i'll be a pro after the sonoma but i might have one other guy interested in a rb30 block, mike the guy who had the gtr sold it finally and is looking to get an s14 and drop something into it. He is talking 2jz but i told him the range of how much the rb's will be and he is interested. Also can you look into the heads like jitter asked? Id be interested in a rb25 head for the sonoma swap. I figure i have alot of time before the sonoma gets an rb so if anyone else knows where i can get an rb head pm me or reply
-
hey raff, as long as i know about when you would need payment i am interested in another rb30 the sonoma needs a little boost too

big hp and tq can be made with an l28et with minor mods, i was making some good power with the stock bottom end and bigger turbo and injs. I love my rb25 tho and i would not go back to an l28 even if someone paid me. The rb is so much smoother and imo more torque. i get a huge smile on my face when the rb spools up and breaks the tires loose in three gears

they stretched pick ups of all models and years as well as build custom trailors for semis. They built the bully dog truck a few years back that truck got alot of press. we built the truck for duberti designs that was in a ton of magazines it was the huge f650 six door with the doorsbeing lambo style. we built the truck but we didn't do the customizing. we just finished the truck for jack links jerkey they sent up a bunch of jerkey lol i wasmunchin on some today, then i realized it was friday......lol

Sparks, I asked the fabricators and they think it would be no problem to do it just have to get the blessing from the boss, of course the frame would have to be extended but they said that is easy they have done so many frame extentions it's rediculous and then they would need a junk cab to cut up. now if you want a custom A/V system i can hook u up too lol
-
the trucks are built to order and alot of the times we only put in what is asked. Sparks the best thing to do is contact our shop and talk to nick his number is on the website. We can do it but it wont be cheap and nick is the one who says yes or no. We just finished an international not too long ago it was one of those big 4wd ones they use for electric companies. I'll dig around and see if we have a pic. We also turned a international semi into a crew cab and took the sleeper off of it, it was a farm truck. Some of the trucks we build dont go out all pimped they are just a normal looking truck inside.

forgot to mention we are working on a kit that has more detail on the back bumper and to get the rear wheel arch lower so it looks more proportionate. Its funny how many ppl talk crap but none has even come close to building anything like this. There is a ton of work in everything since it is all custom.
-
i dont care what ppl say i do like that truck and actually it gets 17mpg i think that is compareable to a full size diesel pick up isn't it? and sparks we can stretch anything
-
thanks guys, and jitter i know what ur saying i asked my boss and we put money into this truck as well (sponsor) so we are able to take pics and all that. I do hope ford likes it as well as kicker i worked my butt off on this thing and my knees are paying the price, they felt like soft balls yesterday. i think the show is already underway in chicago so im sure there will be a ton of pics of it pretty soon. I just found out we are making a truck for jack links the jerky company not sure if its gonna be a stocker or something special but either way it's cool to be building them for big companies.
-
god i wish i did bill, I have always wanted to work for kicker but i doubt i am good enough. I work for alton truck manufacturing, here is our web site http://www.altonco.com . I delt with roger over there he is head of marketing, very nice guy i told him what i wanted he sent it no questions asked. He even appointed me a tech if i needed help with anything. Our kicker rep scott freeburg helped us get in touch with the right people after i asked him about it. The truck could have been sponsored by optima but they needed more turn around time to get us batteries. We are however making another one just for our company for shows and test drives so i plan to get a ton of companies involved in it.

umm not sure if ford will but we sell them to private parties all the time they just come in tell us what they want and drop us a check and we build it

seeing your car rob just makes me smile -
beautiful!!!! man i cant wait to build mine i love seeing wheelies specially ones done with an rb
-
yea just a z31 wheel i beleive it's the turbo one. I had to make the center hole round it's about 3/4 round stock. It only has two holes where as you can see in the z32 wheel it has three so i added one, just marked and drilled the new hole and then filed the one hole to make it fit. I wish i got pics while it was apart but i really wasn't sure it would work
-
got more pics, and the modified cas works great!!! i got it to actually tune right and run like a dream, dispite the broken piston Took it for a ride today and man does that thing haul butt. I had to modify the mounting tabs on the "stator" as i am calling it to move it farther from the stock location to accomodate the z31 wheel. The z31 wheel is bigger than both the z32 and rb trigger wheels so i had to make everything "fit" i had to use the main shaft from the z32 cas and the stator and housing from the rb. Kinda a frankenstein'd it but man it makes a huge difference. here is another pic of the puller i made and it does work on the rb cas as well as the z32 cas here is the finished product along with the wheels from the rb25 and the z32 z32 on the left rb25 in the center and another finished pic so all in all the cam sensors of the rb and the z32 can be taken apart in one piece. I would suggest that if you were going to use one use the ones with the plastic plug in the front cover they have screws in the main shaft so you dont have to use vise grips to get the wheel out sorry my pics suck i didn't think to get many when i was building it.

i might be able to help but i need to know what u have and haven't done. I have an e6k on my z first it was hooked to my l28et now it's on my rb25 soon to be rb30det. I messed with mine alot and tuned it without a wideband sensor. I should and will do it with my new engine but mine ran great just by the seat of the pants tuning if you want pm me or i can try and help on this topic too
-
yea they are a lil blurred my cam doesn't take good close ups, i can get some more. I did end up getting the rb25 cas apart too that one sucks but it is possible to do it and swap the wheel. I'll get pics of that too and you know i have had a few ppl call me mcguyver lol. i am plannin on gettin the wheel prolly tomorrow or maybe even tonight, more pics to come

well after many headaches with the stock trigger wheel with my haltech e6k i'm replacing it with a z31 wheel. I saw on one web page which cas to look for and i had one from a z32 tt on my rb25. The z32 cas does work on the rb engines, the plug is different but all i did was break off the plug part on the sensor. The blades are wider on the z32 cas and it makes the plug stay on, i drove it with it this way for over 2k miles. Anyway i dug into it today and here is what i did for those interested in changing the wheel. I took the three screws out of the housing, in the z32 cas it has tamper proof screws. I used a flat blade screw driver and pushed down really hard to get them out, all came out no prob. After that the drive needs to be taken out it's pretty simple just use a punch and knock it out. The drive will slide off and give access to the bearing beneith. I broke off the half moon keyway on the end since i dont have to have it with the haltech and it would be next to impossible to get the bearing off with it on. I looked around for something to pull the bearing off since trying to use a vise is very harsh . I found a beam clamp (used for hanging plumbing and conduit from metal I beams) and cut the bottom center out to go around the shaft and under the bearing. here is a pic and one of it after pullin the bearing to get the rest apart you have to take and drill the plastic plug in the opposite side of the cas like this( i used a 1/2 inch drill but a smaller one would look a little nicer) then use a punch and knock out the shaft here is a pic of it disassembled once i get the z31 wheel out of my old dizzy from the l28 i'll be putting it in and i'll get pics. I coulda got a few more pics to make it a little easier to follow but i got in a hurry and forgot i had the camera.....doh i just figured i'd post what i did to help any others looking to change theirs out, I looked around and couldn't find anything on it.
