  1. Ed - Sorry to hear about your experience. There have been quite a few posts in the past in regards to poor service, product etc etc over at TEP. Yasin
  2. Congrats....a fantatic and awesome ET. Yasin
  3. Joey - You would be wasting puting that tiny IC on your L6. That IC was designed for a 1.6L engine rated at 160hp. So it is drastically undersized for any L6 engine. I would put it back on eBay don't eve waste your time welding two cores together. Here is an intercooler comparison off my site for your future reference. I am running the Isuzu NPR (Truck) IC, which is sized perfectly for a the Z. Sorry for the bad news but hope this helps: From my site: On the left is the top mount IC off an AE92 chassis Japanese Spec Supercharged 4AGZE LevinCorolla. This intercooler came with my 4AGZE engine that currently resides in my AE86. It is compact and after some research and conversations with various people it will support 12psi of boost or around 175hp. The problem with it is heat soak being a top mount unit especially on a hot July day when the temperatures outside are flirting with the 100F (30+C) mark. On the right is the big brother of the 4AGZE, its off a 1986.5-1992 Toyota Supra MA70 chassis and 7MGTE engine. This intercooler is a front mount unit from the factory and will support a solid 300hp. It's design is very similar to the the AE92 in the way the tanks and fins are designed, except this a non-cross flow unit. I paid $50 for this unit and it is the one in my AE86. I figure my AE86 will never see 300hp so it is plenty big unit for my supercharged 4 cylinder application, the bang for the buck factor is huge. On the left is an Isuzu NPR intercooler off an an Isuzu Delivery truck. I believe its the smaller of two NPR versions available. It is cross flow unit and has beautiful designed end tanks and also a decently thick core size, it looks very similar to those high dollar brand name units which retail for more than $500. This unit will be going into my Datsun 280ZX Turbo very soon. For comparison you can see the 1986-1992 Supra Turbo intercooler next to it. The Supra IC can easily support 300hp, then the Isuzu unit should be good for quite a bit more, the Isuzu unit is quite large when compared to the Supra IC, and will fit nicely in the nose of my 280ZX Turbo. People keep telling me how great the Starion Intercoolers are - it seems like they are the "choice unit when an upgrade is required" or intercooling a non-intercooled car. So I had to go out and get one, I happened to get this excellent condition one inexpensively and you can see it next to the Supra turbo unit. The Starion is actually thicker and has much better end tank design and is cross flow, but overall the core is quite a bit smaller than the Supra intercooler - I was shocked, incidently both have the same 2" outletsinlets. Well I guess for those on a budget the Starion is definately a worthy upgrade and it is probably more available. Still it is an excllent factory intercooler and for an '80s car - light years ahead of most car manufacturers. Here is the Supra IC that I refinished at home with painstaking love to mount in my supercharged RWD Corolla (now sadly sold!): Regards - Yasin
  4. Absolutely beautiful! WOW!
  5. You have a bottle of blue in the trunk as well...crap..that car is going to be sick! Best part, you can blow kisses to all those SR20 Turbo 510s as you fly by them Keep up the great work! - Regards - Yasin
  6. I cured a huge amount of lag with a boost controller from Turbo XS - much smoother and spool up is about 200rpm sooner - great cure for $100! Strongly recommended Regards - Yasin

  10. Trying to keep this post alive: This beautiful '81 ZX is owned by a guy I used to go to the street races in Toronto back in the day. Engine was built by Whitehead Performance in Toronto and is putting around 240-250hp. All body work and paint was done by the owner's dad at Toyota Lexus. Next to my Silvia powered Datsun 720 pickup: Here are my favorite pictures of Blair's car - lighting it up!: This is my favorite - YEAH!: Enjoy! Yasin
  11. Wow.....taking me down memory lane I used to talk to Steve all the time at AEM this would be circa 1995...he was definately in favor of the Canon intake, which is what I bought from him. Wonder what he is doing now..... Yasin
  12. That's some sexxxy wares bro! Yasin
  13. I think it looks great - very unique, it gives the 240Z a very modern look without looking like something you would see on a car hanging around a coffee shop or parking lot of a pizza joint. Sweet hook up on getting that front end from Nismo, how expensive is it, or should I not ask? Regards - Yasin
  14. I use Stainless Works - they are the cheapest on the 'net and everyhwere I checked. Ben from Stainless Works is friendly and helpful. They have a laser department and cut custom made flanges etc for you as well. Regards - Yasin
  15. Congrats..beautiful conversion and you certainly made a lot of progress in one month....I would be still wrestling with engine mounts after a month! Regards - Yasin

  18. I have a BRAND NEW FJ20 for sale. I imported three brand new FJ engines from a Nissan Motorsport Dealer in Japan several years ago for a considerable cost. I sold one to Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun and he built a beautiful 510 with it that Adam Corolla (from the Man Show) recently bought. I installed the second heavily modified FJ engine in my Datsun 720 pickup (which was featured in three magazines) And I am now selling the third. This is a brand new genuine engine with zero miles on it, it has been sitting in my garage for many years covered and I only kept it as a spare for the one in my truck. I will be offering the truck for sale soon, so I will be selling off all my FJ stuff. The third engine is the 150hp Normally Aspirated model, it is purely an engine only, no pulleys, or flywheel or intake (does include a new water pump). But I can include a genuine set of brand new CMR FJ Racing headers with it for a little extra. I am not sure how much I want for it, but will be willing to accept a reasonable offer. Here is a picture of the engine: Sidedrafts and intake in picture not included - please note. Here is a picture of the headers - brand new, never used (no dents or dings) and just a few scratches on the original paint surface: Any questions please contact me at: slownrusty@yahoo.com For pictures of FJ powered Datsun 720 pickup: http://www.picturetrail.com/slownrusty Regards - Yasin (Colorado Springs, CO)

  22. Hi Gang, I have an external Porsche 944 Turbo wastegate on my old Toyota Corolla (not on my Z). Right now the wastegate is not connected to the downpipe and just dumps to atmosphere when it opens. What are the negatives of doing other than noise and some exhaust by-product in the engine compartment? I am thinking of re-doing my downpipe completely and building an exhaust connection from the wastegate to the downpipe, does it matter where this connection is made on the downpipe? Thanks for your help! Here is a picture of the final product, 440cc injectors, Greddy eManage, 5valves per cylinder, 4 individual throttle bodies, custom T3T04 Turbo, Spearco intercooler and a bunch of other goodies. Regards - Yasin
  23. I say paint it, here is my ZXT brakes and suspension: Regards - Yasin
