Scott - Awesome! When I come up to TO at the end of the month I would love to see your car! Maybe we can meet at Greg's? How come no side shot showing off the Simmons? Regards - Yasin

Jeff - I know you said don't bother replying as I sent you an email a while back, but just to confirm that I do want the downpipe. Let me know when. Thanks for your efforts. Regards - Yasin

I do not have any personal experience with them - but I think they are great seats, have an excellent reputation and a fantastic price. Most likely you will yave to be get creative to fab the bracket to install the Corbeaus in your car. Good luck and if you do pursue it and get it done - please share some pictures. Yasin P.S: Here is my 280ZXT with my $25 300ZX Turbo power seats (I modified the 300 Bracket to fit my car).

Drooool...this is from that ultra clean 240Z/S30 in Japan right? Imagine the individual TB and forced induction! Yasin

Thanks for the compliments guys - much appreciated! Len - The turbo decals can be done by any reputable graphic vinyl shop. It will cost a bit - but worth it if you want to keep that look. I actually painted the rear portion of mine as a big section was missing when I first bought the car and I made a template just using simple masking tape. It was a very long tedious process - so you have to be very patient. Hope that helps - Yasin

Hi Gang, These are 17"x7" Tenzo wheels with a +42mm offset but with the right 4x114.3 bolt hole spacing. Ross Corrigan from Modern Motorsports provided the hub adapters to bring the wheels back down to a zero offset. For rubber I am running: 215/45 Front - Yokohama Parada 235/40 Rear - Yokohama Parada The spokes on wheels are gunmetal are offset the white on the car - so in this regards I think looks pretty tight. The polished lip is 3" wide. The wheels are 18lbs each which is pretty good for a 17" wheel and the hub adapters with the 8lug nuts per corner add another 2lbs. So figure 20lbs for each corner without the tire. I spent the entre afternoon re-arranging and testing my rear coilovers and the car drives and handles superbly - before it was very harsh and a bit "darty". Enjoy! This was the car before coilovers - when I bought it a few years ago, bone stock and high like a Jeep!: After the coilovers: With the new boots, taken in Colorado at the foothills of the Rockies: Regards - Yasin

ScottieGNZ, Don't be AFRAID (PICS)!

Absolutely beautiful....I will probably feel the ground shake and I live at 6,500feet above sea level in Colorado! Is your wastegate dump connected to your downpipe or venting to atmosphere in the engine bay? Congrats! Yasin -
Personally with the kinds of technological breakthroughs in digital fuel injection I would rather go with and stick EFI. For ultimate bling factor and hp - individual throttle bodies controlled by a stand alone engine management system although you will spend a pretty penny for this setup. Triple sidedrafts were and still are cool - but for an engine that is tuned to its highest degree EFI is hard to beat. Especially if you consider triples will be sensitive to atmospheric changes, altitude changes, weather and temperature fluctations as well. The sound of triples barking at wide open throttle is pretty sweet though. If you do go with triples you will only truly benefit from them by a raise in compression, a serious cam and a well designed headerexhaust system. A friend of mine threw out all his EFI in '80 280ZX and converted to triple PH44 Mikunis (which I prefer any day over DCOE Webers!). He had the following done as well: 1) Compression up'ed to around 10:1 (safe for pump huigh octane gas) 2) Nismo headers with 3.0" exhaust 3) Crane Cam (can't remember spec) - but quite lumpy 4) Crane PS91 coil and ignition 5) Port and polished head The car was probably putting down around 220hp we reckon and it was a very clean and neat conversion. This car was faster than a '87 Z31 Turbo running slightly higher boost by about 2cars in the 14 (approx). Here are some pics of the car and yes it is one of the most beautiful 280ZXs ever! Hope that helps. Pictured with my DR30 Skyline powered Datsun pickup. Enjoy! Warming up the tires before a massive burnout - any yes the car spun those 245s with no problem!

I am running twin slimline electric Flex-A-Lite fans on my '83 ZXT and I bought their adjustable thermostat control box with a manual cab overide toggle switch. The Flex-A-Lite theromostat kit has the copper thermocouple that you place in the top rad hose. Hope that helps. Regards - Yasin

I agree with Mike - by the time that VQ is dressed - it will have cost that owner close to 2grand! Plus it is advertized as a 350Z motor with 245hp, which means the seller does not know what he is selling. As all 350Z VQ35s are rated at a hair under 290hp, which makes me think this engine is out of an Altima or Pathfinder. Still a neat motor... Yasin

One Amazing Video....check it out!...drag racing fans!
slownrusty replied to slownrusty's topic in Non Tech Board
My ethnic background? Well my folks and grand parents were born in Trinidad and Tobago (most southerly island in the Caribbean), so thats my roots. But our ancestary (spelling?)really stems back to India. Back in the 1800-1900s, Trinidad was a British colony the same time India was and the British took thousands of Indians to Trinidad to work in the sugar cane field, so thats why my ancestors ended up there. Pretty neat historical background really - although the whole colonization situation is a moot point. Well hope that answers your question any reason you asked? Have a good one - Best regards - Yasin -

Glad you guys enjoyed the video. Where do I come up with this stuff? Well I am always prowling the 'net looking for fast, neat, unique and well engineering cars. The kind of cars that on this forum we appreciate, own and build, so I thought I would share. Stay tuned for more! Best regards - Yasin -

I made a new mouth and welded that to the J-pipe, as the stock mouth will not fit over the larger 60mm opening. In the picture above, you can see the new mouth welded to the J-pipe - it has the semi-glossy black paint. Hope that helps! Regards - Yasin

Wow who airbrushed that workbench on you car.....neat! Yasin

Whats shocks to run with coilovers/camberplates
slownrusty replied to a topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Chase - Okay bro this is what I am running for struts: Front: Tokico Illumina 5ways (white) Rear: Tokico ProDraG (green) - bought for me by a friend who used to live in Japan. It felt hacking up these brand new (and rare) struts for the spring support. Tokico UDSA used to have these struts but are no longer available - they are a full race strut too. Here are some pics to check out: Rear Tokico with the original spring perch removed completely: Rear coilover: Front coilovers: Hope that helps, please ask if you have any more Q's - do you have any pics of your 240Z? Where are you going to get your triple sidedraft intake for the RB and are you maiking the engine mounts at home, how does the RB tranny fit on the stock x-member support and shifter location etc etc? I guess I should just check the "RB Series" archives! Best regards - Yasin -
Rick - you're a better man than me bro! I would be shaking my head by the time the second set of pistons went south and probably taken up a new hobby...cake baking.....bowling? Either way - pretty incredible the damage, especially the one picture showing pieces of the skirts missing off all pistons. How much boost were you running at the time as well? Did you have an EGT in the car or did you audibly hear the detonatation when the TEC adavance your timing? Good luck in the future! Best regards - Yasin

Whats shocks to run with coilovers/camberplates
slownrusty replied to a topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Chase - Welcome! I have 200# springs in the front of my Z and 225# in the rear with coilovers and its stiff! Especially the back it certainly a little harsh when going over bumps in the road. So pls be careful how stiff a spring you put in your car, especially if you drive the car (even occasionally) on the street. RB20 sounds cool - the sidedraft manifold will not be cheap! Would be neat to make it individual throttle bodies and prgrammable EFI - although that would be some big$$$ Anyway if you have any more questions feel free to ask! Glad to see anothe AE86 enthusiast on here. Regards - Yasin -
44 passes in one night! Holy moly! I would say the diesel crank held up well for 4years based on these conditions! Yasin
