  1. Nah... heading West to meet up with TimZ. He is working down in Uvalde TX (6hr each way), doing some engineering/testing work for Ford Motor Co., and will be at their test track. I talked him into letting me drive over, and this Sunday, He will offer His vast Electromotive Tec3 knowledge, and together, we are going to finally put a proper tune on my Z. Beast part is, so far, it looks as though we will be doing the tuning on the track.... so no worries about traffic /police.... We can do all the wide open throttle runs we want..
  2. Thanks for the quick help Hoke! I guess I'll do exactly as you suggest. I hated the thought of dragging that ol POS rim and tire anyways. My tires still rub when I weigh the car down, as I've not cut the fender arches yet... I'm waiting on them magical BMFCF flares first...
  3. Did you remove the spring and ball? It's located on the right hand side toward the top of the case...
  4. Stoopid question I know, but I'm leaving in the a.m. for a long trip and I want to take a spare. Thing is, I have never tried, or heard if the stock steel Z spare will fit since I have AZC brakes front and rear. I really hate to have to pull the CCW's to try the fit of the stock wheel. Can anyone that knows for sure please chime in before tomorrow a.m.. I have never worried about a spare before, but now I'd like to toss one in the hatch if possible.... Sorry for the dumb question... I'm allowed one now and then, huh...
  5. Are the prices public some where? I seem to have missed that info if so... thanks Rob joel
  6. Good results Russ!! It has alot to do with the Tec3 tunner... (You)

Awesome job! I love to have that pan vs my Thagard jobber....
  8. Use Firefox for free.... = no adds anywhere
  9. Nice thread/ information Jon. Do you have any updates, finished pics to add?
  10. I'd offer you my advice but I'm no good with wiring.... It seems to me though, if guys can start up these motor sets on the ground, to test run them, it should be fairly easy to figure out which wires to use to power up the ECU etc. Be patient, some one here that knows should answer up when they see this....
  11. Good deal... boy, I could use one of those about now. I hate relying on the imbeciles working the tire machine in my area. I had my CCW's damaged by them, with the air hose of all things, and they had to pay to have one wheels lip re polished.... You scored!!
  12. Ahh.. thanks! I just received a response back from John @CCW, answering a question I asked him about getting my lips changed to the brushed black anodized. I think I'm going to go for it. I just need to break down the wheels and send him the shells.... If they would have had that option back when I bought mine, I wouldn't be having to do this now. I think all black will look hot on my Z
  13. To much to type out. It's all right here in the archives.... all you have to do it search it out and read till your eyes hurt...
  14. After seeing this pic, I went up in my attic and brought down my new CF air dam I got from Paulo years ago. I think I'm going to put it on this weekend, along with the new CF hood I have saved up too... Thanks for showing that pic.. it motivated me...
  15. Thats exactly what I did to my head Matt. I removed the hump in the exhaust ports also. I did touch up the whole areas on both ports with a sand paper barrel though... just enough to even out the casting lines.... Thanks for the info!!
  16. Very touching story... I wish everyone the best who this loss will personally affect. This kind of story scares the wholly crap out of me, as I'm in remission myself (4 yrs now). I hate it when I hear someone made it through the battle, then it comes right back and takes you out... janaka, thanks for posting that story from Her Coach!! RIP Carly.
  17. Thanks for the great advice 240hoke!! I've had the exact same issues using the Odyssey PC680. I got stuck after forgetting my lights on for just a short period of time not log ago. Plus, my Electromotive Tec3 ecu I think, is acting up during start up, due to cranking voltage drop. I just received my Braille B3121 kit, just like what you ordered, from Jegg's today. It's a very nice set up, and I'm sure it will solve my issues I had using the other. I will just keep the Odyssey as a spare, tucked away in the storage box behind the seats (that's where it's now mounted anyway) to use as a emergency battery....
  18. What about coming down from above with those two bolts on the nose of the diff. Can you get to that area to drill two holes strait above, then use some kind of tube sleeve cut to the correct lengths, with longer thru bolts. That way the diff will be pulled up tight against the uni body... just a wild thought...
  19. This is your best advice... click
  20. I have this brand new set for sale (they were just held on with tape for the picture) LMK
  21. You did good from the sound of it.... although I did not think there was such a thing> "the car has no rust at all" Get them thar pictures taken!
  22. Hey this is for some of our newer members here, browsing through the RB section. I'd like to invite you to join up over at another RB Z site that could help if your searching for RB related info. Come check us out. Most of us here stop in there now and then... check it out >> http://www.rbz32.com/index.php
  23. I think the black on polished will look great! What color is you Z going to be? I can't believe I can't call out the specs on my CCW's. I do know that they do slightly touch the inside front on the front tires at full lock. I should have gotten my front rims to stick out a touch further. That would have made the ZG's look better on my car, and solve the inside tire contact. When I ordered mine, I let Mike (ON3GO) and John (@ CCW) tell me what I needed to order, spec wise.... oh well, I guess a 1/2 spacer would kick my fronts out to match the ZG's... Anyways, glad to hear your getting a set too!!
