  1. If there had been a deep snow drift, the deer may have only had to jump maybe 5 or 6 feet. Then was electricuted by landing across the wires. That doesn`t look like an empty skin. It looks too bloated for that.
  2. What was the price of the T 56, other parts and flywheel? I might be interested in taking one off your hands.
  3. HEY, this might be a good way to save some cash next Christmas. I could show these pics to the kids and tell them that since rudolph is DEAD, santa won`t be coming this year.
  4. I`m going to assume the deer jumped there when the snow was deeper. Some critters or maybe even some birds must have been snacking on it`s legs.
  5. Who the HELL cares what "stock" times are anyway? If he want`s to argue stock times, he should be at Zcar.com. The Ls1 board as well as this, are for performance mods not stock cars. He sounds pretty narrow minded to me. The same kind of person that this site was started to avoid. My .02
  6. yes, they are on ebay. No pics but both spoilers as a set. Buy it now price, 200.00.
  7. Thanks, I will probably pass on them then.

    r200

You may want to check the cross brace that runs behind the diff cover. some of them are different between r180`s and r200`s. The correct one should arch out more from the cover to clear the larger diff.
  9. Could someone here please point me to a car with these front and rear spoilers on it? I don`t have an msa catalog or I would look it up myself. Front spoiler msa #50-1685 Rear spoiler msa #50-1573 Thanks, Denny
  10. Many Ins, companies would refuse to pay because the car was being operated on a race track. I know my policy says specifically that they will not cover any damages as a result of racing.
  11. What about EFI? would a mid 80`s tuned port injection manifold work?

    Engine rebuild

I personally would have AT LEAST changed all of the bearings, timing set, oil pump, and rear main seal while I was there. That would be cheap insurance for what the parts and a little more labor would be.
  13. I can see now, that I need to get a book on turbocharging. Just to figure out the terminology, and what parts do what is going to take some time. Any suggestions on prefered reading? What about the stock GN turbo`s? What size are they, and how would they work?
  14. what about a pair of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=1876713852 Would thay give me what I`m looking for? Even if I don`t buy these it could give me a start for what cars to look for.
  15. Does anyone know if the TO4 came stock on anything? and would two of these work well in stock form for a 350 sbc? or would I have to change turbins or something else?
  16. Check for a vacume leak at the fuel pressure regulator. I had the same problem with my stock 77. I changed all the vacume lines and the problem went away. The vacume line to my regulator was hard, and cracked on the bottom where you couldn`t see it. This caused a vacume leak, and also kept the regulator from doing it`s job.
  17. I will have my NA Hybrid finished this summer. I`m shooting for the summer of 04 for the turbo car. That will give me a year and a half to do research and bargain hunting. In the end, I will probably keep BOTH cars, but DON`T tell my wife that.
  18. I hope he was exagerating about that be ing a one of a kind piece.
  19. At what boost level does detonation become most problematic? I`ve already got a set of dart cast iron heads that I could use, but if they will cause detonation problems at or around 15lb of boost, I will sell these off and go for some aluminum heads.
  20. I`m with ya. We moved from Ohio to alabama for 18 mo. for my wifes work, and in 3 mo we have to move back. I told my wife, The next time we move, we are building a new house and having it completely furnished. The only things we will move with us is our clothes and personal belongings. Everything else will be auctioned off where it sits.
  21. Zcarsmakemyheadhurt, How far are you from sebring? My grandparents have a house there. I was thinking about making a trip to see them while I`m already half way. If not too far out of the way, I may stop by and discuss some of my ideas in person.
  22. I would have to second the propane torch method. It has worked very well for me in the past. DON`T LIGHT THE TORCH! What I usually do is remove the tip from the torch head, and slip a long piece of vacume hose onto the brass tube. The hose allows you to get in and around tight places, without have to invert the propane bottle which could cause variations in gas flow.
  23. Thanks for the input Guys. What about connecting rods? Would I be better off with 6.00" or 5.7" ? I normally would lean toward the 6", but I`m not sure how boost would effect the tourque angle. Lewis, By the way, the Z I`m planning for this is the silver 78 that you looked at.
  24. Thanks for the input. I am planning to build an na 383 hybrid with around 450 hp to get me by for awhile. The more I think about it, I start to realize. If I truely want to have a low 9 sec street car, Turbo is pretty much the best route. I like the idea of being able to drive hundreds of miles with relatively good mpg, and still be able to to pretty much smoke most of the track only cars out there. I know this will be a long process, and IF I decide to go this route, I`m pretty sure that the 450hp car I`m building now will keep me satisfied.(FOR AWHILE)
  25. I might be interested. Any guestimate on price? Where are you in Ohio? If he still has one available when I return from Alabama, I may come and take a looksee.
