But you did notice that there is a couple six's higher than most V8's. I have to say that i know a l6 wouldn't get to the top and if it did it would be one hell of a car.Nothing against V8's just V8's with nos to equal a real engine like the l28et

well guys it kinda started over the winter but now that i have my car done andy and i have done alot for the who's faster thing this year.But as soon as he gets that big old heavy V8 finished we shall find out. When we make the runs this year i'll have a friend taping it with a video camera and a mpeg camera to be able to show the winner(me ) so everyone can see who the loser is(andy )

lockjaw he has basically the same set up as me.I think if he adjusts the afm more he will get better results.He has the stock turbo injectors so it shouldn't be hard to adjust it to run right.

i was thinking about the ic, timz has his old one that he'd sell me when he gets a new one so i'll have to wait for that. I still have the big volvo one and it is doing a great job actually an unbelieveable job.But it is very fun and i have to put the heat shield back in i think it's mostly from the heat from the manifold that is making it really hot.The wrap did a great job but it has been super hot this past week and a half so it's good to know what it's limits are when it's hot.I definately need bigger tires traction sucks now but i kinda like sliding around :DThe car even scared my friend i let drive it.He even has a ninja motorcycle and he said it scared the $hit out of him At least i know i have done a good job if it scares people

wel guys i got it to 20 and it detonates but i haven't even touched the timing yet maybe if i retard it a bit it'll handle the boost or do you think i should just stay with 18psi?

it's only at about 18 now i have to make the resrtictor hole smaller for more boost but man it hauls and it actually scares me Third gear is unreal and it just keeps pulling like crazy till redline.I plan to make the hole smaller really soon and run 20 psi if it'll handle it but just at 18 it is very nice and i don't know if i want much more for now.The tires are catching hell now.I did a second gear burn out from a stand still and it just kept smoking them all the way till redline too.I plan to get the new BOV this week and it'll be on and i'll be scaring other ppl too

ok guys have the wrap on and it helps ALOT i can actually put my hand on the intake without screaming Well unless i feel like screaming BUt it does help alot especially on the turbo it make the ic pipe coming from the turbo MUCH cooler and i changed the oil and turned the boost up sofar it will only hit 16 or so but man does it haul a$$ i have to mess with it tomorrow to find out why it's not hitting 20psi maybe the hose is crimped somewhere and stopping me from the potential it's capable of.But as it is now at 16 psi it will break the tires loose bad in first and second before it would just slide a little now it squeals and just slamms to the side a real fun ride I love the new turbo

well i got a roll for 25 bucks today i guess if it rots out then i'll just have to make a turbo header Thanks for the heads up scottie maybe i can do something to release the moisture.....

does the wrap melt on the regular steel scottie?I just want to get the temps down and i have evry limited space for heat sheilds.I was thinking a hood vent/scoop or something like that but i like the smooth look with out the vents.Anyone else got any ideas?

thanks guys i don't have alot of room for a heat sheild plus i like being able to see the exhaust manifold so if i have to take it off it's easier to get to the bolts.I'm gonna get some of that wrap either today or tomorrow cuz this weekend is dedicated to my z I'm gonna change the oil hook up the boost controller and wrap the manifold.Then i'll turn the boost up and see what she'll do.

well i don't have the bottom heat shield on my intake and it seems to get hot but i can't remember if it's normal or not to get that hot.Also i'm planning on getting the header wrap stuff will that help me alot acting as a heat shield?

yep just like in the one pic but in the other one the motor is sold seperately I just like to get something that is good but not expensive.The only thing that will have to be done to these rails when you get them is seal the fittings on the rail with teflon tape or paste.But the fittings will all be on and i still have to have him fab a bracket right now i'm not running anything cuz the hoses are so rigid they hold the rail in the right place making it look nicer in my opinion.If you are interested in a bracket then it might be more to make one but if not then it should be right around 70 bucks.(i'll have to see what a bracket will cost to make)

james your lucky you got to drive that beautiful car I wouldn't even if tim did offer i wouldn't want to even think about messing that car up.I just love his car i too stare at the engine and think only if i had money Hey tim i plan to come down soon we should meet up and you can see the car now it does haul a$$ and your old clutch is perfect but it does chatter in my car too i just learned how to take off and it's fine.The radiator keeps it way cool like a quarter what it use to be.... My gauge use to read 1/2 all the time now it reads 1/4 and it look really nice in there Thanks again tim

I talked to him today and i'm gonna get him to make a few more so if any hybridz guys want one i'll have some.I might be able to get the price down too like around 70 bucks each(i think) he has to get back to me about the price of the materials and then i can give a definate number but i'm gonna have to say right around 70 or so plus shipping.I'll have more info soon.

ok guys i asked and he said $225 for the set and they will be fit onto a first gen seat to amke sure a great fit.I don't know if it's too much or not but if you guys are still interested let me know and i can set it up also i will need to know seat colors.They are vinal not cloth or leather.

ya lockjaw it does have some bad traction issues but i didn't build it to be fast really just last along time.I can burn the tires very easily and it will haul anything and it doesn't even struggle to do it either.But you guys are right if we can make hybridz then that's why he's asking us the questions he is.

well i have to say that i turbocharged my mazda B2000 and put it on here i was excited and no one bashed me.And for the manifold just get the one from the saab the turbo came off of and cut the flange off and weld it to your manifold you have now it's what i did on the b2000 and it worked great.I since then kinda killed the engine with 10psi of boost and had to put in a l28 so now the mazda is a legit half z

Thanks, he might do another kit in different colors but i'd have to ask and how much it would be to do it.It took him a while cuz he had alot to do.But he did do a great job, they are much different in the bottoms than the originals.I think i'm gonna have him do my doors too he still owes me so the interior should be all hooked up soon. The seats are the best thing inside now i have to catch the rest of the car up to them

oh i forgot to put on the other post that i'm repainting the car orange really soon.I have a friend who owes mw a favor so he said he's shoot it for me i just have to help with the body work.That will be hopefully done by the end of this month.It'll be about that color orange maybe a bit brighter.

lol that was great i wish some one would race me i never get any races anymore i guess they are just scared..... i asked a kid with a mark 8 to race yesterday but he said no way you'd smoke me.It was a 94 very nice car daddy and mommy bought for him.Seems like the only races that will even come close to be taking place are the street bikes but then it's a little hard to race them.
