  1. I have pulled both vehicles out of the garage (Z and GT) and pulled everything off the open stud walls (nails, shelves etc etc). I will be drywalling it and organizing everything with hanging tray/bins and peg board etc. anyways, I have a bunch of stuff which I will be taking to the scrap yard next weekend....unless someone wants to come by and grab it. I have: L24 240Z driveshaft and 2 sideshafts R180 Mustache bar various interior panels 240Z gauges and misc. interior trim pieces All the other pieces that came OEM that I didn't use due to customizing I don't want to ship, so come one, come all and git it...
  2. I have always used white lithium grease. I cannot endorse it as not damaging the poly, but I have never seen any detrimental effects
  3. Have you tried contacting the spring manuafacturer?
  4. Also, radiator mounts from a 1979 et al BMW 320 (or other 3 series, I would think) will also work. they are just like the ones that John referred to above, but can be gotten from a local parts store or JY
  5. Damn Terry!! That is about 3 million bucks worth of home here at the Coast!!!
  6. Man up dude.....this is the internet, don't take things to heart. Otherwise, I agree with Hat.....enough.....back to the original topic please
  7. Yup.....one of the main reasons we decided to do an addition instead of buy another place. Up to the point of the addition, we were only paying taxes on $280k......didn't want to bump that up to paying taxes on $800-900k That...and selling and buying a house means throwing away about $60k on realtor commissions!!
  8. Jon, Actually, that is what I thought, but when we completed our addition, they did not levy taxes on the new appraised value, but rather just on a portion of the new addition (not sure how that works), but it was definitely assessed on far less than the full appraised value.
  9. Good info Henry, thanks! We are locked into a 15 year mortgage, fixed at 5.25 APR....so we are happy and not going anywhere.....at the rate we are going, we will have it paid off in 12 years....
  10. Can't see it too well, and I am too lazy to upload more photos, but used regular diamond shape expanded mesh from Home Depot....I think they use it for a base to stucco houses....cheap, shiney and very easy to work with: I used some old OEM Z fuel line as a frame to attach the mesh to:
  11. Well done! This is one of the top 5 questions asked here, so there are lots of posts to read about it....

  15. I was running 245/45-16 Falkens, and although I could light them up at will, traction was very good. I could take off pretty hard if I feathered the clutch a bit (aka didn't dump it) with no wheelspin at all. My wheels are 16 x 8 Centerlines with 5" BS (requires coilovers) and no flares needed (these are F/S BTW). Tim
  16. I think a lot of them are donations or cars that folks just give up on and sell to the JY
  17. I was really impressed with my last appraisal, even though it was very conservative: paid $280k 6 years ago, appraised earlier this year for $805. we did put on a $200k addition (adding 930 sq.ft to the orig. 960 sq ft), but realistically, in this area, we could get $900k tomorrow without advertising on the 'market'......don't go by the appraised value for selling purposes.....talk to a realtor (a good one, with experience in your area). They will give you the realistic value in the current market (although the market has slowed drastically, it is still pretty vibrant)
  18. Having had my place appraised a few times for refinancing reasons over the past few years, this is my understanding: They look at 'comparable' homes with 1 mile of yours and see what they sold for. Then they look at the size of your house and general condition, lot size etc. If no homes have sold in your area over the past month or so, then they go by the median price in your area.....
  19. Please read all the rules and some of the posts in the site support forum....that will answer your questions.... moving this to site support....please post topics in correct forum...
