Those red porsche seats would look good depending on what color you paint your car. The new celica seats look very nice. You can get them a lot cheaper than corbeaus or recaros. I would have used the celica seats in my car but came up on some crx seats made by recaro. They recline and are very supportive.
I agree 100% with Pete. If the mandrel bend does change cross sectional area it will be negligable. I can see using pie cuts for smaller angles but I think the less welds the better. A more continuous pipe looks better to me and there is less chance for flow to be disrupted at a transition.
If you want to do the pie cuts though, I would say go for it. You probably won't notice any difference on the seat of the pants dyno.
I would go with a performance clutch so you won't have to worry about doing it again. I am running an ACT clutch and 2+2 flywheel with basically the same setup as you. Haven't had any slipping problems but I haven't taken it to the track yet. Look into Exedy also. It may be a little bit cheaper. The clutch disc I got from ACT is an Exedy unit.
You have to use the turbo flywheel to use the turbo clutch. It's 240mm vs 225mm. I've never used a lightweight flywheel but I don't think it's worth it for a stock L28.
That is actually not my car in the avatar. I have a black 71 240z that I would like to look like the one in the pic I'll try and post some pictures of that black car later.
I saw that add last week. Thought it was a cool little car but the price was too high. This months Zoom has a rotary powered corolla that can run in the 10s
I considered swapping a 3SGTE into my 4th gen celica. They are pretty tough engines. The japanese touring car supras are running these engines and not the 2jz. I decided a S13 silvia would be a much better platform for a project car than the celica though.
I was able to lift the wing up a little bit to take a look underneath. Looks like there is some surface rust but nothing major. So my best bet is to take a die grinder to it?
I have a huge fiberglass whale tail on my car that i've been wanting to take off for a while now. I opened up the panel on the hatch and didn't see any rivets or screws. Looks like its just bonded on. Right now it's halfway off and it's only held on along the bottom edge of the window. Can I cut the tail off with a dremel and grind down the rest of the glue and remaining fiberglass?
