  1. Thanks Guys...... I will give Dave a ring Mon. and see what he says about it. The 3:54, really at this point, shows no sighns of any problems, it's just that sinse I have it out and as a spare, I thought I would have it freshend up in case I wanted to use it with a 200R4 swap. thanks again joel
  2. I also filled out the helpers form, and would like to know where to get the passwoed from. I did not see any info stating where to retrive it from. Is there something I goofed up? or did not fill out properly??____HELP____ thanks joel
  3. So........ whats the verdict Donna? Is the jury still out, or have you made up your mind already??
  4. After I was to change the bearings, would there be anything special or critical to watch out for? I mean is it just that easy, press off/on, put back together and go? Other than changing out the ring and pinion, what parts are changed during whats considered to be a rebuild? This is a R200 LSD with the 10mm ring gear bolts. Thanks again for your help... joel
  5. Thanks for the input Pete. So I guess if I'm fairly good with my common sense, I could handle this task... Would changing the bearings be something the average wrencher could handle also? I've done all my own work on my Z, so I guess I'll go ahead and give this a shot, it's just that it seems intimidating talking about shimming and gearlash I hope if I run into a problem, you guys will be there to pick me up
  6. This is the 4 lug to 5 lug type I used for my 38mm offset wheels. I got them from a tunner shop here in Louisiana, that had them sent in from Calif. somewhere. They were $250.00
  7. Thanks fella's. Nice food for thought... Sounds like I don't have too big of a delima. I just wish I could get the most important question, to me, answered, the rebuild/refresh. I hate to think of sending this thing off to someone, rubbing his hands together, with a big smile, saying to himself, now that I have this thing here, in my shop, I can stiff him with no vasaline.. I guess what I'm after here is a refernce from someone who knows someone.. please......
  8. just take the nose flange off your current diff and put it on the LSD, if that was your question
  9. Thanks James, that's what I was after......
  10. This was the last response I received from him... "I will send pictures as soon as possible. The price for the 1.5"/T3 header is $800 and the 1.625"/TO4 header is $900. The header is currently in pre-production and finish prototyping. Hopefully by the end of October they will be ready to ship. Thanks for your inquiry!" I kinda thought it was just one of those teasers.....
  11. sorry, that last post went right over my head and I'm pretty tall too....
  12. I have a R200 3:7 LSD in my 260t right now with a 83zx5spd and I'm thinking on going to the 200R GN auto. Will it be a better set up to use my R200 3:54 LSD with the 200R than the 3:70, gearing wise? I don't know anything about the auto gearing. I drive this car everyday and I would like good street gearing / freeway. BTW, any good diff guys out there that would do me right on a refresh, (clutches, bearings, setup) on the 3:54 LSD.
  13. One time I had that problem on my 260 and it was due to a vacum hose un hooked from the clear plastic vacum tank. Those little shits have a major impact on your heat and aircon....
  14. Hi Sam Joel here just to the west of ya, "Lake Charles". Last year sometime, I spoke to Corky Bell and convinced him to dig through his archives and send me anything to do with the kit you just mentioned. He pakaged me up some of the original paperwork from his kits he used to sell. I read through it and still have it if you want it. He does still sell some of the peices and parts from what he told me "then". Send me a p/m and I'll get back with you......
  15. Thats not good Their has to still be a warrantee, right?
  16. I think you may need to use the straps from the EFI tank, from what I've read anyways......
  17. ??? Can anyone answer. Is this even possible, as I know very little about the W/B's mobility. I realize the sensor bung issue, but any other reason why this would'nt be possible? Thank You for the input.... joel
  18. This may be a silly request, but would it be way out there to ask if someone would have a W/B set up that could be loaned/rented out. If I had access to one to make a few wot runs to fine tune my Tec2 with confidence, thats all I think I'd need one for. I'd be willing to leave a fair deposit plus a users fee...
  19. WATCH OUT !!! My early 260 had 26 splines. I heard there was a odd ball out there and just my luck, I have one. I had bought the turbo flanges for the conversion, but they wouldn't work on my 260. I even took off a 280 flange off a parts car and it wouldn't slide on my 260.
  20. sorry for the delay on where I got the spacers. I will find out asap where the shop had them sent from. I do know it's in Cali. I'll try to have it by the weekend.. thanks joel
  21. I get 1/2" on the money James. Thats from the block surface to the edge of crank
