. I was just looking for this info! It will save me some $
