very nice, i keep telling the guys at work(all V8 guys) the potential of the rb motors but they think im messin with them,. I have played the 9 flat vids for them and they are impressed i think this vid will blow em away congrats

well as the title says it is, Here is the story: My sister moved to flordia renting her house to an ex brother in law trying to help the fat jerk out. He lived there for three years not paying rent the whole time. I am not sure why anyone would let anyone stay in their house and not pay rent for three years but anyway back to the story. I was talking with my sister about her car she had an 85 grand prix le you know the big ones rwd, full framed cars. She had told me that dave(the guy living in the house) had been asking about the car telling her it was junk cuz the floor boards were rotted out and wanted to junk it for her. I told her not to and that i would fix the car since it was destined to be my 13yr old nieces car. She told me she had called him to let him know i was coming to get the car and that i could have a snowmobile they left there too. I went to pick up the sled and noticed the car was gone!! I was pissed i went to the house and asked where the car was? He told me that it was in the garage, i told him it was not cuz i had looked thru the window. He then told me that the engine and trans was in there cuz when he pulled the car out for me the car broke in half. I called him a liar and he changed his story saying that the rear axle broke and then showed me the marks in the mud where the rear wheel was dragging. I called him a liar again and told him the car was an automatic and needed to have the key to shift it out of park so they dragged it in park making the marks. I then asked where it was and he told me the bone yard, i asked who took the car and he told me he didnt know. I was so mad i called the cops and asked them to come out so i could file a report. I waited for an hour then i finally got a call from a state trooper and explained the story to him. He then told me there was nothing i could do because the car was on his property and he can have it removed. I told him the car was stolen because no one gave him athority to do it, he said he has the right to. I was so mad i hung up with him and called a buddy that was a cop he told me that the proper way to remove anything on the property that is not the owner/renters is to call the police and have them check to see if it is stolen and then have a towing company impound it. I told this to the state trooper and he told me that there was still nothing i could do except for take him to small claims court. I asked to list the car as stolen so it could not be scrapped or relisenced, he refused to since to him the car was not stolen. I then got a hold of the local cop and told the story he didn't want to help either and told me some time later the prosecuting attorney will not bring up charges on the situation. Well finally the guy gave me the engine and trans that is suppose to be from the car and i have a friend that knows the family that says the car is at the scrap yard now. Ive been running around in circles for about two months with this crap and the car is probably in the scrap yard now torn to heck. Im gonna call the yard tomorrow and see if the car is there. So if anyone wants to steal a car come to huron county in michigan i've found a loop hole:D

here is what i made i chiseled off the old ones and welded it on to plates in the pics u can kinda see where i redrilled the stock z cross member to use the rb tranny mount. My 280 had a kinda frame that ran from one side up over to the other side that the mount was originally welded to.

dont make the hole bigger all the cranks are the same they can be used for either manual or auto that bushing doesnt slide in it gets tapped in with a hammer and a piece of wood or a soft surface hammer.

the bearing is tapped into place, i have never seen one without the flywheel on but it looks like that part sticking out needs to come out in order for your bearing to fit.

i used a flat chisel and a hammer on mine making a score down the inside of it and then just kept taking a bit more off each time til it got weak enuf or went thru the bearing then used a smaller chisel and bent the two sides in to kinda crush it then it came right out. But it does take time and as stated is a pain in the butt

i think racinitter(jason) was runnin higher than that when we ran at the track but i could be wrong. I never ran my stock turbo so i dont know but jitter ran his at the track and i coulda swore he told me he was boostin 15psi

i welded mine and it worked fine, no leaks

have you tried adjusting the afm? i had the same problems and it came down to a last desprite try and i took the cover off the adjusted the afm slowly one way then back the other way and it cleared up my issues. You are right the 76 efi does not have a cps it just senses a pulse from the coil i actually used the efi from my 76 280 on my mazda b2000 4 cyl engine and it ran like a top. In all honesty u can use that efi on anything with a single coil pulse and make it run good.

very nice man you have hella talent. nice to have you as an addition to the hybridz family. I think the fenders will look nice after they are finished, not sure if i will like the dash or not until its finished. I do love the z dash tho and wouldn't change mine unless i had to. Wish i had a garage and specially one with a rotissurie(sp?) that is too sweet

the haltech hooks in with a wide band so it should display everything for me but it's good to hear u have one i'll prolly be callin once i get mine with a few questions Oh yea i was wondering if you could send the stuff to my work addy that way someone is there to accept them. I can give you the addy if you didn't keep the boxes i sent.

I was talking with jeff from down here in daytona and i made up my mind next year i am skipping bike week and going to the z meet in GA Jeffs a very nice guy, had a very clean z i didn't know he lived so close to my moms I wish i could make it this year but with the car in the condition it is now i dont wanna rush it and screw something up. Also do you have a wide band o2 sensor? I was am plannin on getting one this year to assist in my tuning since like you i do it myself

thats not bad for a first tune and done by you, when you get more time with it you will get her tuned better. The good thing is that you got her running and you got a base line. I'm glad u got everything runnin, i was wondering how the dyno run went. I am curious what size tubing does your ic have? I see that the tb is around a 3 to 3.5" and the ic piping is much smaller. Also is the ic piping the same size as the compressor outlet? I am impressed with the tq numbers and it goes to show she does have alot more in her. When you going back to the dyno?

got mine from nagaska motors price was good engine was great except something fell on the intake during shipping. I didn't care since i was gonna make my own intake for it anyway. Hey triple whatcha doing with that intake? still got it?
