  1. Just a piece of foam weather stripping available in 10 foot lengths at the parts store, wrapped around (with the glue side down obviously) the gauge just behind the bezel lip, then slide it in, twisting (corkscrew style) into the hole. Worked well for the large and small gauges on mine. Tim
  2. I'll copy this post to the announcement section.
  3. I have sent dan some $$$. Just about all of the shirts and caps have been sold. I did not take any funds to cover my expenses as I had said I would, as my contribution to the site:
  4. OK, so lets say I need an 8 inch wide rim, with 5 inches of back spacing, is my calculation correct that the offset would be +1 inch, or +25.4mm? That sounds right to me.
  5. I am running coil overs and tokikos (280Z rear strut tubes and 240 front). What is the ideal size (length, ID/OD) and is urethane or rubber better? Tim
  6. I believe that it is considered an explosive. There would be packaging and labeling requirements, and restrictions on air transport. I will have to look in my Copy of 49CFR at work tomorrow. Tim
  7. You'll need two sets of axles.
  8. Bryan, Yup...just a bead of silicone, let it set up for about an hour, then slap it together. if you have a gasket already, might as well use it... Tim
  9. Mounts from a 69 to 72 Chevy truck w/SBC. If you want to give the parts counter something specific to look up, I used ones that I had bought for my 71 Cheyenne 20 3/4 ton with 350/350.
  10. Is there a PCM editting solution for the LS1 yet?
  11. If you can wait until the weekend, I'll help you out....NC. You know, I've never used a gasket on a L6 oil pan. I've pulled and replaced about 5 or 6 of them and NEVER had a leak on any of them....just food for thought. Tim
  12. Did you open the bleeder on the wheel cylinders and collapse them? I suppose you could always grind a little off the mating tabs? Tim
  13. This is better: Looks good. Making your own mounts?
  14. Are they the same size (port wise)? I have 4.3 long block and am going to HiPo build my spare SBC and am thinking of using the LT1 intake, converting it to distributor, and running FI with Megaquirt/spark. Don't know what I'l put it in to, but what the heck.... maybe my truck?..... Tim
  15. John.....for once, I disagree with your comments: From my reading: From GrapeApe Racing: http://www.grapeaperacing.com/GrapeApeRacing/tech/coolingmods.cfm
  16. Sounds like too much fuel....maybe a leaky injector(s)?
  17. If you are carefull about what you buy (bargain hunt), you should be able to do it and do it correctly. You should be able to get 450hp without opening the motor. Tim
