  1. Just ordered the TTT 300mm Big Front Brake Kit, Anyone have any ideas as to what wheels fit without spacers. Would prefer 15's over 16's and without fender flares. Thanks for the help
  2. I have several things for sale I have removed from my Z over the years. Everything is located in New Jersey and mostly negotiable (I'm not up to date on most of these prices so here's what would make me happy). Weber 32/36 DGV carburetors with E88 manifolds, balance tube and linkage that should be complete. These could probably stand to be rebuilt but did run when I took them off ~2 months ago to install triples. $250 Unused Cannon triple Weber DCOE manifold with linkage and carburetor mounting/insulation kits: $250 sale pending Old Canon exhaust manifold. My research tells me it is a Canon manifold which haven't been produced in some time. Comes with a collector to a 2.5" exhaust: $150 Four Eagle Alloy wheels. My last measurement put them at 7.5" wide with 4x114.3 and 4x100 patterns. All of the tires pictured with these are 225/50R15. Two of the tires are badly scalloped although the other two are Toyo Proxes4 and in decent shape. The tires can be dismounted and discarded if desired, I don't expect anything for them. $200 240Z master brake cylinder. Came off my '72. No leaks or bleeding between seals when it was removed around May. I went with a 15/16th's cylinder for bigger brakes: $50 240Z distributor with a Pertronix electric ignition conversion box and 3 year old NGK plug wires. Upgraded to a 123 Ignition unit: $75 Finally, the pièce de résistance, one fabulous aftermarket 'Z' steering wheel. I don't know a thing about this other than it will bolt right in place of a factory steering wheel and use the original horn contacts. It was the first thing I took off my car so a $20 bill would thrill me: $20 SOLD

  4. Hey guys, Recently got an 71’ s30 and was wondering has anyone done a square set up of 15x9 -15mm offset with fender flares. Would love to see how they work out with the flares. Searched through the forums and didn’t really find anything. Thanks
  5. Just got myself a 280z after a year of searching. There are a couple things that it needs, one of which is wheels and tires. The car is stock as far as I know and can tell. I would like to have it as a daily driver not really going to be tracking or racing it. What is the best tire size I can fit onto the car without needing to make any modifications?
  6. Hey everyone. In the market for a set of 4 Longchamps for my Z. 15" is cool, 16" would be even better hit me up if you have or know of someone/ someplace Lookin for 9 front 10 rear and a nice mean negative offset on them. Located in San Diego
  7. For anybody tired of using the clunky websites to calculate new versus old tire sizes, widths, and heights, I found this handy Excel Spreadsheet. The grey boxes are all drop downs. It allows you to compare two new tire/wheel combinations to an existing setup and shows what the differences will be in inches for height/diameter/radius. The difference for the backside and frontside of the new wheels is in millimeters and inches +/-. https://www.dropbox.com/s/76fr1golryz6wtt/Tire-Wheel%20Calculator.xls?dl=0

  10. Thinking of getting 14-16 inch wheels + decent tires for my 280zx. Must be local (Bay Area, California) and willing to drive to you. Please post pics and your price. Thank you
  11. Does anyone recognize these wheels? They came on this lovely 76 280.
  12. Hey im bored, so here are some pics of my current project. T3 Coilovers, XXR 531's 16x9, 245/45r16 Toyo Proxes TR1 all the way around, Rear fenders rolled. Enjoy
  13. hey guys I currently have a stock 76 280Z and i was wondering if it would be possible to get 16x9 with a 15 offset on without the use of flares ( not a huge fan of flares ) im pretty sure i would need to get my fender rolled but i still need some more knowledge on this. If i could fit them what about tire sizes and etc ? Also i may lower the car with eibach springs in the next couple of months will i still be good without the flares then ? thank you for any help
  14. I am currently rebuilding/restoring a 1976 280z. I am located near Youngstown Ohio and would prefer large items to be within driving distance. Send me a message and we can discuss anything you may have. Items I'm looking for as follows: ZG flares Z432 rear spoiler or BRE Ground control coil-overs (280z) Camber Plates Toyota Front brakes vented or non-vented setups Rear Disc Conversion MSA 6-2 Headers (coated) MSA Twice pipes Fender Mirrors Rota RB stagger package wheels (black or gunmetal) Triple Carb setup (complete) Ignition Box Universal Fuse box and or Wiring Harness 5-Speed Transmission 280Z or ZX R200 LSD Flat top pistons (new not used) Cam (new not used)
  15. I have searched the internet and this forum and found no clues as to where I MIGHT find some Black (polished or unpolished lip would work) 16x9 and 16x9.5 Watanabe RS wheels. References on this forum to a "Takumi Project" have links to a long dead website. I contacted the guy selling Wats on eBay only to be told it will take 6 Months to get the 9.5s I am getting a full trim-off repaint and ZG flare install next month. I have my coilovers and adjustable struts ready. I DON'T want to spend five months with an otherwise great looking car and the american racing 14x7s that it came on Does ANYONE know where I could source a set of Watanabes in the above mentioned sizes in <2 months for <$3000 new (or even <$2000 great condition used)? Do I just have to give up, settle for Rota RKRs and enjoy a better 17" tire selection? Any tips are appreciated! Thanks!

  17. I am looking into purchasing a set of 16x8 Enkei Compe wheels for my 73 240z. If you have them on a S30 please post pictures of your car! The picture below is not my car but this is the only picture that I can find.
  18. I have been trying to learn the dang offsets for the different size wheels and widths for these s30's and cant seem to get rid of the headaches i get from trying to figure this all out. At first I thought the more negative you go, the further out it sticks, then a friend told me i was backwards, and now I have given up. I have zg flares on the way to the house, wont be installing them until I get rims and coilovers installed. I want to go ahead and get wheels now because one of my rims has a little dent in the edge causing a tiny little leak which makes me put air in the tire about every two weeks. But ANYWAYS, i hate stance, I love big lips on these s30s and I want a 255 on a 9 inch wide wheel. I want the widest footprint I can get, obviously for good handling, but little to no camber in the rear (about 1-2 degree max in rear and 2-3 degree max in the front). What offset do you guys think would be best? i can get some spacers to dial it in perfect when I get the wheel but 16x9's with zg flares with little to no extra camber...? attached pictures are of the stance i like
  19. hey if anyone knows where i can get some deep dish SSR MK III deep dish wheels i would be interested in buying them. Something like this, ive looked around havnt seen any for sale thanks for everyones help
  20. Just a heads up for some of you guys out there looking for some new wheel options. At SEMA SSR will debut the return of the Formula Mesh and Reverse Mesh wheel. As far as I know it is being released in a 19" and 16" size The 16"s will go all the way up to 10.5"-11" wide As far as options go they will receive the same treatment as other 3 piece wheels they carry so there is a lot of range of disk types, offsets, and lip sizes I will post more as soon as I get home, I forgot to bring all the info to work today. I would say this is a win for the Japanese Classic community as it gives us another option for flared or aggressively fitted Z's
  21. I had a chance to photograph Kevin Yeung’s extremely clean and well-executed 240z. I was an extremely excited to do this feature because I am working on a 240z of my own. Don't forget to checkout my facebook page www.facebook.com/rodneytyphotography On to the pictures: Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Kevin's 240z by rodknee_ty2003, on Flickr Full Feature: http://www.canibeat.com/2013/08/a-devil-in-the-streets-kevin-yeungs-mean-datsun-z/
  22. Newb here. Building a 260z and would like to run the stock fenders with no flares. I like the look of the XXR 527 16x8.25 +0 but cannot find anyone running them. Does anyone have any experience with these wheels (quality? they are relatively inexpensive) or knowledge of rubbing / fitment? Thanks all.
  23. I know it is a long shot.... But does anyone have a center-cap for an '81 turbo "snowflake" wheel? I just need one right now, but I would be willing to buy a whole set for a decent price. Only interested in decent looking ones that will still snap into the wheel (i.e. still has the majority of the fingers). Thanks!
