  1. i think just the cost of the material maybe a slight bit more but it should be alot less that 150...... I'll ask how much the stock is gonna cost.

  4. tim has a t60 turbo on his car and it's huge he was running 25 psi when i rode in it and it pinned my head to the seat i couldn't even turn it straight when i wanted to look forward again.I love his car it's so nice. I hit high 12's with the stock turbo so you should get alot better when you hook.I can't wait till this weekend i plan to make a few passes with my new turbo at 10 psi then turn it up to 20 and make a few passes.I'll post the results
  5. i dunno about a web page and he's never taken it to the track.But he has taken me for a ride last year and man does it fly... it's the fastest thing i have ever ridden in, and a total sleeper you'd never think it's that fast by just looking at it untill he opens his hood.I have some pics of his car from the nissan show very clean and nice.
  6. hey jt i have a hybrid turbo but it's a t4e and i didn't use a spacer.I actually took off some of the metal on the exhaust manifold and it fits fine...i had to mod the heat shield but so far it's fine.You could have ran 14 psi with the stock turbo i had mine upto 18 psi,i know that 14 psi on a stock turbo is way different than a t4.On mine i had to get a custom piece for the afm to hook it up and the ic pipes i run are 2.5" and it's the same size as the compresor outlet.If you want to hook it to the afm and turbo i suggest going to the hardware store and look in the plumbing section(wish i would have before i bought my adapter)they have rubber pieces that are perfect.I'd just use the same size ic pipes as the turbo outlet but if they are smaller or bigger just get a good rubber hose and it should strech.this is just my opinion thouht i'd try to help hope it does
  7. hey guys the clutch is from timz he had it on his car when it was getting the big dyno numbers.He got a new one cuz this one chatters but i don't care.So far it has worked ok for me no chatter yet.The turbo is a t3/t4e hybrid with a 70ar on the compressor side and the stock 63 ar on the exhaust turbine side it is also clipped 11 degrees.As for the wheel size i couldn't tell you. The bov i am getting for free is a first gen eclipse one for now then if i like it i'll keep it if not i'll get what ever is nice and in my price range.She's still running rich so i have to find a way to deal with that but it's not too bad.I didn't use a spacer either on the turbo i ground enuf of the exhaust housing out for a heat sheild to fit and it works fine and i can use the dp i got from scottie Now i look for reasons to drive somewhere so i can get some driving time in.So far i have 20 miles on the new engine i have to take the plugs out soon and check them over but that's about it.Now it's out i can't even get a race they must be still scared from last year i did hear lots of reving when my car was being put together but now i can't even find the little punk in the yellow stang.But his number is comin really soon and i'll even leave it at 8psi of boost just to make it interesting.

I'm just in aw on the power this engine and turbo have even at 7-8psi(it's what it runs with the line just ran to the actuator)I can't wait to turn it up and the response is just unbelieveable.Glad i got talked into swapping the exhaust housings it spools just as fast if not faster than the stock turbo and it hits hard.I finally have it legal and it runs very cool usually it ran at 1/2 now it runs at 1/4 on the stick gauge.I only have one seat in the car and it's the passenger seat bolted to the driver's side so i can drive it to work and stuff.I am suppose to have the seats tomorrow well at least one is suppose to be done(i hope).I haven't even taken it over 4k yet i'm scared to and it has so much power up to it i have been scared to anyway.I'm really glad the seat is bolted down now on the road it is a hell of a ride.Just have to save the money for ross's adapters and swap the cv's and other rear in it. The clutch i got from TimZ is a touchy one it's either all or nothing so i have to get use to it but it engages nice and hard when you want it to.I almost even had a race but i had to back off didn't want the poor little camaro to look too bad plus i was being nice to it to break it in properly.He did stay way back after he heard it spool up(it's much louder now)I just need a bov now and i'll be all set.I finally got it to idle right and not to stall after i let off the gas while coming upto a stop sign.I have to say i LOVE my Z

  10. well the only prob i have about the BOV idea is that i don't have one yet.I have the hole that is in the tb capped right now.I was thinking maybe it could be from maybe a leak in the boot from the afm to the turbo sound aboout right?And tony it idles actually really good with those injectors i like them at idle my a/f mixture is just about right so far i didn't have it running really long so i don't know if the o2 sensor got warm enuf to get it to work right.The 02 sensor is new so i know it's good i had to replace it last year cuz the old one destroyed it's self when i tried to take it out for the new dp.Hey mak i can imagine they weren't happy with the engine revving my neighbors hate spot(mazda)Cuz with out the thermotime switch it's a bugger to start in the morning i have to floor it and it will finally start and it's loud too. But today i'm gonna bug the shop for my seats so i can keep my foot on the pedal also i'm gonna see about getting it legal so i can break it in and not get pulled over.

LOL that's too funny mak i actually drove it today and man does it have some power for 7psi.I could only get it to go for a bit cuz the first ride it spooled up and the a big pshhhhhhh and the car almost died I was almost crapping my pants i didn't want it to be messed up.So i shut it off and opened the hood to fine the crappy ic pipe i made had blown apart at the rubber connection So i just put it back together and tightened it more and was back on my way back to the house.But now i have an even bigger problem it won't go as soon as it spools up it will start to haul a$$ and then it will just stop like i was falling backwards cuz the seat wasn't bolted down Oh wait that's exactly what it happening i don't have the seats back from the shop yet and i had to use one of the seats i had laying around for the 1600 an it doesn't bolt up so i just kept falling back and my foot kept coming off the gas But it runs great i have to find out why after i give it gas and then let off like to stop while driving it will stall any suggestions?

Thanks guys and cody that is one bad a$$ looking zx, any mods doone to it?I plan to actually drive it today up and down the road a few times(no insurance or valid plates)i can't go far cuz the po-po will get me.Plus i want to see how much it has with like 5-7psi of boost.I didn't even hook up my dial a boost i don't even want to be tempted to turn up the boost.
  13. i started it today and man what a beautiful sound At first it wouldn't start it would just pop so i figured it had timing probs so i checked and sure enuf it was 180 degrees off so i turned the dist and vaaarrrroooommmm started right up i didn't have the idle set high enuf so i had to hold the gas but man i had a woody for the rest of the day Tomorrow all i have to do is just put on about 8 hose clamps and add water and she will be good to go.I can't wait to take it for a ride.Here is a pic the ic pipe going to the ic from the turbo is a temp cuz i need something to get it to the shop to make another. www.zdriver.com/rides/showpic.php?name=scottyMizt_1022982771.jpg
  14. yep i finally got my engine in today i still have alot to do but at least the hard part is done.I'll try to get pics tomorrow and post some.It should be running really soon all i really need to make it run is the ic pipes made.I have everything else to make it run now.Hey tony i got that TB on and i made it work with the stock linkage and tps with out changing the wires in the plug.It looks really nice now i took it all apart and polished everything inside and then ported the intake and polished it too looks very nice i'l get a pic just for you i just have to finish two runners to the cylinders and then the intake is all done.
  15. congrats z ferrari i remember when i hit 13's i was so excited then when i got that high 12 i just about crapped my pants:) You'll get it soon but the bad part is that your never satisfied i'm not that's why i got the new turbo and all the other mods.I have to go faster

Tim sold me a bunch of parts i needed to get mine done and i'd just like to thank him for being so nice and giving me such a good deal.OK that said you guys should see the car now that he has the fender flairs on. Man it looks good and the shop did a VERY nice job.They even took the time to make the inside of the fender where the two pieces meet feel like one.I was very impressed(tim's car always impresses me ) and the paint was great he just has to get the interior in and his car will be all set again i think.Unless there is more you have to do tim but i think your car is god I wanna be like timz when i grow up guys Just seeing his beautiful z makes me work harder to get more.And no this isn't a butt kissing session cuz he sold me the parts for a good price i'm just speaking the truth.

I plan to weigh mine as soon as i get it going.The farmers here said they would let me use their grain scales for free to weigh my car so i'm gonna when i get the chance.1976 280z with out bumpers and hardware,aero body kit,and everything else is basically stock but i am gonna change rears and put in the cv's.I want to see how heavy it is with the new turbo and all that psi of boost Seariously tho it should be close to the stock weight i think.

  20. thanks tony, ya i'll let you know when they get here and i plan to take alot of pics to show it off now that it will look nice and not stock Can't wait now i'll get the needed parts tomorrow and hopefully have the car running by the end of next weekend if i don't run into any problems.Have so many projects and so little time but all the projects i'm working on now are money makers

  24. Timz is very close to the 500hp mark and he has a L28.If he is looking around he should post something to help.It does take alot of money to do it "right" but i suppose with the right parts and know-how you could do it for cheap.
