i noticed you have fenderwell headers. could you get some more pics of how they re run and clear the master cyl?

I`m looking for more of a performance radiator. something that will handle cooling a 550 hp engine with maybe a little overkill for insurance. I`ve been watching ebay for some deals, but wasn`t sure what would fit. What about max height?

What is the width between the frame rails? I don`t have my car with me, so I can`t measure it myself.

I`ve had the mod bug myself(alot), and I would reccomend leaving it alone. At 70k I would pass on the new rings. You could get by with putting new bearings in and replacing the belt with the engine still in the car. Your time and money would be better spent on the Z.(IMO)

I`ve got the Hot Rod issue that it was featured in and on the cover. I think it said he couldn`t hook until half track at over 140mph.

What is the widest radiator you can fit into an s30?

I picked up a 94 Elantra that had been overheated. It came with a 50k mi replacement engine. All for 400, and had it running in less than a week.

It all depends on the market you live in. I called the local(small town) tranny shop about my wifes explorer. They wanted 1600 for a rebuild, Advance auto wanted 1175 exchange, :weird:So I called a place about 1.5 hrs away,(larger city)800 installed with 1 yr warrantee. My advice; "Shop around" or buy a JY tranny, throw it in yourself, and unload the car asap.

One more thing, you will most likely have to rebuild the carb and replace the fuel pump. Old varnished or evaporated gas has a way of really screwing these up after sitting for a while.

Welcome aboard, The marvel oil is a good idea. You will also want to drain the fuel tank, change the oil, transmission and brake fluids. Priming the oil pump isn`t absolutely necessary, (IMO) but you will want to disconnect the coil wire when you crank it for the fist time. This should prime the pump without having to pull the distributor. Before you take it out on the road to run the hell out of it. You will want to be sure that the pads and shoes are in good condition. Inspect the wheel cylinders and front calipers and brake lines for rust and any signs of leaking also. If I forgot something, I`m sure someone will chime in.

The price is pretty SALTY too. About 3K for a pro built one(without converter). Any ideas how much power the 4L80e takes to run vs a 350th?

Where do I get the Torque Drive sunshell and drum?

What kind of HP/TQ levels should a 4L80e handle in stock form? What kind of upgrades are available for them? What was the first year of production for these, and are there any specific models that are more durable? What about the 4L60e? are they as durable as the 80`s?

Tim, nothing to be ashamed of. I have a 79 mgb.

My set does not have a 20mm either, but what really bothers me is the empty space on my socket rack that says "20" A place for everything and everything in it`s place. except when there is a place for somthing that does not exist.

I didn`t have any rust to deal with, but I sprayed rubberized undercoating in that area.

Has anyone heard of these? They are said to be adjustable. The name doesn`t sound familiar to me.

I was talking to the owner of a local speed shop about coatings. He says that jet hot is mostly hype, and thatnearly every set of headers that jet hot had done for them was flaking. At the time he told me of two other companies that do coatings, one of which has yet to flake. If I get the name I will post it.

Try to find a Mig with Tig, Just be sure to get one with the foot pedal.(20/20 hindsight)
