  2. Rufus, I don't get it. I see a duplicate of the picture, one in the post, and one in the avatar area. What's wrong?
  3. Let me know if you will make it all the way to the left coast. I live right by LA Airport....
  4. better choice in rims is the main reason. Z car OEM 4 lug PCD and off-set are tough to find decent rims..... Tim
  5. I have a complete Jag front and rear suspension sitting in my driveway...everytime I walk passed them, my mind starts to race and wander "What if....." but yes, very heavy. The front is also completely self contained.....4 bolts hold it to the jag chassis..... Tim
  6. A number of different guys have asked for these and I finally found the invoice. http://www.1speedway.com/ Be advised that this type of 'off-spec' stuff is not their mainstay, so lead times are long to get them made (4-6 weeks). 2.0090-046 - CV Half shaft, IRS - 12.437" 2.0090-046 - CV Half shaft, IRS - 12.937" Tim

  9. Here is one: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=98441 The tires are Falken Ziex 502s, Z rated, with about 200 miles on them, max!! Stainless bolt in valve stems, and not even a single blemish.....just like brand new. They are 16 x 8 with 5" backspace. Tim

    Welders

Controlling heat input to the panels is very important to avoid warping, which is more difficult with oxy-acet. Not saying that it can't be done, just takes more able welding skills. I have done it, but it takes a lot more time than MIG welding, but the weld seam can be made smaller. I too would recommend MIG over gas welding, just for the ease and time savings..... Tim
  11. I am running 16 x 8s with 245/45-16s. I have the Centerline Fluted Stars. Since I am changing to Ford 9" rear (the car has no drivetrain or rear end right now), I am likely gonna change rims anyways.....interested?
  12. Oh boy...that sounds like a recipe for disaster
  13. Why aren't they saving the survivors!!!! I guess the bystanders are still in shock
  14. This what I had in mind for the picture. Like I mentioned above, a picture of the whole car, a pic of the engine bay, and one other part of the car (interior, underside, rear lights, FMIC etc etc) and a short text piece with specs and interesting stuff......what say y'all? I just slapped the picture below together quickly...time would need to be spent sizing the smaller pics better etc.....
  15. Scam!! I would avoid it.....if it sounds too good to be true....the block alone is worth that.
  16. Low res for the competition and then who ever ends up putting this together ( I will volunteer if no one else is up for it) can get the hi res emailed to them?
  17. My suggestion, Since 2005 has already begun, lets plan for a 2006 calendar. We can run monthly competitions for "car of the month" and run it 2 months ahead (so we should be doing march now). Then in November, we compile a bunch of pictures (12 cars, with a full car picture and an engine bay insert and one other insert of the owners' favourite part of the car), and have them printed and bound into calendar form (photo on top fold and calendar on bottom fold) How would that be?
