  1. I'm even using a HKS EZ electronic boost controller. I'ts got to be the tiny flapper holes causing the boost problem.... The custom software was written by a member here on HybridZ (I'll keep him anonymous unless He comes forth) to replace the crappy factory Electromotive tuning software that comes with the ECU. It makes the tuning process WAY easier, and has many cool add ons (like the road dyno feature). That was a screen shot I took of a data log pull in 3rd gear on the street (I was way out in the boonies ).
  2. I hate to see you in this position. I'd love to buy the whole lump, but in reality, I already have everything but a short block to have a build like that. If by chance (I hate to even say this) you end up having just the short short block, I'd entertain the thought of making you a deal on just that. I sure hope this is a temporary situation for You though.... Please PM me with a total though, for the whole enchilada...
  3. I tried out a short data log run in 3rd gear with my new custom made Tec3r software. My waste gate preasure is not very stable with these tiny internal W/G's. I believe this HP # is around 14 - 16lbs boost... Looks like if I would have held the pedal, it would have done better, as it was climbing still. This thing should rev to 8500, no prob. click
  4. I've been running a 88ss VLSD in my RBz for the past 6 yrs or so. It works fine for me, but I don't autocross or drag race it either. I think that's where a clutch vs viscous are more likely to come into play.

You are the Man Jeff!! Wicked craftsmanship...
  6. Thanks! Yes, most of these "HID's" scatter light all over the place, and worse, make it very nasty for people driving toward you. If you just put any ol high powered bulb in any ol round H4 housing, you will just have a super bright orgy of light spread every which way but strait ahead of you, where it's supose to be... It's not to do with the bulb, as much as it is to do with the projector! Mine are plain ol Philips 85122+ D2S oem hid 4300 35w bulbs.
  7. Once they are turned on and faced against a wall. This is my beam pattern> This to me is a so so beam pattern that I would not be happy with...
  8. They look like they should fit fine, and allow enough room that the tire won't hit them. Those type have been discussed here in other threads, but I think you are the first to actually step up and try them. Keep us updated on how you like them! I would have had to see what the beam/cut off pattern looked like with them turned on, in the dark, before I put down that much coin on them though...
  9. That would work also. I'm going to do just that on my RB. I bought a crank case evacuation kit off Summit, that comes with the proper 1 way fittings to weld into your exhaust, which pulls a vacuum as you run the engine..
  10. I just got it again Dan. The same error I posted a pic of....
  11. Does the flange bolt pattern match the L6 pattern?
  12. It's happened to me several times today alone. When it happens, I can open another tab and then open any other website I click on. I think for me anyways, this has started since our last down time. Hope this helps...
  13. It's def not your average CLSD like whats in the 87-88 Z31. It kinda appears to be a Torsen type or a helical to me.
  14. Reason I ask is I keep getting these errors as of late...
  15. I measured a difference of aprox 2" between the left and right axle at the red dots. The pass side is the longer one... Let me know if you need any other measurements.
  16. Yes, you will have to use a N/A clutch and pressure plate with it though... Either flywheel will bolt up to the L6 motor.
  17. I would not lighten a stock one anyways (just my opinion) but I can tell you from my experience, and I know of three other HybridZ members, that have been thoroughly screwed by Steve Nelson @ TEP.
  18. I have a complete Z32tt rear drop in my yard. It is complete as pulled. Where would you like me to take measurements from (with out pulling the axles) and I'll go get them for you...
  19. Sweet!! Puts a big grin on your face when you open the box up huh? Those are going to look smooth with the CF flares...
  20. I'd like to see pics of it all laid out where we can see exactly what your getting. I know Rob is the Man when it comes to RB fabrication... I'd just like to see it first
  21. I drove it to the DNI event in Georgia last May, with out even a hiccup... I'm very confident in my Z. It purr's like a kitten when I want it to.
